On March 8th,****** called Legend and stated her car was smoking and would not crank. A truck was dispatched to tow the vehicle to Legends Service facility. Legends service department, after diagnostics and finding a coolant jug on the floor board, determined the vehicle was driven while overheated causing the motor to fail.
Legend Motorcars vehicles are sold with a 3-month or 3,000-mile Limited Drive Warranty. Attached is a copy of the warranty signed by ******.Page two, paragraph four, initialed by ******, states that overheating and/or negligence will void the warranty. I purchased my vehicle in early September and was told repeatedly there were no mechanical issues with vehicle. On day 3, my check engine light came on. I called and was told my gas cap wasnt on tight enough and to disregard.Every single light is now illuminated on my dashboard which is indicative of several major malfunctions.I left a message for service and contacted the manager.I was told I needed to pay a $100 diagnostic fee, $225 for a tow to their dealership, plus my share of the warranty expenses if covered.I notified the manager that this is not a question of warranty coverage rather deceptive practices since I was lied to and told there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and told to disregard the initial issue that took place three days after purchase. This is disheartening as this is my second vehicle purchased from this company. I didnt have any issues with the first one. This is deceptive, dishonest, and disgusting practices.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: It is not sufficient, lacks accountability, lacks the phone call exchange 3 days after purchase between myself and their rep who advised me to disregard the initial onset, and does not provide a resolution.Business Response
Date: 12/20/2023
Dropping the vehicle for service is the only resolution.Customer Answer
Date: 12/20/2023
I am rejecting this response because: the response is vague and does not confirm resolution aligns with my request. I am willing to drop the vehicle for service upon confirmation that ALL repairs will be absorbed by the dealership. Alternatively, I am willing to be placed in a different vehicle that is absent of ANY defects or mechanical issues at NO additional cost.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2012 ****** Rogue from Legend Motorcars in Sept. of 2022. When they got finish with taxes, that ride was almost $20,000. I gave $1,400 down payment with $321.92 every 2 weeks. I was never late on a payment. Within 1 week of having the vehicle, my starter went out. Three weeks later, my radiator burst. Three weeks after that, my cb axle and tire end rod broke. On July 1, 2023, I called and asked will they send someone to pick up my car for repairs because my transmission went out. On July 5th, their repo guy came on my job to pick up my truck. I didn't get a call or nothing saying they were on the way. The security guard at my job wouldn't let him take it without talking to me first. When I approached the guy, that's when he told me he was picking up my vehicle for repairs. Until this day, I have not heard from or spoken to no one about my ride. As I was about to go to another car lot to purchased another vehicle I looked at my credit report and they have put the vehicle on there as voluntarily repossessed/ voluntarily returned and has closed the account just 1 month after picking it up for repairs. I DID NOT give them my truck back. I only gave it to them for repairs to my transmission. I've been spending nothing but money on this ride for them to s**** me over like this and now I'm without a ride. I've called today (Sept. 22, 2023)to speak to someone and still NO COMMUNICATION. I NEED A CAR OR MY MONEY BACK for selling me a vehicle that they knew wasn't no good. They even stop sending receipts to me for payment. I will send the last one they sent me.Business Response

Legend Motorcars is telling a lie. On 6/29/2023 I was at ******************************************************* because they said they was coming to pick the vehicle up that day. I never heard back from them and I still had a job to go to. On July 5, thats when they came to my job to get the vehicle without me knowing but the security guard wouldnt let the guy take it. No one ever called me to let me know they was coming to get the vehicle. When I made it outside my job the guy told me he was sent to get the vehicle for repairs. I tried to contact them for 2 weeks trying to see what was wrong with the vehicle, how long will it take to fix it and how much I owe but ***** NEVER answer the phone nor returned my call. Thats when I just so happen to check my credit report and they put the vehicle on my credit as RETURNED VOLUNTARILY and closed out the account in the same month which was August. How is the possible. They just picked the truck up in July. Did they even fix the vehicle.Customer Answer

