We hired Spectrum Painting for a job which consisted of painting a large house while removing heavy texture from over 50% of the home and replacing with a much lighter, almost flat hand texture and some other custom requests. We were updating and creating a lighter environment in the house and were also upgrading and updating other items while working with a design company.***** and team were recommended by the design team because they were familiar with the quality of his work and had used him successfully many times before. We bid the job to several other painting contractors and our builder who we trusted implicitly. Ultimately, Spectrum Paintings bid was the most flexible with regard to accommodating our family's living arrangements while the work was being done. They also provided the most competitive overall bid. In fact, one company didnt even bid the job because of some of the complexity involved and other companies wanted us to move out of the house and/or put all of our items in storage for a project that could take 3 or more months. We chose Spectrum painting for the job and are very happy with our choice.In part, I am writing this review to give a counter opinion to the review that I read below. The below review states that ***** was a know it all who would stop by and give disorganized instructions and had to come back and fix some issues after the final walk through. It also seems to state that the job and the crew ultimately did a good job for the agreed upon price but that personality conflict with the owner of the company made the job deserving of the lowest rating. In comparison, I will share my family's experience with the same team and owner for what seems like very similar work. ***** and several of his team members worked in my house all day for over 9 weeks straight. ***** was not only extremely knowledgeable about painting, but often gave opinions about non-painting related parts of the project. He and his two leads and their teams were able to make suggestions and work with us and our designers to ultimately improve the final results of the painting portion of the project, but also, to make suggestions that were helpful to other parts of our remodel. His crew showed up every day and were completely trustworthy in my home. At the end of the job, the work was beautifully done and the team felt like family to me. Having said that, ***** does have a strong and unique personality and is certainly not afraid to offer a counter opinion if he feels it can help. In many cases, my wife and I chose to go with Waynes opinion, in some, we didnt. While I can certainly see someone viewing his style as a know it all, we believe that his knowledge and unique style really helped to make our project better. I enjoyed our conversations and getting to know ***** and his team. I would be lying if I said that everything went perfectly with no adjustments and no need to fix anything or do touch up work. However, in our experience, that's how large painting projects typically work and everything that wasnt done the way we wanted it to be, was corrected immediately without issue or fixed as a result of our final walk through together. In the end, we were thrilled with the job that Spectrum, ****** ****** ****** and the team did. They did it at a competitive price and on our terms. They were trustworthy and respectful with me and my family while spending several weeks in our home. They were creative and helpful in providing solutions that were helpful to us and the success of our project. I also hired them back after the completion of the job to do some additional work and to refinish and paint all of our outdoor furniture. I would absolutely hire Spectrum Painting and ***** in the future.
