After using Circle J for years with great trust, their last outing has me moving on. My system was throwing a code due to the condenser fan not running, so the tech comes out, goes to the condenser fan control panel, removes a dead and dried gecko that apparently fried itself, cleans the contact, and checks the pressures/voltages. That 30 minute visit (without any parts) was billed as $410 ($135 service call and $275 labor). I asked for a tech/invoice review and got zero explanation, just another $410 invoice. Im all about using/helping small businesses, but trust has to be maintained.

Circle J Heating & Air Conditioning Response

We went to this customers house on April 4, 2023 for a service call that the customer said there was an error code reading on his thermostat and was blowing air but not cooling. Our technician did find a dead lizard in one of the contactors but didn't know it that caused the cfm problem. He checked refrigerant pressures, compressor and amp draws were ok. The customer sends an email Thursday April 13, 2023, asking us to check the pricing because the tech was there for 30 minutes just to remove a dead gecko from the control panel and cleaned it. Then he sends another email just a few hours later and said since we didn't respond back to him, he would not use us anymore. Later on that day when I was able to get to my emails, I called this customer, left a message for him to call us back. I called our technician to ask him what he did at this customers house and did he replace any frayed or chewed wires in which he said no. We had accidentally billed the customer under the impression that our tech had repaired chewed wires. I then tried calling the customer again several times apologizing that we had billed him incorrectly and that we would refund him back $150 if he could please call our office. I also sent him an email explaining and apologizing to him and he refused to respond either by phone or email. His $150 has been refunded back to his credit card.
