2018 I bought a car from Chrysler, I got sick and they too my car after I had pay them not to. In October 2019 the account was closed. Now, in 2022 I received a court documents nothing before that to resolve the issue from Scott and Associates claiming they are not lawyers but acting on behalf of one. Trying to collect on $13000 after the debt had been sold to them. In the state of Texas the is Regulation F that limits after 4 years for debt collectors to purse a debt. So I want to know if I need to get a lawyer at the point for being harassed with court documents that should never been filed in the first place. They trick me with a scared tactic which is also against the law. I need answer immediately.Business response

***** & Assoc sued me on behalf of Credit One. I owed 639.21. I made 2 payments of 213.07 online. A week before the court date I went to make the final payment of 213.07 online and they blocked me from paying online. They do not respond to emails except to say "call our office". They are rude and threatening over the phoneBusiness response

I receive a complain that they were going to send garnishment for a debt i paid in 2019 regarding a bill. I have tried several times to resolve the matter and they will not call back. This is very poor management when you're talking about someone's income.Business response

I first spoke with this company almost 2 months ago on a debt that I've paid on. I was told to email the payment information along with my file number. I did, as instructed. Weeks go by and nothing. I email Jessica numerous times and the only response I've received is she cannot respond through email. Even though I was told to email her the information. Now i have tried calling and no answer and no voice mail. I have also asked for a call back and nothing. Now they have issued a court appearance for an account i have paid on.Business response

Hi my is *********** *******, ***** & Associates is representing Credit one Bank. This credit card was a joint account with General L ******* who is my husband. I used the card the most. I had to file a chapter 7 for some debt I accurd. My husband was listed on my bankruptcy filing. He did not file with me. ***** & Associates place a judgment on my husband for this joint account. The account fileb# XXXXXXX X /XX XXXX. The same time as my judgment dated 7/24/ 2018. In enrest this debt is a part of my bankruptcy. However ***** &Associates is still trying to collect the debt. . I spoke to The Bankruptcy attorney Mr Moss & Associates. He said my husband could still be liable. I call ***** & Associates today trying to get a itemized bill to settle the matter. I keep being told to have Mr Moss call them. Mr. Is not representing General L *******. Please Help Me setting this issue. I need to know what was the true itemized bill before all the fees. My husband and I paid the $4800 loan they said he took out in 2018 even though he does not recall taking this loan. They sent a letter in July stating that loan was paid in full but we have another loan they want to collect on. I told them they are not getting anything else and yesterday they sent another letter saying we again owed for the loan that was just paid off and it was a different amount. I will not play these games anymore. I will reach out to my lawyer if this does not stop.Business response
