The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either a) did not accept the response, OR b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction.

I made an appointment with the Mint Dentistry location on *********** near 45. I did everything they asked of me including online new patient paperwork & providing dental insurance info beforehand. On the day of my appointment 4/15/2024 they called me in the morning stating they were unable to verify insurance info. I provided the information once again & the rep stated it was fine. Upon arriving at my appt, the receptionist was on a call. She asked me to have a seat, 10 minutes later she let me know she was ready to check me in. Upon providing my info she said "we were unable to verify ins info". I explained that I had already provided it twice & she let me know it was for medical & not dental. She said I could call my HR **** but they were already closed. I asked if she could call member ************** said "I don't call insurance's or verify benefits". I then proceeded to call the member services # and was able to obtain the info. After I provided the info, she let the dental hygienist know to take me back for x-rays. I got x-rays and was then introduced to another DA to take more ***************** Those 2 employees were very nice. After making my dental impressions for my teeth whitening trays I was walked back to the front where I was told I would have to make another appt to finish my "exam" because I had missed the dentist by 10 minutes. She proceeded to tell me that the dentist had left 10 minutes before I arrived because she didn't have adequate childcare. As a mother myself I am understanding, but this should have been said to me BEFORE I was taken back so I could do the entire appointment another day & not waste my time. Im sure they did this to bill my dental insurance twice.

I am a doctor, I understand medicine, corporate business and customer service. I am overdue for a dental cleaning by 1 year and 4 months. I didnt have dental insurance for months, been working non-stop and my schedule isnt easy to fit in any routine healthcare appointments. I drive 1.5 hours to work and home from work. So I fit everything into my lunch breaks. That being said, I scheduled an appointment for last week at 12:15, for a routine cleaning. I was finally about to be taken back at 12:48 and I said I had to be back at work for 1:15, theres no way I could be back at work, with mandatory radiographs and such, by 1:15. The manager was super accommodating, I was grateful and rescheduled for today. I had radiographs taken, informed the dentist today, whos new to me that I have gingival hyperplasia, have had it my whole life, etc etc. By the time the dentist reviewed all the radiographs and then wanted a repeat radiograph of an additional tooth, it was around 12:50. I told the technician (who was super nice) after she repeated a radiograph and said someone would come in with an estimate, that I didnt have time. Was leaving for 6 weeks out of state and would deal with cavities and such in the future. She was supportive, set up everything for cleaning but then someone came in with an estimate from the front, stating everything was covered by insurance but the cleaning that was in between a regular and deep cleaning. Told I had to pay 343$. By this time it was 1:00pm but I still responded and asked if I could atleast just get a regular cleaning. Was told no because the dentist wanted a deeper cleaning. So I chose to leave, due to time and frustration. I went to this facility twice before, never had an issue and was never denied a cleaning. Its beyond frustrating that I was denied a routine dental cleaning. What makes more sense? Getting routine cleanings more frequently, or denying someone a cleaning if its not a mid-range cleaning? Never going back.
