Hi, I was banned from hinge in September. I tried to access the app but I couldnt as the message said i was banned. I tried to appeal with hinge and I got this response, "Our team has reviewed your appeal request and confirmed that you are in violation of our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. Therefore your account will remain banned. This decision is informed and final and subsequent appeals will not be considered." I'm uncertain about the specific reasons for my removal and which community guidelines I may have unknowingly violated. It seems that the actions taken against my account did not provide an opportunity for me to defend myself or gain insights into any potential mistakes. I even tried to make a new one with my second phone number. I was told that would work but it was blocked as well. I kindly request a reconsideration of my removal, with the hope of being reinstated on the platform under my original account. I genuinely enjoyed using Hinge to connect with new people and explore meaningful connections, and I would appreciate the opportunity to continue doing so. I was always kind and never forced anything so, I cant believe anyone would report me for something. Also the appeal was done in less than 10 minutes saying no. I am rejecting this response because: This is the same response I got last time. I have thought about what could have caused this ban. The only two things came to mind. One is have a picture of me on a boat sea sick and I did have my middle finger up in it. It was meant to be a joke but I guess people could be offended by that or it could be considered crude. That being said if reinstated I will replace the picture. The only other thing was a scenario where I matched with a **** and we talked over the next couple of days and agreed to get drinks. During that time I matched with another **** and she asked about meeting up over the weekend. I had already made plans with the other **** and made up an excuse of going out of town and said lets do it another time. I did this because the second **** seemed nice and I felt like we might get along. I did not want to mess that up by saying I had another date. My goal here was not to be dishonest or hurtful. It turns out the two ****s are friends and discovered I was talking to them both. The one who I had a date with felt I was not being a good person for doing this. Again my intention was not to hurt anybody I just made an excuse to avoid offending anyone and risk losing a chance to meet a great person. I have used this app before and try to date intentionally in hopes of finding someone. I have never tried to abuse this app or hurt anyone for the purpose the app was intended for. I would just like some clarity on what rule you believe I violated. If it one of the things I mentioned above please consider the above information now having my side of the story. On December 23rd, 2024 I spent $26.62 to get the HingeX benefits, and then a day later I get a notification from Hinge saying that my account has been removed. That my account was banned for violating their Terms of Service. I submitted an appeal, and it did not go through. Because I do believe there was an error, I think that I did not break any policies of Hinge, and if I did I would like to know which ones as to not make the same alleged mistake(s) on similar apps. Hi, I made a hinge account back in june and i was immediately blocked. I bought a used phone from a guy in the building and that could have been the reason but i am actually not sure. i appealed my case and i was unblocked saying that i should put a picture of my face , which i did in the first place. Now after a few months, i am banned again randomly with no reason given. I am familiar with all the terms and conditions and i have not violated any of them. Hinge has banned my account for no good reason. I have been loyally using Hinge for years now with no problem but they banned my account for merely stating a preference on my profile. Since it is the only app I like and use to go on dates and meet people, the ban is interfering with my dating life. I have been on Hinge for years now and it is my absolute favorite dating app compared to the others because I meet more genuine people that are looking for the same things I do. My experience has been successful with Hinge and I have remained in good terms with every person I have met on the app. My profile had did not include ANY vulgarity or deragatory terms. With that being said, I whole heartedly believe my ban and the denial of my appeal was unjustified as I have not violated any terms.The only thing I did that Hinge didnt like was state my preference on my bio by saying Id prefer to go out with someone traditional who doesnt believe in the new non-binary/multiple genders culture. I did not bash or degrade anybody by saying that because I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion and Im a firm believer in the saying to each their own. It was merely a preference and there was no ill intention behind. While it did not include any vulgarity, Hinge considered it as hate speech. That was not a hate speech. I was stating a preference in the type of person Im looking for to make sure we have the same values. Which is what Hinge is suppsed to be about. I am extremely disappointed that hinge unfairly removed my account.What happened was I responded to a girl who liked a photo of me with the prompt My Simple Pleasures are...reading, live music, meaningful convos. She asked me what my favorite live music artist is. I matched with her and gave the response "*** *******". I believe I was banned because Hinge thought I was promoting a musician. I did absolutely nothing wrong except respond to a reasonable question. My account name is wenmyster Another reason i could have been banned was I talked to a girl who apparently was being fraudulent and banned that night. I was notified on hinge email that she was banned. The next morning, I was banned as well. I have never received an email regarding someone whom I was talking to getting banned. What are the chances? Hinge must have mistaken me as an additional culprit and banned me for associating with her. Either one of these scenerios demonstrates I've done nothing wrong and unfairly banned. I have been through hinge's appeal process even attaching my gov ** but they still can't see their mistake.I humbly request for you to reach out to hinge and show them their error.
