Do not recommend this company to anyone. Charge are outrageous and the engineers refuse to speak to anyone over the phone. They claim this is to protect themselves and their customers but that is a bunch of boloney. They want to manage very technical specifications via email only and absolutely refuse to provide any verbal clarification or discussion. This process ends up wasting time and money. They translate everything through call handlers and /or company email which leads to miscommunication. Very poor process. My contractor just wanted to talk to the engineer so he fully understood why excessive work was being asked for. He was concerned about charging money for unnecessary work. A short phone conversation would have taken care of everything. However, they do not care about your costs, so they refuse to talk to anyone. My advice. Find a company that isn't afraid to use the phone, which by the way can be recorded for safety purposes if that is what they are worried about.

We are an engineering firm that specializes in writing reports for lending. We were asked to write a report for ****** for her current loan transaction. Our company did a site visit and issued the initial report on 11/29. In the report, the engineer stated that the foundation was non-compliant and outlined that it needed additional anchorage in both the transverse and longitudinal directions (long and short sides of the home). The report stated how many tie downs were required, and the spacing and locations for them. The engineer also attached 4 samples of exactly what he was referring to. ******'s contractor wanted to speak to the engineer on the phone and basically refused to communicate in writing. We require all communication be in writing so that we would have a record of the conversation. The contractor also kept telling her that what the engineer was requiring was not right and shouldn't be required. Our reports are written to national guidelines, not state or local. Her contractor finally did email our engineer and submitted an engineered drawing from **** and from another state as proof that he didn't need what the engineer recommended. He kept telling ****** that the engineer was requiring 2 different anchorage systems under her home which was not correct. Our engineer was requiring more tie downs so there would be anchorage in both the transverse and longitudinal directions. Our engineer asked the contractor why he thought he was requiring 2 different types of anchorage, but the contractor refused to answer hi question and just kept going on about how long he's been doing the type of work.We also offered ****** to have her contractor call and our staff could go over the report and answer any questions, but he never called. After much correspondence explaining that the additional anchorage was necessary for a complaint report, we received additional documentation On 12/05/2022 of work "completed" and the clients stating that they were ready for the new report. The engineer reviewed the information and they still had not added the additional tie downs in the locations he noted and he therefor found the foundation still be non-compliant. Just because her contractor (who is not qualified to make engineering decisions) did not install what was needed and was telling her that it was not needed, does not mean it not needed.
