I was serviced for fillings mid February. The fillings were not done properly. I had to return to the dentist to have my teeth properly serviced. I was in the middle of switching employers. I contacted the dentist and was told that I need to come back in to have my fillings corrected. In turn the dentist who normally does my teeth had returned and fixed the issue. There was a file sent to my prior dental insurance provider as well as my current provider. When I called to ask why he had submitted claims to both providers, he said that he needed to be paid for his services. I then said that his business was paid 2 times. For the filling that was done incorrectly and for the time that he corrected the issue. I am requesting that the claim that was submitted the second time be reversed. This business was paid for services that were only completed properly once. This is fraud. I will be contacting my dental insurance provider to inform of the fraudulent claim submission.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/11) */ Patient was seen in our office on 2/17/2022 by Dr. ***** (a temp DDS for the week) as Dr. ********** was out of the office. ******* was seen on that day for a filling. Nothing heard from him until 3/7/2022 about having any issues, Dr. ********** saw him on 3/7/2022 and had to redo the filling done previously by Dr. ****** Other treatment was also performed that day. ******* had been in constant contact about his new insurance taking effect March 1, 2022 and when we did see him on 3/7/2022 he was told by Dr. ********** that there was no patient portion for him but as customary office policy since he had new insurance the treatment done on 3/7/2022 by a different provider than the 1st filling, would be filed to his insurance. On 3/7/2022 the filling had to be redone and it was filed to his insurance, as is the proper office protocol. Please inform the patient that any procedures performed are billed to insurance and that our office has not violated any insurance filling procedures.
