If I could give them 0 stars I would. My experience with this company was atrocious!! The story goes as follows:I missed my garbage/recycling pick up, so I called them and spoke with ******* to see if they could come back out. They told me that it would cost $7.31 to come back out for the garbage. I was ok with that. I asked about the recycling, and they let me know that there is no indication that it was picked up. They told me if they don't come out for the recycling to give them a call the next day. Unfortunately, the recycling was not picked up. So I give them a call the next day and spoke with **** to see if they could come for the recycling. They told me that there is a note that the recycling bin was not out when they came at 8:35AM PST. I have cameras around my house so I checked the recording and saw that it was 8:11AM PST when I put the bin out. I called them out on it and they came back to me saying the reason they didn't pick it up was because there was a plastic bag in the bin, so they did not take it. I admit that I did not know that they won't pick it up if there is a plastic bag in there. **** then tells me that I would need to pay $150 to get them to come back out. I find that to be RIDICULOUS!! My complaint here is that ******* did not disclose the fact that I would have to pay $150 for them to come back the day after normal garbage pick up. **** also lied to me in saying that the recycling bin was not out when they came out to get the recycling when it actually was. **** then stated that it was because of the plastic bag. I asked then why he lied to me and **** stated that the initial note said it was not there, but when they dug deeper, they found the note stating that there was a note regarding the plastic bag. This is very upsetting, because ******* failed to disclose the $150 fee for them to come out and **** lied to me in saying that the bin was not out when they came to pick up the recycling when it actually was out. HORRIBLE!!Waste Management

I started my service with WM and I hadnt received a trash can for over a week. I dont know if it was me or the company that messed up on showing that I needed a trash can, but the customer service was very helpful and we received a trash can the next morning.Waste Management

I live in *************** in ********. I have no issues with waste management's trash or recycling. It's the yard waste person. First week 9f pickup the tagged my can saying no carts in yard waste. We called to see what the problem was. We were told they would call back. No call. Thenext week they would not pick it up again. I've been using the same cans for 33 years with no issues. So I really don't k ow what the problem was, I just figured the cans were to big. Fine I took care of the stuff 8n the cans. The third week I had cut and bundled my tall grass. The person picked up all but one bundle. Now mind you I am a 66 year old female who picked up the yard waste cans and took care of the tall grass. This person who is picking up in my opinion is lazy and does not care about doing a proper job. To leave a bundle that weighs maybe a pound is lazy lazy lazyWaste Management

I called and canceled my service on March 6, 2025 - BEFORE the end of the 3 month cycle that was already paid for. I received an email today April 26, 2025 stating I was late on payment and owe over $165. Now, I had a heck of a time trying to cancel as it took 4 phone calls!! I was hung up on, disconnected when the *** tried to "transfer" me and literally gas-lit for over an hour just trying to cancel service!!! Once I did get through, a nice lady said she took care of canceling my service. I even confirmed with her by asking 'is my service now canceled?' and she confirmed! I do NOT owe anything, matter of fact I'm probably the one who is OWED money for canceling early in the cycle! Nobody can ever get through to customer service and obviously when they finally do, service is NOT canceled as requested and supposedly confirmed! I want to make sure my account is closed and in good standing - meaning no money owed but I can't get ahold of customer service!!Waste Management

I made a call to the corporate office soon after this review was sent to the BBB as a *** of yours did reach out. HOWEVER, apparently the *** I spoke to didn't follow through as I've received 2 calls in the last 3 days claiming I have an overdue balance!! I called corporate again today 5/7/2025 and **** saw that I had already spoken with someone. He said he'd expedite my complaint. Why do I have to keep calling to get this straightened out!!?? My last payment of over $157 (for the next 3 months of service) was auto-debited from my bank account on January 10, 2025. I canceled service on March 6, 2025. What's the problem? Cancel the service retroactive to March 6, 2025, show in your records that I owe NOTHING, and STOP CALLING ME FOR A PAYMENT THAT'S NOT DUE! Then, you can post a good customer service number on your webpage so your customers can get ahold of someone, update your computer systems and TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO TAKE CARE OF ISSUES (LIKE CANCELING SERVICE) THE FIRST TIME! Horrible company to deal with. Called three separate times to cancel due to moving and no longer needing service. Was hung up on on two of the attempts to cancel. The final attempt was met with a rude customer service *** and found out they charge $75 to come out to pick up their garbage can. I would not recommend them for trash pickup.Waste Management

Just an awful company, didnt do what they said they would do after leaving a trash can in the middle of a busy street on a school morning. I have been calling and barely making contact since January when the incident happened.Waste Management

Waste Management charges $ 8. 50 for not setting up for autopayment which I wasn't aware when I took off autopayment. I had autopayment set up before but I had to pull it off due to payment hadn't been deducted from my bank account. So I had to pay manually with late fee. They should have some warning or information regarding this charge.Waste Management

Customer with WM since 2012 when the local company we had been using sold out to them. At that time, the quarterly bill was $58. By 2018, the cost had risen to $95. I called and was able to talk with someone (only after I chose the option of "moving" on the menu). She discouraged me from cancelling and also discouraged me from using any other local company by commenting on their unreliability. She gave me a lower price of $49 guaranteed for a year but by the next year it was back up to $58. With yearly price increases the cost by 2024 had gone up to $102. I cancelled them at the end of 2024, now using a local family owned service for about 2/3 the cost.Other than the cost, I experienced poor customer service. Sometimes ********************** and/or recycling wasn't picked up, without explanation. It was nearly impossible to find a phone number that led to customer support. When I did find a number and called, I would get a message saying they weren't open (even during regular hours of business). If I stayed on the line it would be dead air leading me to think I'd been disconnected so I would hang up. I finally stayed on the line, talked to a person who again cautioned me about cancelling and told me I could owe up to $75 for cart retrieval. He gave me a date to have the carts out for pick up, three weeks later I had to call them again to get the carts. In the end, after cancelling I was billed $42 and an additional $14 based on admin fees and solid waste tax. I only wish I would've had the good sense to cancel sooner. Barriers to contacting this company added an unnecessary level of difficulty to that end.Waste Management
