    I ate at a Corner Bakery at the corner of ***** and ********** in ******* on February 25, 2025, We both ordered a cup of soup and a chopped salad and a regular soft drink. I put my credit card on the screen to pay, and then removed it. We grabbed our cups from the cashier and then went to a table to wait for our food to be picked up. Twenty minutes passed and I went back up to the counter to ask about the status of our food, and I was told that they didn't have our order because for whatever reason the transaction didn't go through. However, i showed her my phone that the transaction did go through. She said I would have to go through the transaction again which I did, and now I had to charges on my credit card from the corner bakery. She said don't worry about it that the first transaction would fall off my credit card. As of March 3rd, it has not. I called customer service for the ********************************************* with a number they provide on their website but the recording said it is not a working number. So what's next?

    My family and I went out to dinner last night at the Crner Bakery in *************, **********. When one of the cashiers brought our meal to the table, I let her know that one of my orders was incorrect. She gently told me not to worry and that she would notify the cooks and have it remake . When the cook was informed he became agitated and began yelling. I felt horrible, but I wasn't going to eat something I didn't enjoy. I waited 25 minutes for my pasta; by the time I got it, my entire family had finished their meal. I knew the cook was unhappy, but he took his time expressing it. Its not the first time it happens.

    I placed a catering order for a very important meeting and placed the order to be delivered at 11:30 a.m. (the meeting was starting at 12). I called the restaurant at 11:35 a.m. to see if the delivery driver would be calling me when they were close so I could meet them outside. The employee who answered my call seemed to be shocked that I had placed catering order and placed me on hold. The employee came back on the line and said the order was on the way. I waited another 10 minutes and called back and a different employee told me the order was picked up and on the way. I called back a few minutes later and asked that they contact the delivery driver to see where they were at. It was now 11:55 and my meeting was starting at 12:00. I was told by this employee that they would call the driver and call me back. I never received a call back. I called again to see where the food was and the store stopped answering the phone. I called a few more times and also from a different number to no avail. It was now 12:15, the meeting was underway and I desperately needed to get lunch for the attendees. I ended up placing another order for food from a different restaurant costing me another $250. The Corner Bakery food finally arrived at 12:20 almost an hour late and after I placed another food order from a different restaurant. I have tried numerous times to reach a manager to speak about what happened and still haven't been able to get someone to answer the phone. This happened at Store Code 198 Westwood.

    Store #*** (*******, **)Manager issue (rude, angry, hostile)Manager name: **** M Restaurant issue: dirty tables, no paper towels in restroom Date: 9/15 Time: 6:40pm PT Receipt total: $37.89 Manager became rude & angry when asking for salad dressing for pick 2 side salad AND refused to give salad dressing without charge. Upon ordering, employee did not ask what dressing we preferred. When order came out, salad had (on side) and oil based dressing (not our preference). Husband walked to counter asking for a small ranch and Rubi yelled from kitchen there was a charge for extra. Trying to explain, we want to change dressing she would not listen and kept to her point, theres a charge but she never came out of kitchen to speak to him, just yelling from kitchen. When he came back with no ranch, he explained the situation - annoyed. I assumed she would have an employee bring a small ranch but that never happened. We finished our food (he didnt eat the salad as he didnt like the dressing provided). I then went to get an iced tea refill and nicely asked, can you please explain to me why my husband could not get ranch? Immediately in agressive and angry tone she starts. Theres a charge for salad dressing. I tried to explain how I was surprised she refused a customer a small side of dressing for their meal and I could not believe she didnt send one to our table. She was still angry and now unprofessional. She said she was done with me after I noticed she was the manager and stated she has poor leadership skills and needed manager training. I then asked for a copy of my receipt and she refused, saying she was done with me. I made a comment, so to be clear, youre refusing to give me a receipt? She said you should have got it when you ordered. I explained, I didnt think Id have a problem and I didnt need until now. She re-printed a receipt (not mine) and said shes done. Please call me ************. Lost a customer over $ .69!

    Hello, I'm contacting you guys because I recently made an order a couple days ago with the corner bakery in *********************** . Short pump. ******** va . And received the complete wrong order on the date of july29, 2024 I contacted them right away to inform them about the issue and requested a full refund and was told I would have to wait because they were "waiting for it to be reviewed " I called everyday to keep an update on it and kept getting put off then called today and finally got an answer and was told I could not receive my refund . And to call back and talk to the other manager. Just getting the run around . The full order amount was $37.12 which is much needed.. I have been waiting this long just to be told I can't get a refund for items I paid my money for and received the incorrect order . Please get back to me asap I would really appreciate it .

    location: ************************************************************************ ******, the newest manager, is the rudest person I've ever encountered in the service industry. She not only yelled at and berated employees but was also extremely rude to customers. I felt especially sorry for the young man at the cashier station whom she humiliated in front of everyone. It was painful to watch.When I asked another employee for the manager's name, they replied, "you can ask her yourself." Thats when ****** came over to my table, invaded my personal space, and grabbed the receipt from my table. Without a word of apology or explanation, she wrote her name on it and thrust it back at me. Her behavior was beyond unprofessional; it was downright hostile and aggressive.I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years because I work right down the street. This place has been my go-to for meals during work hours, but after this experience, I will never return as long as she is in charge. She humiliated me, other customers, and the employees. It was clear that everyone in the store was uncomfortable and upset by her actions.I'm so upset and frustrated. Her behavior was rude, mean, and absolutely disgusting. I have never met anyone in the service industry who was so unprofessional. It makes me fear that if I return, she might do something unsanitary to the food or even something violent. This place cannot be a healthy work environment with someone like her in charge.Someone needs to step in and protect the employees from her abusive behavior. Her presence makes the entire atmosphere toxic. I cant believe how she treated me and everyone else in the store. I am deeply disappointed and upset that a place I frequented for over a decade has come to this. My colleagues, who also used to dine here regularly, have all decided to stop coming as well. I feel compelled to warn others: avoid this place as long as ****** is the manager. It is such a shame.

    This complaint is about a repeatedly discourteous manager at the Bethesda Corner Bakery location, who repeatedly humiliates customers. We don't know the name of the manager, but he was on duty when the store opened on May 9, 2023. He's on duty often when we've been there in the last few months. He owes an apology to a lot of people! Best would be to re-train him and place him in some store away from this area, since a lot of people will not go to this store is he's there.

    Someone from this company's catering department named Den T****** ********************************** has started sending me emails at my work address trying to drum up catering business. The copy of these emails targets retail store managers at malls and suggests they use Corner Bakery to cater meals for their "team" on Black Friday weekend. Note that I am a college professor (with a .edu email address). These emails are coming from an address at Corner Bakery's domain, and they do not contain unsubscribe links. The emails do invite me to reply back directly (for the purpose of accepting their offer of catering for my non-existent employees), and I have availed myself of this to indicate that I did not which to receive these emails. Instead of responding or removing me from their contact list, I instead am continuing to receive emails with this same irrelevant offer. I have tried to contact Corner Bakery via three different avenues about this, and I have received no response. It is worth noting here that this employee's conduct is illegal (per the 2003 CAN-SPAM act - and I have separately reported the matter to the FTC), and deeply unethical. I must presume that this person got my work email address by scraping it from my college's website (which has the unfortunate but common practice of listing all faculty email addresses where it is susceptible to such unscrupulousness), then proceeded to use it for unsolicited marketing messages which were not even relevant to the campaign implied in the emails themselves. I reiterate that a direct request that this cease has been ignored. I hope that the BBB is better at eliciting a response from this company.

    On 10/24th I placed an order online for food to pickup. Once I completed the transaction, I saw I accidentally ordered from the wrong location. I immediately called the restaurant to cancel my order. No food was ever made and they told me they would cancel it and my credit card would be refunded and three business days. It's has now been 7 business days and they will not help me with my refund of $14.67 for food that was never made. They took my money and won't help me. I have used their online "contact us" form 4 times now, with NO response from anyone. When I call the restaurant they refuse to help me and tell me to contact corporate. It's unethical and bad business to take a customers money, and offer no sort of recourse. No food was made or wasted. But my money was taken.

    - DATE OF TRANSACTION: 10-27-2022 - ORDER NO.: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX - ORDERED FROM: *********************************** - LOCATION ORDERED FROM: ***************** - XXX-XXX-XXXX - AMOUNT PAID: 24.54 - NATURE OF DISPUTE: Missing items from the order (2 cinnamon crumb muffins) The Corner Baker app states to call the location with any issues of an order. I called the ***************** location twice. The first time I was hung up on when I told them a delivery order was missing items. The second time I talked with someone who said that their location does not handle online orders so it's not their fault and that they don't know what to tell me. I asked if they could deliver the 2 missing muffins and she said that they don't deliver the orders or even handle online orders. She said to ask for a refund in the app even though the app says to contact the location directly. When I asked how to get a refund that way, she said 'hold please' and after being on hold for over 20 minutes I hung up because clearly that's she was hoping for me to do. This is unacceptable. How can a business like Corner Bakery not provide a feasible resolution? I have tried calling the 800 number published on Corner Bakery's Facebook and the 972 number for corporate - none of the calls go through and appear to be out of service. On Corner Bakery's website it states, "Corner Bakery is here to brighten your day with kitchen-crafted, artisan-inspired food, made by real cooks, for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Enjoy all your favorites safely delivered right to your door." This was clearly not what happened for me this time. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund of the order of 24.54 for the time and inconvenience that I have spent unsuccessfully trying to reach a helpful Corner Bakery employee.
