I terminated the lease with Flats on 12 under the terms agreed upon--established a move-out date, notified the leasing office under the terms of the lease agreement, completely cleaned and vacated the unit on 2 Mar 2024, turned in the keys to the leasing agent and provided a forwarding address. I received a move-out statement reflecting a $674.28 balance I am owed (security deposit and overpayment of rent) dated 12 Apr 2024 (well past the 30 day Texas Property Code statute) and never received a check. I have contacted the property manager and corporate offices numerous times over the course of 8 months to rectify the issue and keep getting told someone will work with me to get the check issued and sent as required. As of 21 Nov 2024, I still have not received a check and no one from the leasing office or corporate offices have provided any updates or provided any resolution even after multiple e-mail requests.Initial Complaint

I have been having issues with leaks in my apartment. Leaking bathtub and a loud, leaky AC unit. I placed two separate work orders and received services on 9/7/22 and 9/11/22. On both occasions the technicians said they would need to come back "in a day or two" to complete the work orders. It has been two weeks, and neither of them have returned. I have called the leasing office daily since then and made personal stops there to see if any resolution to my issue can be made. They promised on Friday 9/16 that a technician would be dispatched to complete the work orders on either that day or Monday 9/19. As of 9/19, they have told me they will not be sending anybody and that I have to wait, despite what the technicians and the property manager have said previously.Initial Complaint

Please be advised that after multiple documented attempts to contact Flats on 12 apartments in *************** to cancel the utilities in my name after I moved out on June 2022. I continue to pay over $200 in utility charges with another payment due to next week in the amount of $222. Nobody at Flats on 12 responds to phone calls or even answers the phone. The apartment complex has taken well over two months to restore my Air Conditioning unit to full working capacity. This has been adversely effecting my health and the unit still continues to this day to not be fully functional. I am happy to provide any information needed to get this matter solved. My neighbor in Apartment 2 is smoking weed inside the apartment, and the smell is coming into my apartment via the ac vents. I am allergic to hemp/ cannabis. I spoke to the apartment management. They promised they would work on moving me to another apartment. I said I would be open to that. Unfortunately, they told my neighbor I was the one who filed the complaint. She retaliated by smoking weed nonstop making it nearly impossible for me to even spend much time in my own apartment. I've had several allergic reactions including hives, rashes, and upper respiratory issues. I have contacted apartment management and even provided photos as proof of the allergic reaction, but they refuse to talk to me. They have remained radio silent since August 5. I have tried to call the office and to send emails via the resident portal. Still, I have not heard from them. I have filed multiple work orders only to have management cancel them. One of those orders includes a dripping refrigerator with ***** shelves inside. They deemed it no important. In their absence, I've had to turn the a/c off during the hottest days of summer in order to keep the smell of weed out of my apartment. When i get home from work, I turn on the ac and then close off the vent over my bed and redirect the smell into the bathroom. I have called the police multiple times. I feel unsafe and I go to sleep every night hoping and praying I don't go into anaphylactic shock in the middle of the night. This morning I woke up gasping for air because my nose and throat were so swollen. All I have been asking is to move to another apartment where I won't be exposed to my allergen.Initial Complaint

Ive been putting in maintenance request for over a month and nothing been fix, Ive been communicating with the land lords and managers and nothing has been fix and I have proof
