1 starWas forcibly removed from my apartment due to a major repair I was never told about, was given **** days to find a new place to live. I couldn't even get it written out as an agreement for us to not be charged with days of begging for a written notice on top of packing and moving. When we asked about another unit while repairs were done we were told " yea that's possible... actually let me speak to my supervisor as I'm going to not give you that option to be honest, you guys make it complicated and you complain too much". I've never seen such horrendous management.Review fromRyan M

I moved to an apartment managed by this company on December 31, 2022. Apollo Apartments" When I originally did the apartment walk through I saw a few dead roaches so I already knew on day 1 of move in I needed to request pest control. After move in I have discovered that the apartment is INFESTED with roaches! They are everywhere! Dead ones live ones and upon move in tons of ***** droppings in the cabinets. I have put in several requests and still to this day almost a month later no one has entered my apartment to spray. The breaker box constantly trips at random causing the entire apartment to lose electricity. Since I am a flight attendant and gone for at least 3 nights a week I lost all my groceries. I put in a maintenance request for it but since it didn't trip when the man arrived he couldn't do anything. The building has a serious electrical problem as I loose power several times a day. The unit really needs a professional electrician to come in and look at the breaker to find out why the power constantly trips off. Courtyard-the uncontrolled amount of dog p*** I have to clean up on a daily basis. The courtyard is a complete disaster. The people who come blow the leave blower for a quick second just steps right over the dog p*** and since it's on my door step I'm the one who has to pick it up because if not there are several spots Thant blend in nicely with all the trash. I don't see what the point of the ***** monthly maintenance fee is if the courtyard gets in such bad shape My next step is to contact the BBB and file a formal complaint about the power and roaches I have to live with and the property management not sending anyone to spray after 24 days of residence. I will also make a complaint to the city about the property management for not dealing with the dog p*** It's ***** law that residents are required to clean up after their animals and there is not one sign that encourages and enforces it. Cleaning up after animals is a matter of PUBLIC HEALTH.Indio Management

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I have been a resident at The BX5 since November 2021. The management is horrible. They never answer the phone or call you back for starters. The only way to hear back from them is if you go up to the office. They lied during my tour. I know that the area is not the safest so I made sure to ask if they had cameras. They told me yes. I then ended up having my catalytic converter stolen. I called security and asked if they had footage and if I could have it since the police requested it. They said they didn't know if it was working. I also have an **** Legally, you are not allowed to charge a tenant for an **** They posted a $300 balance on my account once my application was approved without explaining what it was. I assumed it was the deposit and paid it. Later on I was informed that it was a pet fee and that I just shouldn't have paid it. I wasn't upset and decided it was no big deal as long as they credit it on the account for the next months rent. Months later, after multiple calls with no answer, and plenty of visits to the office, I was informed that their manager said not to refund or credit the money because it had been too long. They eventually agreed to refund after threats of suing because that is against the law. I rented with my brother. I ended up asking him to leave and we went to the office and removed him from the lease. I informed management that it was a safety issue and he had been physical with me. They told me they took him off. We have now tried three times because they somehow keep misplacing the paperwork and blame me for not calling the police when the incident occurred. He is still on the lease but I have given up trying as I am moving in less than a week and he is unaware that he is still on it. The valet trash *****.I wouldn't mind except for the fact that they took away the dumpsters and now we are unable to throw away our own trash. You have to pay for visitor parking.Indio Management

Dear ******* *********,
Thank you for your information. I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. Your response will be in the order of your concerns:
First, the phones are not priority when the team is with customers. We answer when we are available. Unfortunately it is a very busy office and is why we have stated in written communication multiple times that to better serve you text and/or email is preferred (per Resident Update).
Second, we have cameras, if camera footage is needed we would need law enforcement to request it. We do not release footage to residents, on most occasions where it is needed by police/detectives they have come to the office to review with management as we always comply with law enforcement.
Third, if you have an ESA and have provided proper documentation we would not charge you, if there was an error the credit would take place immediately. If you have not received this credit please reach out to the Resident Services 1 Office at The Bentley to see what is needed, timing is not an issue at all. We will always comply with Federal and State laws.
Forth, we cannot remove someone from the lease without proper documentation and signatures from both parties. We also have to make sure that if you are staying on lease alone that you qualify for the apartment on your own. It is not a simple task and we must use legal forms where a notary may be required if persons are not all present.
Fifth, valet trash was put in place to improve the aesthetic appearance of the community to avoid trash bins throughout. You are able to throw out your own trash and have disclosed multiple times via mass messages of where the compactors are located. We also provide large furniture dumpsters for your use as well. If you need those locations again please reach out to the Resident Services Office or pull up the last Resident Update that was sent out on 11/22/2022.
Sixth, paid visitor parking is required now because we are fully occupied and we have 2,000 registered guest vehicles. This has caused a major parking problem for our residents. We do hope this will deter this massive number of guests or add people to leases if they are in fact living on property. As explained our number one priority is our residents and their ability to park on property by their apartment.
If you have any other concerns or questions we are happy to discuss with you. Please email ************************ or ***************************.
Sincerely,

