  Business provided a $150 quote for services. Provided a false quote and diagnosis. He ended up charging $440.56 without prior explanation of additional fees other than the $150 quote and consent to begin.

  Hello , so I was referred to this customer from a friend . I told the customer I was and hour away and my ********************** call was 150 and there wilbe additional charge such as labor if I had to bring out any tools or if I had to do any work . I was told this was a bid only . The reason I was charge for a trip is because of the distance, The customer said that was ok . So I get to the call we talked and I ask her what kinda of systems she looking to get . She said Ill leave it up to you, so I look around and notice the condenser units have been changed out and that theyre new . She said yes! I said ok what are you wanting me to do she said make sure all the units are working properly. Maam Im here for a bid, I am charging if I gotta go through each unit . So she says thats fine . So I proceeded, now I get to the attic and notice the units in the attic are old and recommended that she needs to replace them. She said why wont they come on, I said because someone turned the breakers off , your house is under construction, so now she wants me to look at a 3rd unit in the back separate house, I did I informed the customer that the unit is leaking at the coil and it wasnt worth fixing because the coil is so high at cost , your better off replacing the system . Shes says give me a bid I said yes maam I will send you an ******* along with todays charge, she says ok thats fine . I sent her the bid and the service charge plus trip , she flipped lid saying your charging me 400 to flip a breaker, I said no maam I am charging you for the resetting the breaker and for looking at 3 units plus the trip . Now I can assure you 400 was cheap . So please take this off my better business bureau. I am not interested in entertaining this engagement.   I am rejecting this response because: Unfortunately, the attached invoice gives the diagnosis which is different from what he ****** in his response. Due to the intentional misdiagnosis this caused a leak in the house and severe damage to dry wall and ceilings. I also have attached a text message conversation between he and I showing that he never had given ** any information prior on additional charges.
