Christian Brothers in Friendswood Texas recently did work on my car. They replaced the tensioner on the belt. They failed to bolt back in and plug in the electric fan for my radiator. This caused the radiator to overheat and crack. The tensioner they put on intermittently squeels loudly at stop signs and red lights.

This is what happened to us at Christian brothers in Hutto Texas, we had our van in for repairs because of a clicking noise when in low gear. Christian brothers quoted us $5000, We paid and got the repairs done as we thought its Christian owned business or so the name suggests, on our first drive after repairs, steam started coming out of the hood and the van died in the middle of the state highway. We had AAA tow the van to Christian brothers repair shop, they Christian brothers quoted us another $1600 for additional repairs, we declined. Now we are out of five thousand dollars, and a van that wont work.

Absolutely devastated that I have to write this. Christian Brothers has taken complete advantage and left me in a horrible situation while walking through a difficult season of life. I took my car in for the engine light. They stated I needed to replace a catalytic converter. I paid a large sum to get it fixed. Within a month the light is back on, take it back and they tell me the same thing. I pay to fix it again and surprise a few short weeks later it is back on. This time I come back livid that I am spending this much money for nothing to get fixed. I have taken it back in three times since then, pay for a service, and the light is back on within a day. As a single mother it is devastating to know that I was taken advantage of in a vulnerable time. I have attempted to reach out to corporate multiple times with no success.

After pulling my engine to repair oil leaks, my check engine light comes on 30 mins after I picked my vehicle up. It takes longer than expected, but I tell them I’d rather have it done right than done fast. He says it’s taking more time because my car is older and they are replacing bolts they break. I found that’s a lie. As I hold loose bolts in my hand. I take it the next day for the check engine light that didn’t happen until they did the oil leak repair, they tell me it’s a CO2 sensor. They bring it to my home. I drive it and now a belt is squeaking. A new belt that they just put on. In investigating the belt, I find they simply laid my engine cover on, there was a loose metal washer and plastic bracket loose in the engine compartment. Who knows how many other loose screws are in my engine compartment. These are not Christian values. They are just hiding behind the guise of it when they are no better than a shade tree mechanic holding cars together with bubblegum and duct tape.
