Iteach has been a horrible experience for me. Assignments take forever to be graded, feedback takes even longer. Any questions i've had, i've had to send through email and they take forever to answer. Iteach is only interested in taking your money. They require you to finish your coursework within 4 months of starting your first year of teaching. After the 4 months, they charge you $300 to continue doing your course. They charge you another $300 if you don't finish after another three months. All they care about is getting your money. I would advise everybody to stay away from ******.

Dear Mr. ********* sorry to hear that your experience with iteach has not met your expectations. We strive to provide every candidate with timely support and quality service, and I regret that youve felt otherwise. After reviewing your course progression, I did not find that assignment grading or instructional feedback exceeded a 48-hour turnaround time. We do strive for a 24 hour response but there are times that quick turnaround can not be meet (weekend, holidays). While I understand the desire for immediate responses, our instructors take care to provide thoughtful and thorough feedback, which requires some time.Regarding the program timeline: all instructional coursework must be completed within four months of being hired as a teacher. This requirement is in place to ensure you're well-prepared and equipped with the foundational knowledge necessary to be effective in the classroom. You enrolled with iteachTEXAS in October 2023 and completed your initial training in May 2024. Now that youve secured a teaching position for Fall 2024, it is important that the remaining coursework is completed as soon as possible. The programs timeline expectations and renewal fees are clearly communicated prior to enrollment and reiterated in your monthly emails. These policies are designed to help you stay on track toward certification and success in your teaching **********'re close to the finish line, and I encourage you to complete the final components of your training and schedule your PPR exam. We're here to support you every step of the way.

As of today, I have four assignments that were submitted on April 7th and 8th, which remain ungraded. This clearly exceeds the 48-hour grading window previously communicated. Delays like this create unnecessary obstacles and hinder timely progress.Additionally, I must address the four-month window imposed for completing all coursework. To be clear, this deadline is not a legal requirement but rather a policy implemented at your discretion. State guidelines provide a full year to complete both coursework and testing for any alternative certification program. Imposing a significantly shorter timelineespecially one that aligns with the most demanding period of a new teachers careerappears less like a support structure and more like a strategy to capitalize on students' limited bandwidth and their **********'s difficult to view the associated feesup to $1,500 in penalties on top of the $4,000 base tuitionas anything other than punitive. These charges disproportionately affect individuals who are already balancing the challenges of their first year in the classroom and financial instability. If the data were reviewed, I suspect it would show that the majority of your participants are forced to pay these additional fees simply to complete a program they were legally allotted a full year to ********* a minimum, these fees should be disclosed transparently and factored into the original tuition cost. As it stands, the current policy not only lacks empathy for the realities your candidates face, but it also borders on exploitative.I hope you will reconsider these practices and respond accordingly. Your studentsand future educatorsdeserve better.

This is a terrible program. I was failed multiple times on an assignment because I said I was teaching middle school, not specifically 7th grade. Including the grade you were teaching wasnt even in the instructions! There are many things that they will fail you for that arent in the instructions or the rubric. And each time you fail, you have to wait 24 hours to resubmit. Not to mention, you wait almost a week for your assignments to be graded so you can move on in the course. A course that shouldve taken me about 5 hours to complete has now taken me weeks. And I have lost a paycheck because of it. All that to say, if you have the time to wait and waste, the program is fine. But if you already have a job lined up, this is a TERRIBLE program for you. I dont mean this in the way its going to sound. But I graduated university at the highest in my class. I know how to follow instructions. I know how to follow rubrics. Even after meticulously doing everything in the instructions, Im still failing assignments, not just getting a few points taken offthat tells me theres an issue with the program. Something thats being miscommunicated. And there is no avenue in which I can give them this feedback, at least none that Im aware of, which is why Im posting this ******* is a terrible program. A waste of time. And a really big waste of money. I wish I had gone with another program.

My iTeach journey: I completed all of the modules 10 years ago to receive my SOE. I was then hired by a public charter school before paying my balance in full. I did not pay my remaining balance, as the school at which I was hired was allowed to hire teachers at their discretion due to the high performance of its students on state assessments. I was hired, and was able to complete 10 years of teaching within this Title 1 ************** without a Standard Certificate. I even earned a "Master Teacher Designation" from my state agency after my ninth year at this school based on teacher and student performance and observations. I will say this: iTeach did absolutely NOTHING to prepare me for what an actual classroom was like 10 years ago. Additionally, there were some open-ended questions within the iTeach modules that were culturally insensitive. It was racism cloaked as "differentiation". I have re-enrolled in the program, (dancing with the devil that I know), hoping to achieve my standard certificate. After 10 years of real classroom experience, I can confidently say the iTeach program still does absolutely nothing to prepare teachers for what is to come. Furthermore, the feedback I have received from my instructor on my recent submissions (as a tenured teacher currently within the program), is out of touch and condescending. This program is a money grab at best. All the other adjectives I have for it must remain in my head, as my mother says.

