Initially hired *** Leonard Law Dec 2022 after my fathers passing to proceed with probate and put down the $5,000 deposit. From the beginning there was a lack of communication. I felt once the deposit was made I was thrown to the wayside. I would have to keep emailing or calling to ask the status and keep the case moving. At one point I didnt hear anything for 2 months causing distress and frustration. Meanwhile property tax fees were adding up on the estate as I was unable to move forward with anything. By May 2023 the case had not gone anywhere and I proceeded to sell the home with the assistance of a home buying company which took care of transferring the title to my name. (Which was done in weeks). I have cancelled the relationship as of May 2023 AS REQUIRED BY THE CONTRACT. I have emailed twice advising that I have moved and where to send the refund of my unused deposit. No response and silence. The deadline per the contract for a refund of un-earned monies is 45 days which would be 7/1. Per the contract I should have received a refund by now as there is no way $5,000 worth of work was done on my case. I also have been unable to obtain a detailed billing statement even after several requests.Business response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. Per his contract his refund can be sent no sooner than July 1, 2023. Because this was a Saturday and our office was closed for three days for the July 4, 2023 holiday, his check was scheduled to be mailed on July 6, 2023, which is the soonest possible date after the 45th date . Our office is unable to provide more detail due to the attorney-client relationship, but we will reach out directly to this client to resolve the issue.Customer response
