We hired Vance Dozer, LLC to tear down and remove a home and garage 215 *************, *****. The contract was dated 2/19/22 with a price of $13,000. We paid a $7,000 down payment on 2/19/22. Contract stated 4-5 business day for completion. 3/2/22 I sent text to Vance asking when he will start project.3/4/22 I texted Vance again asking when he will start 3/8/22 I texted again when's the start date?3/15/22 Vance texted saying delayed due to issues 3/20/22 I texted again what's the start date?3/21/22 Vance texted "this week"3/22/22 Vance texted "start on 3/24"3/24/22 Vance texted "Having issues"3/28/22 Vance texted that he "was unprofessional"4/2/22 I texted when's the start date?4/6/22 Vance texted "tomorrow 4/7/22"4/7/22 Vance texted he was on his way with equipment 4/8/22 Vance texted he was moving his equipment today 4/8/22 I texted that I wanted my money back. No deal.4/9/22 Vance texted he was on his way with equipment.4/12/22 Vance used borrowed equipment and demolished house and garage 4/14/22 I texted Vance asking when will he remove debris 4/18/22 Vance texted he is sending another contractor to remove debris 4/19/22 New contractor met with me and said he would charge $10,000 to remove debris 4/20/22 Another contractor quoted $11,000 to remove debris.We have had no contact with Vance Dozer since 4/18/22. We had to hire ****** Services for $13,000 to remove debris and trees to complete the contract. Sent Vance Dozer a demand letter from our attorney on 5/9/22. No response.3 contractors said they would have charged $4,000 to demolish the house and garage. We requested in demand letter for Vance to return $3,000. No response.Initial Complaint

In November 2021, we met with Vance Dozer regarding $5,000 worth of work to regrade our back yard. $2,000 was given as a deposit. As of April 2022, Vance Dozer had not begun work on the project. We had given a plethora of opportunities for him to start the project but he was continually a "no show", therefore we decided to go in a different direction and asked for our deposit back. Vance agreed to return the deposit and said he would mail a cashiers check. One week came and went, then another, then another... Today, April 21st and Vance has not returned our deposit and is now not answering our calls.
