    My home was hit by a tornado in May of 2023 - a 100' tree landed on my roof and damaged part of the structure. Blackmon Mooring/BMS CAT trucks were there same day offering restoration/repair services. They immediately tarped the roof. They sent an adjuster to make an estimate. The estimate seemed fair to me.... and my insurance company. I signed an agreement with them and gave BMS a deposit. Then it all fell apart........ Here are the steps....... -Work assigned to project manager -Project manager does walk through and generates estimate and work order -Estimate sent to insurance company -One month goes by with no activity -No one at BMS Cat knows what's going on because the project manager has quit BMS -I inform the General Manger at BMS that I will be down at their office to pick-up a check for my deposit -General Manager assigns new project manager.............. -Rinse and repeat three times! I literally talked to the General Manager three times telling him that I would come by their office to pick up my deposit. (Of course, I actually placed about 15 calls.....) If they wan't to take action against me for breach of contract - so be it............. On the third try, I got a project manager who stuck with the company and job. By that time the cost of the job had increased because the tarps had deteriorated and there was additional water damage. Also, the guy who sent invoices/work orders to insurance companies for BMS messed-up and sent my insurance company incorrect paperwork. This mix-up (and a very long story), ended up costing me about $12,000 out-of-pocket. To be fair, the work, once it started in late November of 2023, was done to my satisfaction. Work was finished in January of 2024. I settled the final amount with BMS and Insurance in early April of 2024, I rate customer service and responsiveness to customer about a 0/5. The actual work, 3.5/5 I recommend not dealing with Blackmon Mooring & BMS CAT for your repair/restoration needs.