***********,I understand that obtaining your certification has been a long and frustrating journey. Despite this, your dedication to your role as an educator is commendable. I hope the training you receive through iteachTEXAS has benefited you and the students you serve. I want to acknowledge your past efforts. You originally applied in 2014 and completed coursework then (July 2014 - December 2014). Had we been notified of your hire in 2014, we could have completed observations and mentoring to allow for your initial certification. With your content test passed, we could have completed your two semesters of observation, and your initial certification could have been provided in 2015. However, your file was closed after years of inactivity, thus having to start again and complete new coursework that aligns with current state standards. We can not use coursework from 10 years ago as your training must meet current state requirements. During your years with iteachTEXAS, you paid $110 ($10 application fee and $100 enrollment fee) for all training you completed in 2014. As of today, you are in the 2nd instructional course, and I am confident that you will see vast improvements to the training and preparation as you progress through the new curriculum. I believe in your ability to adapt to the new requirements and succeed in obtaining your EC-12 ***************** certification. It may be too soon to cast judgment, as you have just begun, but I believe in the value of our new curriculum. Additionally, in 2014, you were seeking your 8-12 English, Language Arts, and Reading certification; I understand you are looking to teach a new content area of EC-12 *****************. Thus far, you have only paid $99 in your new enrollment. We are not a "money grab" as we allow you to obtain most services with a minimum financial obligation. You have received training, preparation, testing, and support for $209.00.Not having informed iteachTEXAS of your hire in 2014 certainly delayed the certification process. Now, seeking a new certification in EC-12 *****************, there will be new requirements, but I can assure you that our curriculum is the best in the statewe are nationally recognized and approved at various colleges for graduate-level credit. ***********, I want to reassure you that I am here to support you and ensure your success through iteachTEXAS. I am more than happy to schedule a call or a meeting to discuss any concerns you may have. Please remember that you are not alone in this journey, and we are here to provide the necessary support and guidance.*********************

Filed for bankruptcy in August of 2022, this organization was notified of the filing and had the opportunity to declare what was owed and object to my filing to continue to receive payment. However, they did not respond and a year later demanded to speak with my legal after already declining to respond to the initial order. I have now been blocked from their platform while they are making this demand and they are refusing to provide any reports related to my progress.

This program is TERRIBLE I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND.They are overpriced, have so many hidden fees and make it nearly impossible for you to be certified. They are not accommodating. This program is a complete SCAM !!! I regret signing up for this program.

****************,I am sorry to hear of your experience. As we have been communicating over the past few days, I have been trying to help provide you with a pathway to success. I know much of your frustration is centered around the program fees. We clearly outline all fees, and these are acknowledged before any money is exchanged. In your case, when you have missed multiple scheduled monthly payments, it does put your account in a deficit. We have not charged any late fees, but you are in jeopardy of having your account sent to collections for lack of payment - this is not our desire, but we have provided services to you.I reviewed your file and saw that we worked with you and your district to allow employment to begin the school year. We have tried to accommodate all requests, but we can not waive fees.Moving forward, you need to complete coursework ( you have not submitted any coursework since June 2023), take your PPR test and reconcile your balance. You are close to completion, and I want you to be fully certified by June 1.

**********,As part of our admission requirements, an applicant must participate in screening instruments to determine if the applicant's knowledge, experience, skills, and aptitude are appropriate for the certification sought. iteachTEXAS does have an introductory quiz and disposition assessment. Multiple attempts are provided to applicants (I show you were provided 6 attempts) to pass the various screening instruments. We have found over the past 20 years of offering certification, it is imperative that the *** and potential candidate be a good match. These instruments are also used as a gauge for online success, and based on your results, it is our recommendation that you are better suited for an in-person certification program. We can not guarantee admission into the program. We do have admission standards that are applied consistently and fairly across all applicants.

