      STAY AWAY! This bank doesn't know where the f*** your money goes to when there is a debit from your checking account. All they say when you ask "Who got this $500 that was pulled out of my checking account?" is "We are only provided with the information you see in your app." Which means they DO NOT KNOW!!!!!!! What kind of bank is this who allows money to go right out of your checking account and doesn't even know where it went!!!!!!!! So, now all they want to do is freeze my account and issue another number. What a nightmare. We have multiple direct deposits and many automatic ACH's for utilities, etc.

      0 stars for Welby. Worst financial institution I have ever worked with. They processed a accident policy I wasn't aware of which took my savings negative then locked my account. Getting it fixed has been a nightmare. I do NOT recommend doing business with them. When I bought my RV they couldn't even get the paperwork right.

      I opened a "Wellby Savings Plus" account hoping to take advantage of their "high yield" savings. One of the requirements for getting the 2% bonus dividend rate is that you have a direct deposit to your checking account. Sounds easy enough. Well, I get paid on the 1st of the month. Because of Wellby's new Pay Day Advance, the check that's supposed to be deposited on the 1st sometimes get posted the previous month. For example, my August 1st check was posted on July 30th. Since my September 1st check didn't post until September 3rd, I didn't get a direct deposit for August, so I missed out on the 2% bonus dividend THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN! Totally unfair. I've called to complain (twice, because nobody called me back the first time). And all they can tell me is "unfortunately" there is nothing they can do. Seriously?! And it's not possible to opt out of Pay Day Advance. What a rip off.

      Worst banking experience since they took over JSC! I cannot wait for rates to go back down so I can move my mortgage from them! The incompetence is absolutely mind boggling! Had to have insurance check for roof replacement cancelled and reissued because Wellby didn't endorse the fricking check correctly with THEIR NAME ON IT!! Then was told I had to mail the check to some place in IL, wait for them to endorse it and mail back to me so I could deposit it!! What kind of backwards @!$% process is that!!?? Then they just throw it in a envelope, slap a stamp on it, drop it in the mail! No tracking to see where it is, when its gonna get here, nothing!! Meanwhile I am waiting on a roof to be replaced! Shame on you JSC for selling out to these people! OH! forgot to mention, I found out after trying to get a home improvement loan(not through Wellby) that they mistakenly put two liens for the same amount against my home, one in error of course and it took an act of God to get the one removed! I was actually told by some call center script reading robot that I needed to pay off the loan to get the lien in error removed!!! Incompetent!! I wish it was possible to leave a 1/16th of a star review.

      Horrible experience - card was comprised. Cancelled card, got a new one. Amount (not mine) was taken out of my account and now I cannot get through to Wellby to get my money back. I have bills to pay and now I am going to be penalized. No one knows anything. After many years with JSC in Friendswood, Tx, I will change to a different bank. This is very poor customer service.

      It’s a very frustrating process to activate your credit card. My wallet was stolen 3 weeks ago. I called to cancel my card I waited 10 days to receive no card. I called the bank back spending 1 hour on the phone getting a card which took 5 days to get. I called the 800 on the back of the card to activate the people there said to call the main number back for verification process. They told me to call the main number back. I talk to Liz. She didn’t understand what I need. I repeated the credit card number 5 times and she said that she didn’t release that it was a credit card number. I asked to speak to the manager about her poor service because she was not understanding my needs. She refused and I have to go in person to fill a formal complaint. It feels like you have to pull hair to get it, activated it and receive it.

      BBB complaint Wellby has made numerous banking errors when auto drafting my mortgage. For my June and July auto drafts this year, they never came out of my bank account linked. I had to make several phone calls and even once appear at a Galveston branch; each time being promised the issue was resolved. I should not be getting late letters from this institution when negligence is on behalf of their poor, inexperienced, and rude mortgage associates who can’t get this issue resolved in a timely manner. I even had an inexperienced, untrained associate try to tell my my mortgage escrow was delinquent after I switched flood insurances. They didn’t understand I was waiting on the dispersed check from the previous agency’s premium. They also falsely gave me a $3000 check in late summer 2022 from an escrow analysis. They said the money was mine due to Texas City school taxes dropping. That was not the case, bc in addition to my flood insurance premium changing, they added the $3000 delinquency right back on. So sending me the check was a banking error, once again. I have never been so disgruntled towards a bank. I have been treated without respect, and condescended by associates in the call centers as well. This bank needs to hire more experienced employees to run the mortgage side of their business. I have spent more than 12 hours on the phone in the last year with Wellby ( which I can happily document from my AT&T cell phone bill ) attempting to resolve issues that should be very elementary at most. Lastly, I was told by a supervisor in the loss and mitigation department I would get 4 late mortgage payments removed from my credit reports due to COVID relief. I never filed for relief bc I caught up quickly, but I explained and sent proving documents to the right channels to WELLBY / DMI. The supervisor made an exception for me. I was then told I was denied the late payment deletions bc I didn’t file for it. So I was lied to. Inexperienced employees sums it up
