I had surgery on 5/8/24. Christus required a partial payment upfront which I paid. Then I was billed for the balance. However, all claims with my insurance had not been processed so it did not show my deductible had been met. Therefore I paid more than I actually owed, including more than my out of pocket maximum. When I contacted them to get my refund they all of the sudden show an outstanding claim and it is their policy to not refund money when they have an outstanding claim. The problem with this is my insurance company does not show an outstanding claim. When I contact them I get canned answers and they act like its the first time Ive ever talked to them. Ive sent messages thru mychart, Ive called and NO ONE there is helpful. I was told in Dec they would have an account specialist look into it and it would take 45 days. I followed up after 45 days and was told they still didnt know anything. I contacted them multiple times after that to finally be told the claim was returned to them for corrections because they filed it incorrectly. When I follow up again I got another canned answer that it was with an account specialist and the claim was outstanding. I informed them AGAIN that my insurance company does not show an outstanding claim and was told the specialist would look into it. It has been a frustrating experience to say the least!Business Response

I had an endocrinology appointment with Dr. ****** ***** in *****, *****, Wednesday February 12, 2025, I took my Dexcom receiver with me as Dr. ***** had instructed me I would have to to continue to get my Dexcom supplies, even though I had a sharing code with Clarity through the hospital, well guess what happened? They didnt give me my Dexcom receiver back and I didnt realize it until that night, so the next day I text them and get no response, then that Friday the next day I called them and they told me that they gave it back to me so now Im without a Dexcom receiver because my doctor insisted I bring it, And by the way, my doctor wasnt even there her practitioner saw me and her practitioners assistant that Ive never seen before is the one that took my Dexcom receiver. They argued with me this morning that they gave it back and they absolutely did not, this is ridiculous. They only provide one of those every five years. I need my Dexcom receiver back but now it looks like Im just c*** out of luck because Christus simply says they gave it back when they didnt. I need help someone please thanks, ******* *****. ************Business Response

On 7-10-24 I paid $1,444.80 for a 7-15-24 DOS. I had employer based *************** and the *** showed I only owed $386.33. I have been requesting the overpayment since October. They are withholding the overpayment stating I have two subsequent claims pending. I have provided them with ***'s from my new insurance providers, (traditional ******** and supplement insurance with **** showing they have been processed and concluded but they continue to state the 9-6-24 claim is outstanding. Documents have been provided numerous times showing it not only has been concluded by the insurance carrier but I paid what was owed. They are now delaying payment again trying to state I have ******** Advantage with *****. I have never had this type of insurance. This last conversation took place on 2-11-24 with ******* thru My Chart.Customer Answer

I had a wonderful previous ** at Christus before, however, he left the hospital. So, I saw **. ****** as per recommendation from the hospital. I have Celiac antibodies and was supposed to go on a regular occasion to have blood work done. I was also have other medical issues that I spoke to **. ****** about. She did not answer my questions and sent me home with a cream. After, I was still have issues and contact them again. She then wanted me to get a colonoscopy and said that she did not feel comfortable treated me without it. I knew that that was not necessary and have found a different doctor that completely agrees with me and does not see any necessary signs that I would need that procedure. I spent a lot of time and money I did not really have to go see ** ****** and was mis-lead and un answered. I also was not at all screened for my celiac antibodies at all.Initial Complaint

********* failed to treat me and would not culture a wound on my head or even look at it. When I begged him he called me a ******** in front of all staff and patients. I am so sick right now. . He has anger management problems as he cant control his mouth. I wonder what the Sisters think about this man.its also bad for physicians to label patients without knowing there medical history. Its called slander and can lead to misdiagnosis. Ive been retaliated against and slandered. I had to find out from my PCP that the ** has labeled me which is slander and explains the lack of care after major falls breaking my arm. Posting video on all social media as Ive recorded every trip and phone call. The sisters will appreciate the *** Bych comment and the retaliation against me since then. Stay tuned for video on TikTok as Im devoting whole place to *****************. Ive been left to bleed to death in this hospital. I came in in severe back pain and migraine with paralysis and they failed to diagnose *********. They have almost killed ne but Im not putting up with slander and retaliation in the health care field not when its my life on the line . Ive tried calling the President of Christus but he is always too busy at lunch and untouchable. His hospital is trying to kill me. The videos are about to start being posted and the first one of a doctor lunging at me calling me a fckn btch is incomprehensible!!! No one especially a doctor should do that over a patient requesting culture of face. They are now slandering me and I have no other option than to show how the Christus Catholic hospital staff talk, scream and let you suffer and if that doesnt do the trick they start slandering youInitial Complaint

I scheduled a preventative care (Annual Physical) visit with **********. After the visit, the doctor refused to code me as annual physical visit. They insisted to code me as new patient visit since it was my first visit with them. My insurance covers 100% for annual physical visit if the clinic coded me as annual check-up. Now I am getting charged for regular doctor's visit. I did not have health concerns at all.The purpose of my visit was annual check-up. I only went to see the doctor because the insurance is paying for preventative care.Initial Complaint

This medical provider (Christus Good Shepherd Hospital in ********, **) has billed my insurance company for services they knowingly did not provide for my wife (*****************************) on 3/28/23. Specifically, they billed an outpatient procedure as having been done inpatient when it was most certainly done as an outpatient procedure. As a result, the insurance company did not fully pay because they did not approve the procedure for inpatient treatment. We are receiving harassing phone calls daily about a bill we do not owe (according to our insurance company). Christus has been notified of this error at least 10 times by multiple parties and has demonstrated no ability to correct their error. All attempts at having them review the bill, speak to a supervisor, get through to their auditing department have been met with continued frustration from their representatives and no action other than to continue the harassment.Business Response

I think you alerted the wrong Christus. Their response is correct. My complaint is against a Christus facility, which is what I thought I had indicated on my original complaint. Can you send my original complaint to the correct Christus contact (for facilities)?
