****** profiled two cashiers at this store on $1 day. Cashier placed my items in the bag, told me the amount due. Looked in my crossbody purse for my wallet when I heard "I need to check your pockets". Confused b/c I did not know she was talking to me. Said excuse me and she repeated her statement. She also asked to check my purse. Wearing a small crossbody purse and a jacket, protested and asked her what she thought I had in my pockets/purse. Asked were they checking other customers pockets/purses? Both cashiers said they were told by security to do the check. Protested, asked for security and the reason for this. Cashiers said they were they just doing their job and security had me on camera. Embarrassed, insulted, did not want any trouble or cause a scene. Small crossbody purse was already open and she looked in my pockets. Nothing there. Very upset, paid for my items, asked again to speak with store manager. Cashier told me the store manager was not in the store, refused to give me store manager’s name. Went outside the store, called the store number, transferred to a supervisor. Walked back inside the store, spoke with a man named, Mr. Al ****. He said, “they have a right to search your bag” and I “could have left my bag at the register”. Did not enter the store with a bag. Asked him for the store policy, store manager’s name to make a complaint. Took my name and number, said he would give it to the store manager, and he will send me the store policy. Called the store numerous times during the week for the store manager, no one has returned my calls, and I never received the store policy. Every time I have called the store and asked for Mr. Al **** or the manager, I was told they are in a meeting. Why was I singled for no reason? This is a serious matter.
