Good afternoon. I went to the hospital for service on January 17, 2019. I submitted both of my insurance cards, primary and secondary. I dont have a balance from the hospital because the proper claims were submitted. However, there is a **** from the ** Doctors billing agency, Texas Physicians Resources. The balance is $276. The hospital explained that the doctors work there, but has separate billing agencies. The problem is that the doctors agency only submitted a claim to my primary insurance provider and NOT MY SECONDARY INSURANCE PROVID**!! Leaving me with a **** of $276!! The representatives at the doctors agency will NOT accept accountability for making this mistake and sent the balance to a collection agency. Texas Physicians Resource should have submitted BOTH CLAIMS!! Ridiculous!!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I REJECT. the claim by Texas Physicians Resources. I discussed this matter with the hospital on more than one occasion.Per the hospital, they have both of my insurance providers that I submitted on the day of service. Per the hospital, Texas Physicians Resources was sent a face sheet with all of my pertinent information. I do NOT have a balance at the hospital because they filed the claims with both providers. A representative from the hospital mentioned that Texas Physician Resources has multiple complaints. Texas Physicians resources should have submitted the claims to both of my insurance providers. The $276 balance would have been paid. When I did my own investigation, by talking to the collection agency, my primary insurance which is United Healthcare, and my secondary insurance which is ********** Blue Shield, we all concluded that the lapse in communication was with Texas physician resources. I was told by my insurance providers that all providers are aware that claims have to be filed within 12 months. One of the representatives from Texas Physicians resources said they called me, but recited the wrong number. Also, the representative said they sent the information to my home address, they recited the correct information. However I did not receive any mail from Texas physician resources. It doesnt make sense. If I had received any mail claiming a $276 ****, I would have called the agency because I have two insurance providers. I would never have received a **** and not pay for it, knowing my insurance providers would take care of my balance. This error/mishap Is because of Texas physician resources failed to follow procedure.
I dont think its fair that negligence on Texas Physicians Resources end constitutes a $276 balance to be paid, on my end.
Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:I submitted both insurance cards during the time of service. Texas Physicians Resources did NOT submit the claims to both insurance providers. They only submitted to one provider. Therefore, leaving me with a **** of $276. If Texas Physician Resources would have filed to both insurance providers, I would NOT have a remaining balance. Their representative made a fraudulent claim by stating that they called my telephone and talked to me. However, they recited the wrong number. Their representative said, they sent a **** to my home. However, I did NOT receive a ****.This $276 claim doesnt make any sense!! Why would I receive a **** with a $276 balance, and NOT contact their office about filing the claim with both of my insurance providers because I HAVE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY INSURANCE!!
Regards,
