The person running the cash register was incredibly rude, condescending and highly lacking in customer service skills. I would highly suggest finding an individual that is better suited for this job and based on other reviews this seems to be an issue with a lot of other customers.

I attended a Margie Beegle estate sale with a veteran shopper familiar with the shopping rules. We had a good experience and appreciate the difficulties of protecting an estate’s property while interacting with the public. When shopping, if your hands become full, they provide what is called a “hold” table where you place the items you INTEND TO PURCHASE. Then you can continue shopping hands free. One of the seven rules is that once an item is placed on the Hold Table, you WILL be buying it. This seems to be an area of confusion for some shoppers, so it might be better to call that table the SOLD BUT UNPAID TABLE. Following the rules makes everything run smoothly, and it’s understandable (even if different from other estate sales) that it would disadvantage the estate if people placed items aside (on the hold table) without intent to purchase because they are essentially “off the market” for all other buyers. The prices are fair and they are willing to negotiate according to their schedule. Asking for discounts outside of the stated times is unacceptable. From what I heard, Jennifer could certainly be a better communicator with the public when rules are broken, but it appeared during my experience that if rules are followed, it’s a great way to find treasures and help families settle their estate.

Beyond rude, they overcharged me for $15 for nothing. I bought 4 items and somehow got charged an extra 15$. When I questioned her about the charge, suddenly she yelled I was being rude and had me escorted out by her on-duty police officer. It should be a major red flag when an estate sale needs hired security!! Never go to this person's sales!! I only gave a one-star rating because you have to pick one to post. It should be Negative stars for this !!

Screamed at people, rude, disrespectful, actually unhinged behavior. This lady is legitimately out of her mind.

Worst experience at an estate sale I've ever had. I Drove an hour to visit this estate sale with my wife and 3 yr old. I went in to ask the lady if my wife could wait on the sidewalk with my son while I walked around then swapped. She immediately called a security officer to have me escorted out. For asking a simple question. I hope she goes out of business. I have never been treated so rudely. DO NOT USE HER SERVICE OR PURCHASE FROM THIS LADY. 1

Avoid these sales. This woman is absolutely unhinged. I have zero issue with simple rules but to be yelled at…and verbally abused in public, well she quickly crossed the line into bad business practices. I’m a regular estate sale goer and a good (rational, calm, quiet) customer and never have I experienced anything like this woman’s behavior, not even in the most busy of a sale. You can be a strong estate sales leader and also advocate for others without being abusive. I don’t often stop to write reviews unless it’s positive or to serve as a community warning… I consider this a community service to write this and recommend checking out other companies that consistently provide great service for their clients (and the buying customers)… CHECK REFERENCES. See a trend and it’s likely true….

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE My mom and I are frequent estate sale shoppers, we love it and we go all over the Houston and surrounding areas. We know the rules but this experience was absolutely insane. Genuinely i never write reviews but this has to be said. The staff was so rude and difficult to work with. It sucked the fun out of finding treasures. While we were shopping a woman of color was getting upset for being treated poorly. At first, i was confused on what was going on but could see how unreasonable the staff was. All of a sudden we hear screaming from the worker (which I’m guessing is the owner of the estate sale company) at the woman, the woman kept saying how this is insane how disrespectful these people are and the lady was screaming at her to tell her to get out. Red flag #1. My mom and i had so much stuff we were getting, she had a 35$ pot on the hold table which normally at estate sales you can hold it and always have free range to decide if you don’t want it. Plus how would we walk around and hold it the whole time anyway. So she puts it back and i had my stuff to check out separately and she refused service to me and my mom because we “did not listen” and my mom put it back. I was trying to understand from her why i couldn’t get my belongings as i was separate from my mother and she wouldn’t look me in the eye and talking to the lady behind us. This is absolutely ridiculous. The attitude, the insane rules, have stripped the fun out of this estate sale. I know we are not going to be the only victims of being treated so poorly so just a warning to not even waste your time. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!

I had the most horrible humiliating experience I’ve ever had at an estate sale run by Margie Beegle Sales. I feel people need to know what I went through to be aware if they decide to go to an estate sale run by this company. There's this rule I've never seen on any estate sales that says that if you put something on the sold table you are obligated to buy it. Since this has never been a rule on any estate sales I've been to, I didn't even see the sign. In the past, I've always double-checked items before purchasing. One of the items was crooked and it was not cheap so I decided to put it back in the same place I found it. When it was time for me to pay I was asked about the item and the lady at the front told me I needed to buy it. I asked why. Is crooked? I put it back right where I found it. Because I asked why she kicked me out. She asked one person from his staff to take me out. Please note that I wasn't hostile. I asked nicely. Why do I need to buy it if it's not in good condition? I've never been kicked out before from anywhere… It felt humiliating. She said that I was arguing when I was simply asking a question. I felt discriminated against.

Margie is extremely rude and unprofessional; as is her main employee (the one who yells at people standing in the rain outside, and thinks that people are there for his 15 mn of fame). They talk down to customers, and they're very unpleasant. I'm happy to say that I will never again set foot in one of Margie Beegles' sales. RUDE RUDE RUDE

I drove 40 minutes to the Jeff ****** sale. As soon as I walked in I saw a Kentucky Derby glass that I wanted and placed it and 5 other glasses on her hold table. I perused the rest of the house for about an hour. When I came back to pay she rang everything up and said it would 27 dollars and whatever change. I pulled out my phone to pay and she told me she only takes cash for anything under 75. I said "Dang I didn't know" and she told me I should've read the signs. I said "Is there anyway you can add whatever processing fee she has to pay to my total and she told me no that it's an accounting nightmare. I sighed and said well I guess I'll put the stuff back. She said they would do that. I said ok and walked away. As I walked back toward my truck I contemplated asking a stranger to let me Venmo them for some cash but decided against that. Instead I decided to drive 6 minutes away to a CVS, buy something and get cash back. I decided to just get 10 dollars because I didn't really need the other glasses anyway. I walked back into the house, got the glass from the counter, went back to her table and she said "No." I said, "I'm sorry. What?" She said "You were rude and you need to leave." I said "How was I rude?" She told me she doesn't have to explain herself to me and then she yelled across the room for her security guy to escort me out. He didn't have to escort me because I don't troll estate sales looking to fight. I walked out on my own obviously. When I got outside the door I asked him if he could tell what I did wrong and he said "You don't have to do anything wrong. If she wants you gone, you're gone." I'm seething mad. Shocked. Embarrassed. I have never been treated that way. Obviously I will never go to another sale she has. I called and reported this to estatesales.net. I called the number for Margie Beegle and turns out the number listed is Jennifer Beegle, the lady at the table. Jennifer is mean, rude, disrespectful...just a nasty person.
