The video course refreshes constantly and does not load. I constantly had to login again to complete a video. When I called to let the company know they just said "okay".Review from David B

After completion of the coarse I followed the steps to retrieve the certificate and was presented with a dialog to get the certificate requiring a CC. I assumed it was another verification but after calling support it was to download. As I finished early I would have opted to have it mailed if it had been apparent. I have to agree with other customers that the 24/7 customer services is very deceptive and false. I completed my course on a Sunday and called their customer service phone number, because I had a question about the online certificate, just to find out that they are closed on Sundays. My second complain, and another deceptive tactic, is that they don't disclose upfront, the fact that you have to pay a $10.95 fee to download the online certificate. This is clearly a rip-off, in today's digitized world, the online certificate should be FREE and included in the price of the course. I would have been okay about the $10.95 certificate download fee, if I was informed before starting the course, but to find out about it after completing the course, is deceptive and an unethical business practice... they only disclose this fee after you successfully completed the course. I will not use this company in the future, and I can't also not recommend and endorse it. I'm also considering filing a complaint with the ******* ***** ********** ***** agency for unethical business practices.Review from Janet G

It was excruciating. I am 70 years old. Technology is so hard for me. They included severe time pressures, such as no lunch break, but instead there were 5 breaks of 12 minutes each. The course took all day. I had to dash to the bathroom, and dash back. Always some sort of timer was running. Dreadful pop-up questions, (statistics!) and a scolding, threatening pop-up each time I missed one. One thing was very, very good. When I called a phone number, I got humans who were kind and helpful. Incidentally, I passed.

The biggest scam! Tacked on fee after fee, such as 25$ just to get your certificate before 2 weeks! Ended up being 53$ total which is just outrageous!Defensive Driving.com Response

Our records indicate that Ms. ******* has not contacted our office to discuss this matter or learn of her options. It does not take two weeks to receive a Certificate in the mail at no additional cost. DefensiveDriving.com prints and mails Certificates daily. We are one of few course providers that provides Texas-based, US based customer service to assist Ms, Jenkins and others with their requests.Review from Arianna G

While the videos and questions made the course easy. I have to give a 1 star review because at the end when getting the certificate. I selected the mail option specifically because it was free. However, after i passed that page, it asked for my card info. I tried to go back to make sure the settings i put were the same, but it wouldn't let me. Kept bringing me to inputting my card if I wanted the certificate. Thinking it wouldn't charge me like it said, I did, but then it charged me $25 and changed the certificate delivery to instant download. Something I SPECIFICALLY DID NOT CLICK. Just something to keep in mind when using this course.Defensive Driving.com Response

This website is very deceptive. STAY AWAY!!!! They show 24/7 support on their website. One of the questions asked is about the customer service; the correct answer being 24/7. When you log into your account there is an option to click for 24/7 support. When you do click it is in fact limited customer service. I had an issue arise and now I have to wait to resolve it. I would first like to warn that the website stores your password in plaintext. I verified this by clicking "forgot password" and they sent an email to me that contained my password instead of a link to reset it. Normally passwords are encrypted on a database so not even the site's host can know what your password is. I work IT and understand that this is a very serious issue. This makes the website a significant attack vector for hackers to steal your password, so if you use this website MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A NEW AND UNIQUE PASSWORD! I would also recommend seeing about scrubbing your information off of the website ASAP after your ticket is dealt with. Now onto critique of the service: Website advertises "lowest price", but if you want to take the video course they tack on $10 extra to the price. If you would like to be able to download and print your certificate it also costs an additional $25 while somehow having them ship your certificate to you is free. If you would like to take this course and not pay extra you need to take it early enough that your certificate can ship to you before you need to finalize your citation and take the text-based course instead of the video course. Additionally they offer to send you your driving report for $27.50+tax. In the state of Texas, where I took this course, you can download and print this from the state directly for $12. Additionally the content is very outdated and as a result the audio quality isn't great. On top of this some of the cast in the video course will mumble instead of enunciating clearly. If you have trouble hearing or with speech recognition you may need to replay certain sections or may fail to even understand what's being said at all. If you struggle at all with this I would recommend either looking for another course or sticking to the text-based course. Just as everyone else has said this company HIDES THE FACT that they CHARGE $25 for a DIGITAL COPY of your certificate making you instead wait over a week to get your certificate through the mail. The support was not supportive and the manager I spoke to was argumentative with me out the gate saying I am "the first person to ever call and complain about this". He also stated that it is clearly indicated on a page on the site but couldn't tell me the URL of that supposed page. HIDDEN FEES! NOT AS ADVERTISED! This company did not make it clear at registration that an additional $25 would be due to have the course results printed. I feel that this company is predatory and taking advantage of the fact the those who take this course need to have their results in a timely manner.
