    Hired to replace cut out dry wall and reinstall bathroom cabinetry after a water ************************ Carranza said the job would take about 3 weeks. I dealt with numerous reschedules and no shows, when questioned about the lack of progress he alternated between two answers; "I'm working on it" or "that's the way things are". It ultimately took over 5 months for an unsatisfactory result- wall painting unfinished, cabinet drawers that don't close smoothly, backsplash not flush and adhered with thick white caulk that doesn't match anywhere else in my home, baseboard that doesn't match the rest. Throughout this, he stated that some things were not included in his original estimate and he would have to make adjustments.I received a payment demand the same day that he last appeared at my house. I requested, reasonably I thought, a final itemized invoice to see exactly what kind of balance remained especially since his mention of cost adjustments. This immediately became accusation of failure to pay, threats of collection agencies and law suits and most laughably a threat of reporting me for committing insurance fraud. I was deluged with daily calls, texts and emails demanding immediate payment while pointedly refusing any explanation of why it took so long to His response to an itemized final bill was to keep sending me a copy of the original forms and using "insurance-speak" r.e. deductible obligation, depreciation value, change order agreement instead of giving a straight and simple numbers.I mistakenly chose this business because they are local and I believed would be more trustworthy and detail oriented vs. the national companies. It turns out Carranza is just one more of the multitude of illegitimate contractors taking advantage of the public.

    Awful communication. Horrible service. No empathy or urgency. Selfish business practices. ******* came out to inspect our roof for damages needing repair. (He was referred by another company and during the visit tried to minimize their job implying we dont need their work). We were promised an estimate with pictures same day. Did not get the estimate until 6 days later after asking consecutive business days in a row. When we finally received the estimate, still no pictures. When they called to collect payment (which they do prior to work and we know this), they wanted to collect the money without telling me what day they would be out. After voicing concerns that we would pay them and the work not be done for an undisclosed amount of time, we were told with attitude, its either that or we can go somewhere else. When we expressed our desire to get the work done quickly as mold was forming and we have two small children (1 and 3 yrs old), ******* responded Everyone has small children.

    I apologize for not being able to get our crew out within one week over the holiday weekend. I’ve only spoken to your husband during the process until the last conversation regarding the situation had me speaking with you. In any event, I clearly see that we lacked communication and empathy on our behalf and will use this as a reminder to implement better practices in our service no matter how small a project.
