  My vehicle was towed from an accident scene on 05/04/24. I called on 05/05/24 to inquire about the cost of the tow. I was told the office was closed and would be unable to get the amount until the following day. On Monday May 6th I called and was quoted a price of 1125$ when questioned the lady on the phone said my mistake its 625$ plus ***** per day of storage. I asked why it was so much was told accident tows were more expensive. I called back on May 7th was told they would not charge for the next day storage if I was sure I would be getting it the next day. When I called on the next day I was told there was also a 50$ notification fee as well as 3.99% fee for paying with a debit card. I was charged 625$ for the tow 3 days of storage at ***** ***** notification fee and 3.99% for the debit card total was ******. I was not aware that the state of Texas caps the amount of towing for my size vehicle to 272$. I would like them to reimburse me the difference in what they charge.

  Certified letter attached stated $625.00 for towing plus related fees. The actual tow charge was $175.00 which is well below the allowed limit for nonconsent tow.

  I have attached the invoice given to the tow truck operator that picked up the vehicle. It shows the complete breakdown of all charges that were within the guideline limits of **************** of ********* and Regulation. 

  We were never asked for a tow fee schedule that detailed all charges.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  This breakdown was not given to the owner/ driver of the vehicle. This was not provided until this moment and the signature at the bottom is not known to myself. I still cannot see how you can charge 175$ for labor 175$ for the tow 100$ hook up fee and then 175$ call out fee.

  The owner of the vehicle was verbally given a breakdown twice. The owner never came to our office to pickup a written copy nor did the owner request one to be emailed. A printed yellow copy was given to the wrecker driver that picked up the vehicle from our facility to be towed to a shop.

  I am rejecting this response because: I was given the following breakdown: 625$ tow fee 50$ notification fee 22.85$ perday storage and 3.99% fee for using debit card and only the tow fee and 22.85$ per day storage fee were given prior to making the payment. 

  The screenshot says they're required to provide a tow receipt to the owner.
