1 starThis company does not take care of its clients. I leased my solar system in 2014. I now have six solar panels that do not work and need to be replaced. Solar power has said it's just weather related. I have a picture of the solar array that clearly shows six panels not working. I have called numerous times to Spruce Power to no aval, jet I still have to pay my agreed leased amount. I would like the BBB to take whatever action they can to resolve this complaint. To potential new customers please do not go into business with Spruce Power. Thoroughly check the solar companies out before you agree to do business with them.Review fromFrances S

1 starSpruce Power is running the ultimate con. They buy agreements and decide what parts of written, signed contracts they will honor. I have a leak in my roof under the panels, my lease agreement with Level Solar in 2016 states it is a $400 charge. Spruce has decided it is a "perk" they are not obligated to honor despite the contract stating that when the account is sold all obligations agreed to must be honored. The uproar that happened when I suggested under their premise I no longer needed to pay them was something to behold.Review fromGary F

1 starAfter reading the attached reviews I find it hard to believe this company is still in business. It is apparent that Spruce Power’s employees are disengaged from their customers and each other. They lack emotional intelligence and empathy and are both disrespectful and insensitive in their communications. My brother died suddenly in 2023. Via his trust, he bequeathed his house to his church, and Spruce Power was notified immediately of this action with an explaination of the property transfer, and was given the name of the church, the contact person and their attorney. Since the property was bequeathed to the church there was no sale, escrow or agents involved in the transfer. For the next seven months, Spruce continued to send notices and letters addressed to my dead brother stating that the contract would remain in his name until the "sale" was complete. These communications took a terrible emotional toll on our family. The situation became so untenable that we found it necessary to engage an attorney who advised Spruce that the Trustee transferred the property to the church according to the requirements of the trust and that Spruce Power is hereby directed to cease and desist from all further communications (whether written or verbal) with the Trustee. Neither the trust owner nor his estate is responsible for the interaction with Spruce Power. You have already been provided with the name of the church and their attorney. The church is solely responsible for your concerns so please limit your communications to the church and their attorney. And please quit addressing emails to the previous home owner. You have been told 11 times that he is dead. Address your communications and emails to the church and their attorney. Spruces's next email was again addessed my deceased brother and demanded to know the escrow closing date, escrow agents and buyers name and address. Spruce had ignored all previous conference facts of the home ownership transfer.Review fromCheryl O

1 starThey don't deserve a rating at all!!! Well, we know why this company is not accredited. They are the worst company to do business with. I have 6 microinverters that are not working. They are under warranty so Enphase sent them to me. Spruce told me once get microinverters, to take a picture of shipping label and send to them and they will get them fixed. I did what they said back in September. Now its been 2 months and still waiting for Spruce to have their Service Provider, Novasource, come out and replace them. Of course Spruce is giving me the run around. They had the work order for them for site assessment. Said no....have 6 microinverters to be replace and you knew that. Why would you waste Novasource resources by sending them out to assess when we know there are 6 microinverters that need to be replaced. I despise this company so much! I am considering another solar company even though I have 15 years invested in these solar panels. What can we do to make this company do their job!!!!!!!!Review fromRosemary H

1 starI had my taxes done at HR block. I received a refund of 3400 bucks and did not have my check account with me and you got a refund in 10 days if you put it on this Spruce card. It has been sitting in that account since the beginning of the year. In the last three months someone used the card and spent 400 buck. I just noticed it and disputed it and they sided with scammers. Of course I closed the account with 400 bucks less. NEVER use the ** ***** Spruce refund card. What a joke.Review fromIlyse H

1 starI am beyond annoyed! This company can NEVER GET IT RIGHT. They reported me to the credit bureaus yet I WAS NEVER DELINQUENT. I spoke with a representative of the company who apparently no longer works for the company and this issue was to be removed from my reports yet it is still on my report. This is not the only issue I have with this company and I am not alone. This company is notorious for their billing issues and their lack of acknowledgment for their refusal to follow thru on the contracts signed! They are THE WORST ! I have never dealt with a company like this one. They are horrific. Stay far away from this company??Review fromJeffrey L

1 starWhy can't I leave zero stars? What a pathetic group. They take the money from the solar credits and do nothing for customers. Our system has been operating with 1 of the 2 inverters offline for almost a year. They didn't find it, I did. They were impossible to get out here to investigate the issue. Once they did they saw the offline inverter then took a month to get a replacement part. Now they are saying it will take 5 months to get credits back for the loss of generation. This company is pathetic and should be forced out of business. They are cheating the system. Taking solar credits and customer money but not providing the service they are contracted too. 'We can't monitor the inverters...' BS they totally can each one has an LTE connection ,they just aren't. They are doing as little as possible to make as much money as they can. Can't say how terrible this company is, the CEO should be arrested for fraud.Review fromKerry E

1 starI would love if someone at their company would address my billing issues. I have provided proof of payment several times, sent them spreadsheets, bank statements etc and they continue to threaten me and never look at the information I sent. They have tacked on late fees on invoices that were never sent. After finally getting all of the invoices and paying them the moment I get them, they continue to Harris’s me for non payment and late feesReview fromTerri J

1 starSPRUCE is the worst! It is impossible to get help despite multiple calls. My solar panels are paid off and have not been working properly for 3 years. They admit they are under producing and give a nominal refund check at the end of the year but it nowhere near covers the expense of the electric bill. I have had multiple calls and emails to get technicians out. I was told repair people are a 3rd party business and will contact me in a FEW WEEKS to set up an appointment. They either never contact you or show up once you have an appointment. When you call to report the issues, they simply put in another service request and make you wait another few weeks to be contacted. There is never resolution of the issue and you never get help from anyone. I am so frustrated with them, I am at a complete loss. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS
