Dear Hinge Support Team,I am writing to express my deep disappointment and distress over the unjust removal of my account. I have been a victim of targeted false reports, used as a weapon by people with personal vendettas against me, including individuals who have attempted to harm me in the past. Instead of being protected from this kind of abuse, I have been punished without even being given the chance to defend ********* be completely transparent, I am a survivor of sexual abuse and have had to endure the trauma that comes with it. Some of the people who have falsely reported me are the same individuals who have tried to harm me before. It is devastating that after everything I have gone through, I am now being victimized again this time by Hinge, a platform that claims to be safe and inclusive.Additionally, I have faced retaliation from people I rejected romantically, who have maliciously used your reporting system to silence me. It is shocking that Hinge allows this kind of abuse to happen so easily. Instead of investigating reports properly, your system allows people to ruin someones reputation with a single click, and the real victims, people like me, are the ones who suffer.What makes this even worse is that I believe my gender and appearance have played a role in this decision. I feel I have been judged unfairly, subjected to discrimination, and cast aside without consideration for the impact this would have on me. Dear Better Business Bureau, I am writing to file a formal complaint against Hinge, a dating app owned by Match, regarding an unjustified ban on my account. Hello, I tried to appeal my ban on hinge, and they denied it. I have never done anything wrong besides that my account was hacked by someone not on my phone without permission. I tried to cancel the login of them to have access to my account and they got into my hinge and spammed messages and likes to get myself banned. This is extremely frustrating for me to have my account banned because I paid for the App and have met amazing people through the app. I have not been banned on any app such as bumble or tinder and use the apps following the rules. I appealed to the app, and they quickly replied denying my request. However, they couldn't of reviewed my reply because they sent it back too fast. They have not informed me to as why my account was banned. I have spent ***** on the app per month and have been on the app for over a year. My account was hacked there for leading to actions against the rule to ban me. I would like my account reinstated because the actions that got my account banned was not me. I think that hinge is really missing an opportunity here to go about their business a better way. I was banned on my account for no reason after successfully having this account a year. They told me to send in my government ID to make sure the name and pictures and age match the account which they do! Also, even if I did say something wrong which I really dont think I did I would like to learn from that mistake of be given a warning first so I know not to do it again. We are humans who often make mistakes and its not important to focus on the mistake for too long but to focus on how to become a better person from that mistake. I really feel that I am being wronged here and would really appreciate your help to get my account back. I have spent hundreds here. They asked for my government ID which I did and also attached here. Hello, I was unexpectedly banned from hinge on Jan 29th, 2025 without any explanation. I appealed the decision and requested some sort of explanation to what I might have done wrong. Within literal 20 seconds of submitting the appeal I got the response: "Our team has reviewed your appeal request and confirmed that you are in violation of our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. Therefore your account will remain banned. This decision is informed and final and subsequent appeals will not be considered." I'm uncertain about the specific reasons for my removal and which community guidelines I may have unknowingly violated. It seems that the actions taken against my account did not provide an opportunity for me to defend myself or gain insights into any potential mistakes. I severely doubt that anyone has even looked at my appeal. I've used this platform before and never had any issues of such sort and engage in civil and kind conversations. Thanks for your help with my case. I know for a fact that I was removed for the wrong reasons. The only thing I can think of is there was one woman in ******* that I took out on a date that was extremely rude and disrespectful to me so I took her home from the date early. I was always nice to her and never stooped to her level. Considering that Hinge has not provided any justification for my ban and refuses to hear my side of the story, I would like to pursue legal action against. Is there a law firm or class action lawsuit you recommend? I will do whatever it takes to win this case because I know I have been wronged.

I recently had my Hinge account banned for allegedly violating the bullying, harassment, and harm policy. However, I genuinely do not recall doing anything that would violate these guidelines. I believe this may have been the result of a retaliatory report rather than any actual misconduct on my part. They are simply telling me to go and appeal even though I have and when I did that they gave me no reason and just rejected my appeal. They arent even looking into the matter. Good Morning, I am filing a complaint do to the unjustified and unexpected ban of my account through the company Hinge, Inc. I have used this and multiple other dating apps for years without any issues. I have also been a paying customer of ********************** for almost a year now. The ban comes with no previous warning, and zero clarification on what caused the ban other than a vague terms of service area of which you violated. I am more than certain I have not violated these terms. It is frustrating to have one of your major resources for meeting people taken away over an accusation from someone else, without them even explaining to you what caused the ban. I have done so much research on this, and as anyone can see even from the complaints on your website that this company unfairly and unjustly bans account and denies appeals by the masses. There are thousands of people online stating they have been banned for no reason and that hinge simply wont respond to their appeals after instantly denying their first appeal. It really makes the consumer feel used and not cared for. I would upload proof to support my end, but I do not know what I violated as Hinge, Inc. does 0 to help you understand what caused the ban. For someone who previously had many great experiences on Hinge, it is embarrassing that such a large company bans so many people without warning or explanation of what was violated. It is well known by looking on this site that thousands of people have lost their accounts over someone spitefully reporting their account and/or doing nothing wrong at all. I have tried to email Hinge support and it is like talking to a wall and if you get a response it feels like an automated response with zero details. I am rejecting this response because: This is another automated response. They are saying they carefully reviewed it but my initial appeal was denied almost instantly. Its beyond frustrating that I cannot prove I didnt violate the terms provided. Instead its just an answering machine repeating emails back to me. I have made great connections on hinge and and hoping to get my account reinstated to continue using this app. Ive never had any issues before this.
