Good afternoon, I used Dr. ********************** to order a prescription for a health issue. I paid $59.99 on August 23, 2024 for a "consultation". I never spoke to anyone but they sent my prescription to my pharmacy. The next day I went to pickup my prescription and was not able to because there was no doctor name on the prescription. The pharmacy tried to call to get it fixed and no answer. I've tried to call multiple times and no one answered. At this point I've gotten so sick I had to go to urgent care. I've since continued to call and email and asked for a refund of my $59.99 since I was unable to pick up my prescription due to their negligence.Customer response

ON 07.22.2024 I PAID $59 TO DR. ********************** BECAUSE OF A TOOTHACHE TO TRY TO GET ANTIBIOTICS FOR THIS. WHAT THEY CLAIM: . Get treatment for just $59. Why wait till it gets worse to seek treatment? Tooth infection can travel through out the body and cause infection of neck, brain and head. Today 7/2/24 I had a dental emergency and a severe infection and used Dr. *********************** I paid $59.99 for promised fast care. The email once they immediately took payment said "Our medical provider will review your intake form within 4 hours and send your medication to the selected pharmacy. We will contact you if additional information is required.We will issue you a refund if we are unable to treat you." I called 13 times total and left 6 voicemails (the calls I attached were the voicemail calls), and sent 9 emails once 4 hours came and went telling them I needed a refund for no services. After reading all my emails, hours later at 9:27pm they finally decided to respond to me by saying they're now calling in the prescriptions which makes services non-refundable... they blatantly ignore all of my calls and emails and put it through so I can't get a refund! This is absolutely unacceptable! At this point I had to find another provider and get emergency care and I picked up my prescriptions from the other provider way before Dr. ********************** even responded. I even emailed them again after they sent the prescriptions but no answer either. Please help!Initial Complaint

This company is a total scam. On Tuesday I did an online consultation and after received an email saying my prescription was sent to publix. I checked many times both in person and my online portal and nothing was sent. I emailed them and they responded twice telling me my med had been sent, when I knew and had proof it was not. They do not answer the calls nor have responded to my last email requesting a refund.Business response

As a busy Executive and Mom, simply needed a prescription for a steroid cream that cannot be purchased OTC. Signed up, not only did they charge more than the price stated on the website, which would have been fine had they delivered, but placed the request on 6/7 and have been going back and forth for weeks to get back into the website (their MFA does not work!) on top of never being contacted by phone after countless requests, phone calls made simply direct you to email, person who answers won't provide a name and again still no call, no site access and no prescription.Business response

We attempted to contact the customer at the above number, however, the number is not valid. In response to the customer's complaint, prescription details vary based on the condition. I had wisdom tooth removal surgery at a local oral surgeon on Tuesday January 9th ****. Over this last weekend I developed severe lower pain where the lower teeth were extracted.As my oral surgeon is closed on the weekend, I found this website which claims to be an online ******************* I filled out the information. They asked one question what symptoms I had and I submitted the form, paid a $50 fee, and I received an email stating a provider would reach out to me. Instead, some random doctor emailed me saying he prescribed me an antiboric. The provider never called me, never verified my symptoms, never asked more questions to determine a diagnosis. I went and picked up my prescription at ********** where the pharmacist recommended I reach out to my oral surgeons office for guidance and that this company seemed a bit sketchy. I called my oral surgeons office and they had an emergency after hours hotline. I was connected with the oral surgeon who did my surgery and immediately met me at their office, which was closed as he stated they misdiagnosed my issue on this virtual visit and that I had dry socket. The oral surgeon said I did not have an infection and he even stated that this place should be illegal and shut down. I reached out to the Doctor Alexa support team and I stated I wanted my money back as this is was a misdiagnosis and they failed to provide adequate care to determine what my issue was. They wrote back a threatening email that stated they would prove that I signed a consent form to be treated and theres nothing I could do. I have NEVER had an online virtual medical business where the provider doesnt even call to verify anything.Business response

The purpose of telehealth service is to provide support and treatment in the interim while patients await treatment with their primary. As is the case here. The patient submitted a request for Dental Infection due to wisdom teeth removal. Our practitioners provided treatment based on this information, antibiotics was issued which is one treatment option for dry socket per recommendations; and stated on the request and the treatment plan for the patient to follow up with his dentist since this is not a cure. It is just to provide temporary relief until the patient is able to follow up with his dentist which he did. medication We notified the patient that the service fee is non-refundable as it is paid to the provider on-call who reviewed the case issued the prescription to the pharmacy which the patient picked up. Good Day,
The consumer submitted a request for pain management services which we do not provide. We called and emailed the consumer that we were unable to treat and voided their payment. There was only payment attempt by the consumer which was voided, and the receipt is attached here. Consumer should follow up with their banking institution with regards to the return of their funds.
