    Disputing debt amount of $5100 to Blackmon and Mooring (collection notice attached). One thousand dollars was paid to start the repairs which was more than half of what the estimated amount that was sent on 4/20/22- Estimate: H*****-26292500-1 (attached) This company was hired for a job that has not been completed (incomplete and nonmatching paint; picture attached). The company is basing this amount solely on an estimate that they provided to USAA, however they were not hired to complete all the damages listed. Blackmon and Mooring was hired for specific home repairs that again have not been fully completed, started by subcontractors. Multiple calls have been made to Blackmon and Mooring requesting a final invoice and completion of work. I have not received either. Again, the work has not been completed and I have not received an itemization of the current amount of the debt. According to The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act it is illegal for debt collectors to harass or threaten you when trying to collect on a debt. Patrick ******* called on January 4th from phone number 346-804-**** at approximately 2:46pm. I asked him to speak with Estimator and Project manager as there had to be an error and he stated, “we could do this the easy way or hard way” and then threatened to put a lien on my house and hung up the phone, without speaking with the estimator and/or project manager and without me ever receiving an itemization, which I have yet to receive. Spoke with James **** on January 4th at 3:16pm and he stated he would call Patrick ******* to figure things out and call me back. I have not received any form of communication. On January 6th at 2:28pm I called and spoke with Darrin, who is the supervisor for James **** and asked what was going on and I was told that he would call me back in 15mins once he made it back into the office. I have not received a call back. The only written notice that I have received at the only address on file is this Debt collector letter from ****** ********** LLC, which does not have an operating phone number to speak with someone. Only and automated system (866)401-****. I would like them to complete the work as well as send a correct invoice and retract the collections notice.

    My home was hit by a tornado in May of 2023 - a 100' tree landed on my roof and damaged part of the structure. Blackmon Mooring/BMS CAT trucks were there same day offering restoration/repair services. They immediately tarped the roof. They sent an adjuster to make an estimate. The estimate seemed fair to me.... and my insurance company. I signed an agreement with them and gave BMS a deposit. Then it all fell apart........ Here are the steps....... -Work assigned to project manager -Project manager does walk through and generates estimate and work order -Estimate sent to insurance company -One month goes by with no activity -No one at BMS Cat knows what's going on because the project manager has quit BMS -I inform the General Manger at BMS that I will be down at their office to pick-up a check for my deposit -General Manager assigns new project manager.............. -Rinse and repeat three times! I literally talked to the General Manager three times telling him that I would come by their office to pick up my deposit. (Of course, I actually placed about 15 calls.....) If they wan't to take action against me for breach of contract - so be it............. On the third try, I got a project manager who stuck with the company and job. By that time the cost of the job had increased because the tarps had deteriorated and there was additional water damage. Also, the guy who sent invoices/work orders to insurance companies for BMS messed-up and sent my insurance company incorrect paperwork. This mix-up (and a very long story), ended up costing me about $12,000 out-of-pocket. To be fair, the work, once it started in late November of 2023, was done to my satisfaction. Work was finished in January of 2024. I settled the final amount with BMS and Insurance in early April of 2024, I rate customer service and responsiveness to customer about a 0/5. The actual work, 3.5/5 I recommend not dealing with Blackmon Mooring & BMS CAT for your repair/restoration needs.
