Thank you for advising HomeVestors of America,Inc. ("HVA") to Mr. ****** concerns.
This is the first time HVA has been informed of Mr. ****** frustration with our franchisees' direct mail letters and purported contacts. HVA carefully considers any complaint it receives with respect to its independently owned and operated franchisees. HVA, as a national franchise system, requires its franchisees to operate their independent businesses not only in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, but also certain national operating standards.
To help resolve this complaint, we searched our database for contacts with **************. His name, address, and telephone number are not in our company database. This means he is not a recorded contact for any of our franchisees. Nonetheless, we have instructed the local ******************* to not contact him.
In addition, we have taken the necessary steps to have the mail center remove Mr. ****** address from its mailing list and will make every effort to help ensure that future letters are not mailed to him. However, should our franchisees in this specific ******************* have a monthly direct mail campaign currently in process and if his address is among those addresses about to receive another mailing, he may receive an additional letter. In the event that he does, please keep in mind that this is not a refusal on their part to recognize his request to be removed from our mailing list but merely a timing issue.
HVA, as a franchise system, has a strong national image and professional reputation which it is careful to maintain and protect. Our independently owned and operated franchises have purchased more than ******* houses since 1996 and strive to help improve their communities one house at a time.Initial Complaint

I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution.
I accept the resolution, but I don't understand that they couldn't find me in the system as I currently have 14 post cards from them. I did call one time and the only option was to leave a voicemail message. The recording stated to be taken off of the mailing list to leave my name, address and phone number. If there was anything else left on the voicemail, it would be deleted.

I am receiving multiple post cards and other mailings from this company for a woman by the name of ******* at my address. The postcards say they are interested in buying her house which they have at a different address. I have no idea who this woman is and I am a licensed *********** Broker so, if I ever needed my home sold at this address I would handle it myself. I called the number on the card more then once and explained that they are sending mail to my home for an unknown person and to stop. I was told that they will submit a request and send a message for it to stop but it has not! I then drove to the address on the card and actually spoke to the woman ******** son who has informed me that this company has been harassing his mother not only by mail, calls, texts and by sending people to the property and that it is not for sale and never was. I made a copy of the postcards and gave them to him and we exchanged information to keep in touch. After researching this further, I am appalled to see the amount of people that this company is harassing more importantly seniors. If this company sends me or this woman ******* or bothers either of us one more time not only will I personally file a report with the ************************* I will also have my attorney wife reach out to the hundreds of other people complaining of the same thing and file a class action lawsuit against this company and its franchises responsible for this and if they think I wont then just try me. I will also make sure that this is reported to the News Stations, posted on social media and I will put my own mailing out utilizing my direct marketing company warning others of this. Do NOT reply to this with your generic response as you appear to be doing to all these complaints because I am not interested in your BS. You are being told here and now for the LAST TIME to knock it off and DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN by any means aside from this complaint or it will be considered harassment.Customer Answer

Instead now they are TEXTING ME TO SELL MY HOUSE! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY? I will wait to see the conclusion of what happens with this BBB matter, but this is going to be reported. THIS IS PURE HARASSMENT AND THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO REACH SOMOEONE AT MY ADDRESS WE NEVER HEARD OF. THEY SHOULD BE REGULATED BY THE REAL ESTATE COMISSION OF THE ****************/.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: This is a generic response that is replied to in just about every BBB complaint that I see from this company. I do not care how long you have been in business, how well of a company you think you are, how many franchisees you have or anything else for that matter elated to your so-called business. I care about and ONLY care about not receiving these incorrect mailers and your business sending things to my address for another person as stated in my original complaint. Stop trying to "brush this off" with a generic response and try to pass the blame to the local franchise. Bottom line, we did not ask for this, do not want this, advised you that you are mailing things to us for the wrong party, and this is causing a problem and must stop. If it happens again, it will be considered a form of harassment. If there is a new mailer then it's up to the business to stop it if you know you are sending things to the incorrect party/address not for the individual to just deal with it and hope it don't happen again, -RegardsCustomer Answer
