Dear Hinge Support,I am writing to inquire about the ban placed on my account. I was notified via email that my account was banned. I later got screenshots from matches via text explaining that it was for "fraudulent reasons," specifically related to allegedly soliciting money or stealing personal financial information. I find this accusation deeply concerning and defamatory, as I have never engaged in such activities.The email sent to my matches announcing this ban caused significant embarrassment, forcing me to explain a situation I do not understand. I have already attempted to address this through the app and by emailing Hinge support directly. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive a response or human review of my case.Therefore, I am writing to you in the hope of understanding the specific reasons for this ban and how it might be resolved. I am at a loss as to how I could be accused of fraudulent financial activities, particularly given that I hold federal security clearance, which would be immediately revoked if such allegations were true. Hello,I'm Beemnet, I got banned on hinge Jan 2025, I opened the app and it said the message below. I paid for the premium subscription, $150 early Jan 2025. I tried to appeal but for weeks it gave me an error, and I emailed them and they kept saying to appeal on the app. I got the appeal decision through email before submitting an appeal (attached) , which shouldn't happen based on their terms and conditions. I am not sure of the conditions of my ban, I was left by myself to find a solution to the ban which ended up not being worth it due to the permanent ban before I could submit an appeal without an error. i did submit an appeal through the app after weeks of errors but I assume the decision was already made. I wish I could have had a fair appeal, and known what I was banned for to improve myself in the future, i want to not make the same mistake. My hinge account was banned in the fall (I think in October) even though I never violated the terms of service. My roommate and best friend was stalked and battered by a hinge user who I know still uses the platform to this day. My roommate filed a criminal case against him which implicates me as a witness to some of his actions. I believe he reported my account as an act of retaliation. Im a 21 year old girl who has never gotten in any fights with a hinge date, used inappropriate language, nor participated in unwanted sexual contact. I know hundreds if not thousands of Hinge users have experienced something similar and its incredibly frustrating. The lack of due diligence is so unfair to users who are using the app as intended. This situation has been handled so poorly. Hinge prompts you to add documentation but fails to mention what documentation I should be providing. I havent been told what specifically Ive been banned for so how am I supposed to combat the accusations? Every time I email they dont respond so thank you BBB for at least getting me a subpar response. Ive attached the criminal report against my roommates stalker who is a hinge use who needs to be banned irregardless of whether or not he was the person who reported me. I understand that the review system is not automated, but I still stand firm on my belief that there is a complete lack of thorough investigation because there is no way on earth anyone could have provided evidence that is not doctored proving I violated the terms of service (shockerbecause I never have!)

Hello I have been using Hinge for the last 2 years as a on and off paid member. Hinge has always provided top notch service and never had any complaints with the matching platform and I met some very amazing people through the app. My hinge was recently banned as well as my tinder at the exact same time which I thought was very strange. I have not violated any privacy issues based off my knowledge and was hoping to have my account reinstated. My life is very busy due to work and dating apps was my best way to stay social and meet quality people for dates. I respect hinges policies and take them very serious and made sure never to post a picture or say anything inappropriate to other fellow users. I always treated all individuals on the platform with the upmost respect. I want to continue being a paid user and wanted to see if someone can really look into it. There is a trend online in which mentions how Hinge users are randomly getting banned from Hinge due to either revenge reporting or errors in the ** system set in place to review accounts. In my 5 years as a consistent and upstanding user of the app, I have treated everyone and anyone how I would want to be treated. Equally, kindly and with respect. There is absolutely no reason for me to be banned unless by technical error or revenge reporting as recently I have had to let down some matches that expressed their interest in me but I did not feel the same but wished them luck in their future endeavors. I would not like to have to go through higher channels as I could to escalate this complaint so please review this carefully and with precision. I love using Hinge to meet new people and to hopefully find a long term partner, so there is no logical reason I would sabotage myself as this app works quite well for me quite frankly. If I did violate any type of rules or outlines, I whole heartedly was oblivious but very strongly believe I had not nor have a reason to. However, to be banned without explanation is preposterous knowing that I did nothing wrong and live my life with high morals and values respecting everyone's views and decisions. This is quite literally the only dating app I enjoy using and I've been nothing but honest on it, never been inappropriate or remotely ask for monetary payment. *** also had multiple paid subscriptions on this service and would continue to. I'm just a regular kind guy who wants to find a long lasting partner. Apologies for the long appeal but this is how I feel on the situation as I know this decision was out of the ordinary and potentially flawed!Business Response

Furthermore, Hinge may "remove your access to our services without warning" if Hinge determines this action to be appropriate.
While we understand you may want additional detail, Hinge cannot disclose specifics beyond what was disclosed in the appeal decision in order to protect the privacy of our users and comply with the Hinge Privacy Policy. This decision has been thoroughly reviewed and the ban will remain in place.
We understand this is not the desired outcome, however, the Hinge account will remain banned and any new accounts created will also be subject to termination.

A girl showed up to a date intoxicated, tried making out with multiple other people, disappeared for 2 hours and then demanded I let her stay at my place. When I refused she said she was going to report me to Hinge. A few days later I was banned from Hinge. The girl clearly filed a fraudulent report against me and Hinge is taking her word against mine and banning me which I think is unfair and unwarranted.Business Response
