I signed a hardship form for the rental property to end my lease and was told by staff member ***************************** as well as ************************* that I didnt owe anything. I completed the final walk through and requested the paperwork; however was told they dont provide one. I then got served at work at my place of employment with a notice of intent to impose claim upon security deposit as well as a move out statement of the sum of $603.09. This amount was submitted to collections. When I called the rental office the first time ***** was helpful and explained that I shouldve received papers at the final walkthrough as well as a ***** number to set up a payment plan if there were any remaining balance. I didnt receive either. I called a second time, ****** told me ***** no longer worked there and told me she had nothing to do with that situation and transferred me to ********. I tired to explain to ******** who hung up on me because she didnt want to look up the account. I am a single mother, a domestic violence survivor who was in a hardship situation and needed to move in with family. That apartment community put my safety at risk because the unit next door kept getting broken into and after I reported several times to the rental office nothing improved.
