Hi there,So at the start of the 2024 year, I had my account on Hinge deleted and banned. I went through the proper review process and was not given my account back. At the time, this was a hard thing to accept, as I know that I had not done anything wrong or worthy of a banned account. Nevertheless, there was nothing that I could do as the situation was out of my hands.For the next 6 months, I continued my life without the need for any online dating apps. This was until Sunday the 30/06/2024 where I decided to download Tinder. Once downloaded I set up my account using photos that I deemed acceptable and non-offensive. Some which have been used previously on other applications prior to my hinge ban, where I had no issues.After selecting my pictures, I decided to set up my prompts. I had set up prompts that I thought were acceptable. The only one where I took a risk on was titled "What is your favorite Spotify playlist" to which I replied, "City Slicker, Turned Cowboy. Now someone who was raised in the city and moved to live in a rural town within ********* this term is not an offensive one. However, 5 min later I received an email saying that my account had been banned. My account had been live for a total of 5 minutes and that was not enough time for me to make a match and message offensive information. Hence, I am confused as to why my account has been banned. My assumption is that it is in regards to the comment I made in one of their prompts. However, if this is the case then how is a joke relating to myself considered offensive? But regardless, banning someone because of a prompt would also seem like an cop-out to a lifetime ban, would it not?I understand that Hinge and Tinder are owned by the same company, but how does that mean you get banned on both accounts because you get banned from one of their services. That seems like a very monopolistic move if I am not wrong. Just really annoyed about this process, as I feel like they have not been fair??