Lets begin in the beginning. My wife ahs called and emailed over 10 tens to cancel since we moved to a State and she got her certification. With no response whatsoever. I get on their chat and told them we needed a supervisor and the unprofessional woman ended the chat when I asked for a supervisor. Then they call my wife saying we harassed them just because I called for a supervisor? Are you kidding me? Such soft people working there. Just cancel our service, that is all we are ASKING.

I started with ****** ***** in March 2020. I went through several of the classes, just to realize that they would not allow me to specialize in Special *** The only way to specialize in Special ** is if your college major was Special ***. (and in that case, I wouldn't need their program). So they base what you will teach based off your college major. And mine being Child and Family Studies (the closest major to education), they made me specialize in just that- upper school familial studies, which is not at ALL what I was looking to teach. When emailing at the time, I only received automated emails or emails that never answered my questions. I became so frustrated to the point where I quit classes and I decided against teaching- since there was no way for me to teach what I wanted. To this day, December 1, 2022, I am STILL paying for ****** each month and I still have $1000 to pay, even though I have not been studying for over a year. I was very excited to become a teacher, just for this program to let me down and not allow me to pursue my dreams. I have been very disappointed with ****** *****, and I have lost a LOT of money. I will continue to lose a LOT of money due to their stipulations of money being non-refundable and un-cancellable.

This review is long overdue. I am now a Realtor- I found a job I love, but deep down I wish I was able to teach. This program showed they did not want their own students to succeed, and I refuse to be a part of that. Please do better, ******. My only request at this point is PLEASE allow me to cancel- I am struggling to make ends meet currently and I have been in your debt for years.

    Ms *******
I apologize for any confusion or frustration you have experienced throughout your participation in ITeachTEXAS.

According to program records, you applied for on iteachTEXAS on March 4, 2020. We completed your admission evaluation on March 7, 2020. You met admissions requirements for iteachTEXAS for Human Development and Family Studies based upon academic degree.

I do show an email from our admission director on 3/9/2020 related to your content area (see below).
*****, 8-12 Human Development was identified based on your college hours and your degree. The Admission's Department for iteachTEXAS reviewed your official transcripts based on state rule. We can only identify *one* content area for admissions. If you hold a degree in a specific content area in which our program offers certification, this certification area will be identified before any other content areas. The state of Texas has increased the accountability requirements for teachers and preparation programs based on one's testing. This is why our program felt that you would do better in an area your college hours prepared you for.

If you want a specific content area identified for admissions outside of what was selected based on your transcript evaluation, you have the opportunity to take and pass the TxPACT *prior* to enrollment in that content area. If you are successful on the TXPACT in your content area of interest, iteach will identify this area for enrollment. Prior to enrollment your testing history which includes all attempts failed and passed will be reviewed for admissions. We encourage you to use test prep prior to attempting the TxPACT.

The TX PACT for EC-12 Special Education is test 700, Essential Academic Skills
    *************************************************************** *******

Once you pass this test, please email your results to this email address so that I can update your certification area for admissions. This must be completed prior to enrollment in the program.
Otherwise, you will have a one-time test approval in this content area and/or any other content areas once you are enrolled in the program. This test approval will be granted once you have completed test prep or the online courses (TCTX XXXX-XXXX). You are not required to test in EC-12 PE.

It is just the area that was identified for admission. You may test in multiple certification areas.

    Sincerely,
    ******* *****

With the knowledge of different options to change your content area, you elect to enroll in iteachTEXAS four months later on July 3, 2020 under the 8-12 Human Development and Family Studies, that aligned with your major. I do not see that you elect to take the EC-12 PACT test prior to your enrollment or made a request to take the EC-12 Special Education TExES during your course of study.

We try to serve our candidate by providing options (PACT test or additional testing upon enrollment) but the certification area is always identified by the program and then the candidate voluntarily enrolls based upon the information provided. Speaking specifically of iteachTEXAS, we post our admission guidelines and requirements and how we identify content areas for enrollment: https://www.iteach.net/texas-teacher-admission-requirements/. The methodology in which we use to identify certification areas is posted publicly and applied consistently to all applicants.
Moving forward, you can continue with the program as you are an active candidate. I would encourage you to complete test preparation in Special Education and then request TExES approval. Or we do have a formal exit process, that would close your account and cease all payments. If you would like to close your account, please email *******@iteach.net.

As always, you can call and speak with me at 940/XXX-XXXX.

    Zach ******
