1 starDONT GO WITH THEM! Gave 5 stars just so this message doesn't get filtered out! It was time to renew with them and gave me the worst rates posible. (thats not the problem) they kept the whole credit from what I created from my solar!!!! Rep said "You didn't use it and since you canceled you lost it" WOW!!! Now you have been warned. So its really NOT the best company. they couldn't have told me this before I canceled? So you produced the energy, they give you a credit, when it's time to renew they give you a crap Rate, you cancel, and they keep your money (credit). now you do get the credit if you have over paid (thats it)!Review fromGlen H

Their customer service is slow and sometimes unintelligible. They are violating Texas laws regarding past due payment grace periods for the elderly. They kept my $140 deposit despite my following their requirements to the letter. I have cut my energy bill 50% by dropping Gexa and going to a plan found for me by ****** ****.Gexa Energy, L.P.

I decided to cancel with GEXA because their are advertised rates are deceptive and after getting a $400 bill in a small place that I live in I started digging deeper. After looking thoroughly through their rate sheet I realized that unlike other companies, their advertised rate does not include the TDU delivery charges for electricity, and therefore you end up paying way more than the advertise rate, even with their so called credit that they give you every month. To have a $400 bill in a 1100 square-foot home with a new HVAC is insane, never again!Gexa Energy, L.P.

Deceptive practices on a plan that clearly states a price per Kilowatt hour. After an hour on the phone with multiple employees I understood that the price per KWH is DOUBLE what I thought it was if I don't hit exactly a specific number each billing period. Terrible greed that knows no bounds. Lost another customer permanently, and hopefully anyone that reads all of these 1 star reviews will quickly understand to stay away from this company.Gexa Energy, L.P.

The prices listed online attracted me, but when I switched to this power company, my electric bill doubled in the first month, and I think that may be why I haven't had a chance to get the points yet. By the second month, the electricity bill had increased significantly. I had to call the customer service of this electric company and ask for a change of plan. The customer service was very nice and said they would call me back when the verification was clear. I never received this so-called phone call. I even answered every call, including countless spam calls. In the end, I decided to switch to another power company immediately before the two-year contract ended, and I paid a $295 cancellation fee. I didn't want to be troublesome, I hope this matter is over. However, thinking that there are other customers who may have my experience, after more than two months, I still made up my mind to take the time to share my experience, hoping that people who are considering this power company will deal with it carefully.Gexa Energy, L.P.

Bait and switch with the plan pricing. When you call to figure out what's going on they will change your plan, because they know they are scamming people, but they won't let you see the energy facts label or any plan documents before you agree to the new plan. Buyer beware....Gexa Energy, L.P.

Horrible!!! We requested an itemized statement because every month we are paying the amount requested and displayed online. You cannot change the amount to pay. 2-3 days after, we always receive a disconnect notice for an additional amount of $230-$380 more to be paid in the same month. No empathy, no assistance and no one speaks English….Maria the supervisor could not answer. Robbery….Run fast!!!!Gexa Energy, L.P.

I contacted ***** ****** for electric power. Meanwhile talking to the agent he did not mention me any energy proficient thermostat that's what I remember and after the talk he told me I need to agree for the contract that he's going to read through. So I said yes thinking that he's just reading out the contract for electricity power. I said yes to all his questions. I was not giving that much attention to when I said Later their technician called to make an appointment for installing the energy efficient thermostat. I told him I did not ask for that. He replied that it's free so I installed it. After 2 months I knew that is going to be costly 9.99 per month for 2 years contract and if you break the contract is going to be $200. I had a much better thermostat than they are thermostat. I contacted Gexa energy and they told me that they reviewed the contract and listened to the conversation which reveal that I had agreed for the thermostat. When I asked if I can listen to the conversation I had with age they told me that their policy doesn't let me listen to it. I mentioned them about the conversation I had with the technician but they were not ready to listen to that conversation where it should say this is free from Texas energy. This is very frustrating. I don't recommend Gexa energy for anyone. the Kansas national fee is $200 for the thermostat. When I asked the customer service agent what kind of energy proficiency this thermostat provides me then the previous thermostat I had he told me it regulates temperature then I told him that is what thermostat does he didn't have any other answerGexa Energy, L.P.
