    Frontier Communications is filled with dishonest people and thieves. If you have Autopay, cancel it, especially if you are or have cancelled your service.I was a satisfied Frontier customer, no more. I wouldnt have their service if they offered it for free. I cancelled my service with them in September. Was told I needed to return my equipment, pay a $50 equipment return fee. I would have continued service with them had they been in the area I moved to, I am glad they are not. I did everything they required me to do, well within the time they set, got my shipping label with tracking number, the fee was deducted from my checking account in October. I thought I was finished with Frontier. Was I wrong. On December 27th, I got a notice they was taking $322.50 from my account due to unreturned equipment. I called and was told by their *** she found the equipment returned and it would stop the charge. The next day Frontier stole my money,I have since spoken with no less than 6 people, all saying they saw the equipment returned with the tracking numberI provided. The last person told me I would have my money back in my account on January 7th and he would call me that morning to confirm. Neither one happened. As of January 14th, I am still waiting on a call and my money. This has been a nightmare. No one cares.

    My experience with Frontier was bad from the start. Laughably, they installed the fiber on the wrong house. When I noticed my installation ticket had been marked complete on their app, I immediately reported that the ticket was closed in error (no technician had been to my house, no fiber lines had been installed and there was no router). Two days later, Frontier billed for services from the date the installation was supposed to have taken place. I finally have someone coming to the house to verify that the fiber was not installed (they wouldn't take my word for it!!) but it has taken endless chats with bots to get the appointment scheduled. In the meantime, the ticket still says complete and someone else is enjoying high speed internet on my dime!

    Been dealing with no internet since last week, spent a better part of last week working through Frontier, they noted they had an outage and would work on. Outage got fixed but even after resetting ONT and Eero for the required times (now at least 10 times). Called them on Friday, they had me do the same process plus some resetting on their end and still no fix, so we got a tech appointment for Monday but then they proceeded to mark locally as out outage so once they resolved the outage it automatically closed my tech appointment. Over the weekend couldnt get ahold of someone to check on the tech appointment, only their chat (that sucks) trying to upsell a $10/mo tech support option. Called them this AM only for the person on the phone to try and upsell me on the $20/mo upgrade to 2gig (we honestly dont need it, the internet at a gig was fine) then proceeded to threaten that by not adding that they are going to bill us $150 for a tech to come out. Simply told them no, Ive followed all the reset steps and everything I can do on my side, this is on them and they cant just bill me, to which she agreed and that the tech will let me know if there will be any charges if its due to something on my side and not frontiers. Finally got rescheduled for later this week and before hanging up, again tried to have me add another $10/mo service to fix dead zones in my house (again, not a problem and wasnt a problem I already have two privately owned Eeros running a mesh network). I know its not the tech support persons fault but how broken and desperate is Frontiers script to try and sell 3 different up charges when they arent even currently providing the service I pay for?

    We recently switched from Frontier Communications for our internet service to a company supplying fiber optic internet. We were with Frontier for almost 10 years. It was a very tumultuous relationship. For the first few years, we struggled to get them to provide us with internet speeds sufficient for streaming. 0.5 mb down and 0.03 mb up were what we were dealing with. Not to mention numerous outages. We filed 2 complaints: the 1st with the *** 1 and the 2nd with both h the *** and the BBB. That finally got their attention. New modem and 5 mb down.December 16, 2024, we finally got connected to a fiber internet service, achieving speeds of almost 100 mb down for nearly $30 less per month. I called and cancelled our service with Frontier Communications on December 16 but was told we would be charged a $50 restocking fee for the modem, which we were required to return. I was not happy but at least I had much better service at much lower cost.Then I received the last bill from Frontier, which was for the entire month of December ($85). When I called to complain of being charged for services not received (half month), I was told they do not prorate internet service. I then told the person that I had been a customer for the past ten years and I did not appreciate being charged $50 for a restocking fee. That person apologized and said though they could do nothing about the month charge for internet, he would have the restocking fee removed.A week later I was notified of yet another charge from Frontier for the $50 restocking fee. When I called to tell the person that the previous person removed it, I was informed that he had no authority to do so. I am writing you to say that Frontier is not only unreliable, either in internet service but also in customer service; telling customers one thing and not delivering on what they've supposedly committed to. In my mind they are no better than scam artists promising much but delivering little.

    We were customers for three and half years. We had auto pay for that whole period so we never missed a payment. Our bill was *****/month for just internet. We don't stream much at all as we are basic TV watchers and we don't work from home so decided to switch to another company for *****/month. We called frontier and they supposedly credited our account and we were disconnected on Sept 17, 2024. In Oct, we received a noted of a balance of $65. I called and they said it's restocking fee. For what??? the equipment is so old and we were told it won't be used at all. So I disputed the charge and was told they will review. Next thing I know, we received a collection letter on Nov 6 stating the issue now is in the hands of a collection agency. When I called frustrated and said let me pay the amount, they said I have to pay the collection agency direct. What????? we were sent to a collection agency less than 45 days out??? after being a customer for years???? wow. Is that a way to say never ever will I ever sign up with Frontier again??? Their customer service is overseas and all they repeat is thanking me for holding and thanking me for patiently waiting while they look into the issue, and thank me for this but can't explain anything about the account.

    ******** customer service. The service always goes out, cannot get anyone on the phone. Create tickets to have someone come out, either the tech or company lies and says theyve fixed it. It is never fixed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

    I'm paying more for their 20mbps while other companies are providing 500mbps. Installation by "a professional" looks like a halloween decoration because it's a nightmare of tangled wires.

    Frontier has horrible service! Started out paying $24.99 (was supposed to be for one year), but the bill increased to $29.99 months before then. We tried rectifing out concerns by calling customer service several times but go no where. When we cancelled our service the had no records of the times we called, or of the people who came to the house to pull wires etc. We received a bill one month later when it was clearly stated they bill in advance and charged a restocking fee for materials we paid for monthly. Their service isn't even worth one star.

    Received a text from collection agency on someone else's account. I've never had account with them. My only connection is my cousin's frontier box that I returned to frontier for her. I have never used their service.

    The reliability is significantly less than competitors. It's customer service is out sourced people who read scripts and can't actually assist you. The technician are decent folks who work hard.
