Contacted them through chat Thursday, 29 August to cancel my membership after I had entered my correct credit card information which was only an updated expiration date immediately after which I text I mean over chat ask them for cancellation and prior to this the membership was only $39 I believe, and after my cancellation was supposedly put through on Thursday we were well first of all we were disconnected on chat and conveniently it was before they gave me my cancellation request and then they closed for the weekend which was a holiday weekend and conveniently bill me an elevated price of $59 today and theyre telling me they have no record of me chatting in to cancel but its a little bit weird that I chat to cancel. Im disconnected before the confirmation was given to me and the email was never sent and yet Im billed an elevated price of $59 today before I could contact them again and cancel so I had to call them again. I chat with them again to ask for a cancellation and they supposedly processed it. Ill wait and see if *** got that email but the point is Ive had this buried in my account for two years and theyve been billing me every month $40 for *********************************************************************************************** that authorization or confirmation number that was that longer ago so I took that up to the game and eat that but just do the math. They screwed me over now for over two years and then they start charging me more after another cancellation request was not put through $59 today. This is ignorant and ridiculous , and they conveniently say we dont have record of your cancel and they charge you more. I was doing the right thing by updating my credit card exp. so I updated it and immediately afterwards chatted into cancel,. Ive only logged into this account three times in two years, 2 were to cancel.and Those Were In the last 7 days! Im billed over $1400 for one login and two failed cancellation requestBusiness response

On 8-21-24 I found out that Scoresense was on autopay when checking my account for another transaction. I contacted the number to the business and they sent me over to the escalation department. I was going to refinance I checked my credit. I never new that they were going to bill me. I work 12 to 16 hour days trying to make ends meet. Come to find out they have been billing me ever month since 7-21-21 up until 8-21-24. 3 years 38 payments in the amount of ***** totaling *******. I was emailed by ******************* Senior Escalations Manger and he basically said he wasn't going to reimburse me only 2 payments and basically go ahead about my business. I just asked to be reimburse not but majority of my money. I feel like the I deserve that. I only used the them twice in 3 years that goes to show that I didn't know that I was being charged for a app that I don't even use. Please help me recoup my funds. Per the email from *************** refunded 2 payments and said that's it the case was closed. I said that was unacceptable he was very rude poor customer serviceBusiness response

ScoreSense has been charging my credit card for years. Multiple times a year I email and call them to cancel yet they can't find my name, credit card number, social security number, address, anything in the system. I have given them every possible way for them to lookup an account and/or charge. The reason is because I do not have an account, nor have ever had an account. How can they continue charging my credit card month after month with no way to cancel. Emails, phone calls, escalation after escalation and nothing. They even increased the price this year! This is just a perpetual scam that the dollar amount has now climbed to where it will be worth getting the legal system involved. I would love a refund and the charges to stop but they 'can't find my account'... The charges to my **** are attached. The most recent is July and I have them all the way to 2018 if you need them.Business response

This company has been charging my debit card ***** a month since May 2024. I only realized this today. I called the number on the transaction listed with my bank and was told they cannot locate an account for me. So no way to cancel their service. A credit score service of which I have no need of. They said I would have requested a credit report with a free 7day trial period and agreed to be charged monthly service fee after trail period. And now they cant locate my account. They requested I send them my bank account statement for them to further review. No way will I send this. It gives them all bank info to switch payments form debit card to actual bank account. Ive reported this to my bank and they have issued a new debit card which will stop further charges. How do these companies continue to do business much less have an A+ score with BBB.Business response

Score Sense has used my personal email to try to charge me for a membership that I have never signed up for, I feel that they are also trying to keep all of my personal information, such as to my ************* Account, and **** of America.Customer response

Bank of America does not want to allow my bank card to work. I even visited the branch a few times and they gave me a new card that will not work.

I signed up for the service and called to cancel plan and offered me a discount to keep service but already charged my credit card and requested refund but never back from customer care. It has been over a week so I feel they take your money and dont care about their customers.Business response

This letter addresses the complaint filed by *************************** against ScoreSense, a credit monitoring product owned and operated by One Technologies, LLC.
******************** states he contacted ScoreSense to cancel his free trial but had already been charged; although he requested a refund, he claims he never heard back from **************
*************************** signed up for ScoreSense for the 6th time on 6/15/2024 and did message ************* two hours after his trial period had ended on 6/22/2024, which means he had already been charged.
Like he had done several times before, he agreed to keep his membership active buy accepting a price reduction to $12.95 per month; he was also advised that his request for a refund could not be guaranteed.
Upon receipt of his complaint, we cancelled Mr. ********* membership and issued him a full refund.

06/01/2024 Un authorized charge from my checking account denied a refund claiming I had not touch bases with them after a certain time. Well first ofr all they were suppose to be supplying me with my 3 credit bureau reports... ie I never received them But I was charge for no service and was refunded a 1. and some change which was the initial sign up fee. I decline the monitoring after the price was given yet they charge me after canceling. See Letter and info I could gather after thinking I had canceled the opt in for there service. I got an email saying my husband's credit score was checked citing an address that neither of us have ever lived, not to mention, an address that doesn't even exist. How did my husband's credit score got associated with my email and a fake, non existent address is beyond me. I know this business exists in *****, which we all know is a ******* hellscape, but in NY, identity theft is a crime punishable by prison time. So why is the BBB allowing this place to continue to exist?!Business response

********** offers consumers a 7-day free trial of its online credit monitoring product; a $1.00 refundable processing fee is charged at time of purchase to verify payment. If the trial is not cancelled during the first 7 days, a monthly membership account begins at $29.95 and continues until cancellation.
*************** established his ********** membership on 2/23/2024, Member ID *********; he cancelled the following day, receiving a refund of the processing fee and retaining access to his account until 3/01/2024.