I am having a hard time retrieving my $400 deposit back from the apartment complex ********** Apartments. I spoke with the property manager and due to me asking relevant questions in regards to my lease she became upset and decided not to give me the apartment. Due to this decision I am now homeless.Indio Management

Thank you for your review. We strive very hard to satisfy all residents and prospective residents but I believe there is a little misunderstanding due to frustrations. I believe you chose to not reside at The Celine as on move in day, November 1, you did not have the rent monies available. Your deposit monies will be returned to you however, this can take up to 30 days to be postmarked. We will also need a forwarding address to mail this to.

***. I wish I would've seen these reviews FIRST!!! But let me warn those who are THINKING about leasing a unit with Indio Management. When you submit your application, make sure you READ, READ, READ! I paid the application fee. Then, I get the "Welcome Letter". And of course I only read PART OF IT. I read the part where it says, you have 24 hours to submit your Admin fee and deposit. So I do. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! A few days later, A larger unit becomes available and I ask to be changed to that unit. They said, I have to pay the $200 transfer fee. Really? Seriously? They're response is, "It's in the Welcome Letter". ***. AND!!!!! If I don't pay the transfer fee I can either, lease the smaller unit or forfeit my deposit and look elsewhere. ***. So, I paid the transfer fee! $650 out of pocket for all this nonsense! ****** learned People! Read the thing! ***. (More to come later). ***.

What a FIASCO!!! Where do I begin? I didn't move in!! The apartment was NOT as described per the website. MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE **** BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING!!! I STILL HAVEN'T RECOVERED ANY MONIES FROM THEM!!! It doesn't take a rocket science to write a check and reimburse someone. And I'm not even getting half of what I spent. They said, "because they held the unit off the market for me, they can only do a partial refund." Right!! Two weeks later it's no longer on the market! This apartment was in the ************* Area people!! I thought COUTURE!! Boy was I wrong! You have these ***************? I'd be embarrassed to show these apartments!!! No central A/C, only window units. No dishwasher, no garbage disposal, no vent hood in the kitchen above the stove, not enough parking, not enough washer and dryers in the apartment complex and no w/d hookups, and so on and so fourth!!! ** HP people!!! Really??? That's my update! I'll let you know when I get SOME of my money back.Review fromNashira M

I had the worst experience with this property management company by way of Prime at Lake Highlands apartments. I was moving from Florida. I didn't get to see the unit so I was going off of internet photos. I caught a flight to clean before the road trip and I was appalled at what I saw in the community and in the apartment. Outside there's cats and trash everywhere, hardly anywhere to park. Inside the bathtub wasn't finished, the ceiling had multiple water stains and the kitchen and bathroom windows were cracked, amongst other things. I sent about 8-10 maintenance requests and the property manager Diana called me the day after and said they were only fixing the bathtub and one of the cracked windows. I also couldn't be in the unit for 2-3 days so that they can refinish the tub that should have been finished before they even attempted to release the apartment. Beyond dissatisfied with that answer, I started backing out of the lease. It had been about a week since I signed and I didn't start to move in yet. There was no way I saw myself living there and starting off by telling me what they wouldn't fix including cracked windows was a big deal for me. I went above Diana to an Indio property manager to negotiate my options and that person hardly helpful until I said I refuse to stay there and she needs to tell me what I need to do to get out. I came to an agreement with that lady, only for Diana to call me twice saying I owed them more money, different amounts each time. After I explained that I don't owe anything according to her boss, she stopped calling me. Imagine if I believed her and paid! She was really trying to swindle me, after I spent a bunch of money on an apartment that I wasn't moving into and that money I was not getting back. It was the most ridiculous experience I've ever had trying to move into a place and if I could put negative stars I would cause this place isn't ever worth 1. I highly suggest everyone thinking twice before signing a lease here.Indio Management

To Whom it May Concern,
We in good faith leased an apartment to Ms. McCall held it for 2 weeks as it was ready for immediate move in. During this time right before we had a storm and a screen and a light fell. We also were made aware of the window and scheduled a replacement. All lease provisions were adhered to in her decision to not accept the apartment after taking possession. We gave her the option to vacate immediately and applied her remaining rent towards the relet fee in our contract due to her concerns of the apartment and neighborhood. We have documentation where she agreed to all the terms.
Sincerely,

We are truly disappointed to learn about your impression of our company. We want all our residents to experience the comfort and convenience of living in their homes. We're sorry to hear that you've encountered some issues, we can assure you that we're working diligently to ensure your concerns are resolved in a timely manner. We have been having issues with the US Postal service boxes, but should have that resolved this week. All of your payments have been made online, so we would welcome more information on your mishandling of funds comment. Our property manager should be getting in contact with you very soon. We look forward to turning your experience around!
