Dear ExecutiveTeam; Our bank account was automatically charged for a discount program that was not authorized. My language is Spanish and I may have been taken advantage of due to my limitations. I do not remember agreeing to a yearly discount program. I was invoiced $140 and I had no balance to cover unauthorized charges. I contacted the office and spoke to Mrs. Brenda H******** which was to generate cancellation and it was not done. My husband contacted the office at 972-893-8730 and left a message to cancel and it was not done. How many other Texans have they done this to and how much money have they stolen from our bank accounts. I would like a full investigation for this business and I would like to get a refund of the money stolen from my account $140. Thank you Texas resident ******* ***** XXX-XXX-XXXX XXX-XXX-XXXX ****** *****

Not impressed. They are a business model for sure. I've gone to my family dentist my entire life. It was a lot more personal. This was such a waste of my time. The dentist was subpar and was just interested in selling stuff. The hygienist didn't do a good job cleaning at all. I can still feel plaque on my teeth and my guns are all bleeding. My gums hardly ever bleed during cleanings. I can literally feel my heart beat in my gums as I write this. They said I have cavities. I am friends with my old dental hygienist who retired. She checked out my teeth and there is no cavity. There are a few teeth I need to watch out for but they don't need fillings. They're just out to make money. I told them my night guard to help with grinding didn't fit anymore. Not a single mention that they could make me one until I got to the checkout desk where they had an estimate for one. They're very unorganized. I would never use them again. And still as I wrote this my gums are in so much pain. That is unacceptable.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/06) */ Patient never expressed any concerns to our staff. We did document the following teeth with Decay # 14,15,18,19,30 . The pt mention she cant see a hole in enamel or doesn't have pain , so she doesn't believe it and only when she has pain she will get anything done on her teeth. We try to avoid patient from having pain and don't wait till the issues is escalated to address it. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I did express these concerns to the front desk lady. And it's pretty funny that mint dentistry decided to ignore all of the other components of my complaint. As I said my old dental hygienist who retired after 30+ years took a look at my teeth and there was no reason to drill into my teeth and put a filling in when there is no cavity. Since writing this review I went to a very well-known and award winning dentist in the Colleyville area who looked at my teeth and found no cavities and no reason to drill into my teeth. He confirmed what my old dental hygienist said that there are a couple teeth I need to watch but they don't need to be prematurely filled. He was shocked to hear how many teeth mint dentistry suggested I have filled. He only saw two teeth that could potentially lead to a cavity. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/07/11) */ If the patient wants to provide documentation from her second opinion. We will be more than happy to review the formal documentation. We will not accept comments made from a friend who is a hygenist. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/07/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This place is a scam. They're like a child when they respond to these complaints focusing on 1 portion of the complaint. As I said, I went to a very successful dentist in Colleyville who said I'm fine. He said he gets a lot of patients from Mint who were unsatisfied for similar reasons.

April 5th I received an email from the Spring Mint Dental company saying my $10 payment could not be processed. I replied that I haven't been a customer of theirs since an estimate of 2018 date and remove me from their advertising list. This made me go look at the card that they had on file. I haven't used that card in years. So many that they closed the account. That's why the payment was denied. I went back as far as possible to see that Mint Dentistry has been charging me $10 all this time. I requested from them a copy of my contract signed back in 2018 because I was told I would have to re-sign yearly if I chose to keep them as my dentist. I never resigned anything. Now I can't get a reply out them. I have sent 5 emails now and nothing still from them. The credit card is closed so I can't ask for a back payment credit to that card but I at least want something in exchange. And I want to see the contract I signed giving them the right to keep charging me for YEARS with no services rendered. This has affected my credit also!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/11) */ The patient had a crown on tooth #8 that a different provider completed. We recemented the crown on 11/24/21. The patient came back because it fell out again, and at that time it was recommended for the patient to have the tooth pulled, get a bone graft, and place a bridge. The patient did have issues with the temporary bridge as the temporary did fall out a few times. We never cemented the permanent bridge, and the patient requested a refund. A refund agreement was signed and she was refunded $1103.50 on 2/03/2022. She called the office yelling because she was upset that the temporary fell out again and wanted us to complete the work. The Patient is stating that her insurance paid for the bridge, so we should complete the work. The insurance only paid toward the EXT, Bone graft, and the build-ups on teeth 7 and 9. Due to the patients irate behavior towards are staff she has been dismissed from all Mint Dentistry locations. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The information concerning my crown is incorrect my tooth broke while eating some food the previous night before my dentist appointment with mint on 11/24/2022 they did not try or attempt to replace the tooth on my appointment day nor did the dentist listen when the molds were completed and I informed the tech that the molds were not correct in their response they stated I was satisfied if I was satisfied with the work why did I go to another location not only did her work come out on several occasions I had to see several dentist after that the refund request was after all the visits for the temp bridge I have the records for the dates of service and when the refund was requested I also do not agree with the Dr. signing off saying their was a break down between the provider and customer that only came after I requested the refund pictures were sent of the work for the temporary bridge so no I did not want the Dentist Dr. Whitney to complete a permeant bridge the work is horrible I sent the pictures to show how the work was done and I did complain at the time of service not to mention a portion of the bone graph was done incorrectly there was no recommendations for a crown my tooth was broke that's what brought me into the office in the first place. I did not call yelling the office manager left me on hold at for over 30 mins knowing the office was closing not only did she inform me after I asked for another location again that they could not help and the day I call I was at Modern Dental I also have phone records for the calls on that day I never yelled at anyone I did cut the conversation short after being told the had no available appointments I want a full refund services were incomplete and my tooth is still falling out the same tooth I went in the office for and is now pulling off my other tooth

Date: 8/27/19 Cost: $1,862 Mint dentistry charged me this amount for a crown that they never put in. I have reached out numerous times to resolve this issue and they keep telling me this is how dentists work and they cannot refund my purchase. The issue is, I went to the dentist for a check up and they told me I needed a crown. I went back the next day to get the crown put in and was told it was a same day service. After they completed the core build up they then told me I needed to come back in two weeks to get the actual crown put in. I was moving out of state the next day and the staff was well aware of this. I asked for a refund and was never given one because "that's not how dentists work."

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/22) */ The patient had started treatment for a crown on 8/27/2019. Upon checkout of the appointment we mentioned that we would be give her a call to seat the permanent once it came back from the office. The patient then stated that she was moving out of town the next day and was not aware this was a two step process. There is a script that MINT uses tow explain to patients that this is at least a two step process for crown. The patient also signed consents stating that she would need to come back to have the permanent crown seated. The patient then requested for a refund however that was denied because we did complete treatment on the tooth, and the patient was informed that she would need to come back to have the crown seated. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is not true, but unfortunately it will always be my word against theirs. The staff knew ahead of time that I was going out of town and they scheduled the appointment regardless. The staff did not explain to me that it was a two step process prior to the appointment. No one explained what the process entailed at all, so if there is a script Mint is doing a poor job ensuring it is being used. The consent forms they have you sign are stored on their computer so the patient does not have the ability to thoroughly read the consent, you are relying on what the staff state to you when you sign. The doctor who worked on me never even introduced himself or explained what he was doing. Mint treats dentistry like an assembly line which leads to these mistakes. Mint offers a free whitening tooth kit if you give them a good review which is why they have so many. If you read the bad reviews you will see many other patients having the same exact experience as mine.
