Received a letter stating that my warranty extension was about to expire for a car that I didn't purchase Everything was hand written and there were x's for vehicle year, purchase date, VIN, make and model

    Business Response

    Date: 03/05/2025

Hello Mr. ******* the letter you received was an advertisement to get coverage for your vehicle. As you stated in the call to our office, you purchased a vehicle in July of last year. That is probably why you received the advertisement.

Today I received an unwanted, unsolicited junk mail from True Auto to inform you that your auto warranty may be expiring or may have already expired. Our records indicate you have not contacted us to update your warranty policy. What warranty?? I have never heard of True Auto and dont have any warranty with them as this tries to imply. Also, what is the year, make/model and VIN of the vehicle they are talking about? What vehicle are they referring to? I have no interest in True Auto or their warranty. Please remove my name from your junk mail list and do not send anymore mailings. Thank you.

February 13, 2025. Hello Staff, I complained about this company ********** me in the mail last year. I filed a complaint with the BBB last year. At that time , this company stated they would not contact me any more. Since that time they CONTINUE TO HARASS ME THROUGH THE MAIL. When I called them last year some young man answered the phone, was rude and hung up on me. I told him before he hung up not to send me any more mail and to remove my address from their mailing list. He stated they would. So they lied. I don't know how they got my address but I have never heard of them and never contacted them to ask for service. When they answered I asked them for their address and he said they were in *****. But I want the mail to stop & I want my address removed from their mailing list. Please do not disclose my email or number to them as they will start harassing me on there as well. Thank you.Miss ****** ********

Hello *********************** to my records, we have not sent you another mailer. In the attachment, you will see the last campaign you were part of was in November of 2024. If you would like me to cross-reference our system for your physical address, I would be happy to do so if you will provide it to me. There is also a possibility that another company has been sending you advertisements, unrelated to us.

Today, 12/31/2024, I received a letter in the mail with no return address and no company name listed anywhere except for a small line near the bottom. It stated that my Auto Warranty "may be expiring or may have already expired." Thing is, I've had this car far longer than the 5 years this letter suggests is the maximum warranty term, and have no memory of ever purchasing an Auto Warranty, much less from True Auto LLC. This letter is either a misleading ad disguised as a legitimate notice, or a front for a scam.

Hello, I received a letter from this company True Auto today on December 21, 2024. The letter has no Return Address on it to identify it. I opened it but there was no name to identify the company. It states: your Auto Warranty may be expiring or already expired. I have no idea who this is. Very misleading. I just want the BBB to tell these people to:Remove my NAME and ADDRESS from their mailing list, their computer system and not to contact me in any way ever again.Thank you.

Hello **************** you look at the letter you provided, our company name is located in the footer of the letter in 14 point font and our phone number is also listed twice. You were able to find us to file this complaint, a phone call requesting to be removed from our list would have been sufficient. I have added your name to our internal do not contact list, please allow 6 - 8 weeks for the mail cycle to update. Have a great New Year.
