On September 23, 2024, I purchased a 3-month membership for $59.99 with Plenty of Fish (dating site). On November 17, without warning or reason, my account was banned. I emailed them on two occasions, getting one response today which read, "After review of your account and the information you provided, we have determined you have violated our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines and your account should remain banned. Therefore, your appeal is denied...This matter is closed and not subject to further appeal. I reviewed the terms of use and community guidelines and am 100% positive that I did NOTHING to violate terms or guidelines. It is laughable that I would be accused of such things, since many of the patrons of "POF" are fake profiles and scammers. Basically, they stole my money for a membership through 12/23/24 - and removed my ability to delete my profile, my personal information, AND my payment information. I fully expect that they will further steal money from my payment card on their file, once we reach 12/24/24 - given that I cannot access my account to delete my personal information from it. I want either ALL of my money back, or I want the pro-rated amount refunded of $20.00.Business Response

Plenty of Fish dating site FALSELY ADVERTISES that members, after paying a one year membership fee of $127.94 with tax - CAN CONTACT OTHER MEMBERS. I cannot do so. I must pay additional fees to contact other members. These fees were NOT MENTIONED in their advertisements. I contacted them 1 hour after I bought the one-year subscription. They REFUSED to refund me after several run-arounds with customer service. I am rejecting this response because: the business does NOT admit that their description of membership is misleading and does NOT clearly state that there are ADDITIONAL FEES associated with the very function that is most important to users of dating sites - CONTACTING OTHER MEMBERS IN A TIMELY MANNER. Nowhere does their product description state that a PREMIUM MEMBER can only contact 1 member per every *************************************************************** order to contact other members more frequently. I requested a refund LESS THAN AN HOUR AFTER I PURCHASED A YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION. I was unable to use the site for its intended purpose so why shouldn't I be refunded in full?