I was sold a lemon car Oct 2021 and the dealership disregarded my cry for help. Since the first moment I purchased the car I was having issues. I paid for all repairs and missed or was late for work. I expressed my concerns about the safety of the vehicle and was constantly ignored. I was headed to work, 30 plus miles away from home when the engine blew. It was terrifying and I could have lost my life. They took possession of the car and didnt offer any service or another vehicleBusiness Response

****************** purchased his vehicle on 10/26/2023. There was an issue with a transmission cooler line that needed replaced on 11/18/2023. Legend Motorcars replaced the coolant line under Goodwill on or around this date and ***************** was only responsible for $25.00 of this repair.
On or about February 5 2022, ****************** called stating he needed his vehicle towed for serviced. The vehicle was transported to Legends service facility and found that the vehicle was driven while needing a radiator which caused his vehicle to overheat, warping the motors head.
****************** refused repairs.

**************** purchased her vehicle on 02/16/2023. At the time of contracting the salesman complete a checklist with the customer to ensure everything was working properly before the customer left with the vehicle. The checklist with Ms. ******* signature is attached. The bulb was replaced and nothing else.
On 7/22/2023 **************** called stating that her car stopped in front of a Meineke. She said she had the car diagnosed by ******* and it needed a motor. **************** was advised to have the car towed to Legend for the diagnosis to confirm the vehicle did need a motor. **************** contacted AAA Roadside Assistance and the vehicle was transported to Legend.

I purchased a car on 09/21/2022 putting down $1645 including insurance. The car became faulty less than a hour of driving it off the lot. It stopped on me 6 times while driving in traffic. The car was towed from my home 09/22/2022 to be repaired at their Carrollton location. Was advised it was the ECM and would be updated soon. With poor communication of the companies behalf, while waiting I did request a refund and cancellation of contract, due to dishing out money for rental & under forms of transportation since I hadn't heard anything about my car. We are now at 10/17/2022 I was advised the car was ready and coil packs was replaced. I did respond to the email 10/18/2022 about arrangements being made for me to get the car. More attempts made to reach company with no response we are now at 10/29/2022 I called & finally got Lisa on the phone advising they where not going to place me back in the car cause it still messed up & they would have a salesman(JJ) reach me about being place in a different car and payments would be taken care of so I could start clean in the new car. I went to dealership after paper work & picking out 3 options I still didn't get a car, advise ***** needed to speak with owner for approval to do new deal with no money down but they have $1645 of my money. Told call would happen 10/31/2022 & it didn't , reached out again 11/1/2022 was told to call *****. Since then I've been calling and emailing about rectifying the situation with no response or call back from any person that was included on email. But they have my money, I have a open car loan on my credit with their company but almost 2 months later I still don't have a car. I just want my money back and contract canceled or put me in another car and monies collected should be applied to the replacement car. Fix the issue, do right by your customer considering I didn't even have the car for a whole hour after purchase. This is very unprofessional, inconsiderate and a huge inconvenience.Business Response

This dealership uses unlawful collection tactics and harassment. This vehicle has been repossed 3 times now due to late payment. The vehicle has never been more than 10 days past due and I have communicated with the finance manager on several different occasions regarding the pay periods not matching. I have paid the car payments and any late fees the vehicle accrues which they charge $10 a day every other week it's just simply 1 week off of the bi weekly payments. Lisa ***** has texted me threatening with repossession she has even went as far to tell me I'm being followed by the repo man and what type of vehicle he's supposedly driving I have several of these threatening messages via text which is not legal. I have been harassed and stressed out behind a car I've paid almost 1000 per month for.Business Response

Attached is the "No Grace Period" form that is signed by ******. On 9/26/22 ****** called after her car was repossessed and said she had emailed her paystub so that her payment due dates could be changed to coincide with her current pay schedule. Emails to this address are forwarded to three separate Legend managers to ensure these emails do not go unanswered.
