Terrible business. Keep raising their rates and do not provide a service. Missed pickup 3 times last quarter and many times in the past. Missed pickup last week, but picked our neighbors garbage up. Just paid the bill through September and they will not refund after cancelation of service. They are incompetent crooks. 1 star is too high of a rating.Waste Management Response

ZERO stars. Horrific customer 'service'. Called to cancel my service today because that is the only way Waste Management will accept cancellation of service. I spoke with 'Brian', who according to him, is the only Brian at Waste Management, so you'll know who he is. Brian would not let me cancel my service with WM. He continued to talk over me, and refused to go through the actual process of cancelling until he had taken things to the point of frustrating me. These people know exactly what they are doing. They stay calm, cool and collected while they completely ignore you and what you are saying. They won't do as you ask so then the frustration level gets to the point that you are the one angry and they are on the other side of the line, still refusing to help you, in a very calm way. I want to cancel my service and Brian refused to do so. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me there was no supervisor, that's why I was speaking to him. Bull. There is someone above him, he refused to connect me. I will never do business with WM again. Completely disreputable. Not sure how this organization has such a high rating with BBB. We pay for service we don't receive. Last week WM missed the recycling pick up for our home and our neighbor's home. Contacted WM and was told they'd come back to do the pick up. It didn't happen. Our neighbor pays for walk up service. That hasn't happened either. His recycling and garbage bin are still at the end of the driveway. Earlier this year WM delivered an additional recycling bin to our home by mistake. I contacted WM customer service to pick it up. WM took the extra bin plus our recycling bin so then we had NO recycling bin. It was a frustrating process to get our bin back. Over and over again WM disappoints. We had stopped our WM service and found another company that gave great service. Unfortunately that company was purchased by WM so here we are again.Waste Management Response

Started service 3 weeks ago, have not come to pick up the bins. Called customer service to ask what the issue was, they were absolutely no help at all. They labeled the bins not rolled out when they were well within the mandatory 3 ft from the road, lids closed, etc. No answers as to why they keep ignoring but our trash is overflowing, nobody is answering any questions, and now we are stuck driving 20 minutes one way to the dump to get rid of our garbage until our new service starts. I will never use WM again, this has been a horrible experience with no assistance as to how to remedy whatever issues the drivers were having. I wish that I had read reviews before signing up for service with this god-awful company, it would've save me and my fiancee a lot of headache. It' s clear that WM cares nothing about their customers because there are 2000 reviews with a 1 star average rating. Don't waste your time, if there is another service in your area, even if it's more expensive, please just save yourself the struggle and use them over WM.Waste Management Response

This is a terribly run company. I have been trying for days to contact someone via phone or messaging via their online support. NO response at all. Placed on hold when their system calls me back and no one ever picks up. I think I wasted over 4 hours just trying to contact this company. Washoe County should search for a new provider or assume the service. I'll keep trying to contact but..........WASHOE COUNTY find another company for trash pickup!Waste Management Response

For the past threee weeks, WM has failed to pick up the yard waste bins and I have to call them every day. Today I told them they are not fulfilling their service agreement and I want to cancel and get a partial refund on the fee I paid them. They said they do not give refunds!Waste Management Response

Waste Management constantly misses pickups or comes a day late. You will never get any issues resolved. Your better off paying more for a dependable organization. Shocking this company is still in business. Apparently they are low balling their prices to stay viable and thereby provide the cheapest service they can.Waste Management Response

Waste management in Gridley, ca sucks. The driver doesn't care if they empty the garbage completely. They have completely missed picking up my trash multiple times. I call them, I'm on hold for 1 hour or more and they say that he will reschedule a pick up and trash still doesn't get picked up when the weather is over 110 degrees! They dropped dog poop all over my truck and drive way while emptying my yard waste.Waste Management Response

Customer Service at WM does NOT exist. WM bought the trash company I was using. I kept the service for multiple years after the acquisition. They provided less services and prices increased. I recently decided to go with a new service provider. WM makes it very difficult to cancel service, and on top of that they are saying I have a "contract" and are charging me a cancellation fee. I'm still waiting for them to show me this "contract". I was also told by a rep to stop my Auto Pay subscription; however, when I get the next invoice, there was a penalty charge for not having Auto Pay turned on. Ridiculous. I was in 3 Live chat sessions for 45 min. The rep stated I needed to call a live rep as chat reps where not empowered to assist me any further. She gave me a number to call. After many steps of authentication, the IVR announced they are closed for the day. WM needs new leadership that actually cares about customers.Waste Management Response
