Vendor would not get in touch with us or our planner before the wedding after we booked their services, signed contract and paid in full at time of booking. After many failed attempts, Lewis (owner) finally confirmed with us that all was a go for the 6 contracted services/items for our wedding day 3 days out from the day. On the day of, he showed up late and only had ONE of the 6 contracted items/services with him and they happened to be damaged, dirty and had many burnt out bulbs (marquee letters). Our venue director and coordinator spoke with him in person regarding the situation and he stated that we would be receiving a full refund in the amount of $1900 but he has failed to provide this and is making excuses and avoiding us at all costs. He is running a scam, which is clear from all online reviews of the business. He also has a clause in his contract that we cannot put any negative reviews online about him or we owe him $5,000. This company has now been banned from several of the most well known wedding venues in Texas. He had us pay him through Venmo and instructed us to mark it as “friends and family” which prevents from us handling it through Venmo directly (also likely part of his scam). We are seeking our $1900 back immediately and are trying to handle it civilly before moving forward with legal action per our contract.
