      I have had Moxie pest control for over three years and decided to also get the termite preventative services a few years ago. The annual termite service was due in July and I told the **************** that we were planning on moving and did not want the termite service which is a separate service. They came out to remove the Sentricon stations in June 29, 2024. I did not stop my pest control services however found out on August 7 when I called for warranty service that my account was closed since end of June. They closed my full account not just my termite services now they will not reinstate month-to-month because it has been over 30 days, I did not notice the payment didnt come out because I have it on auto payment. I was on the phone with a representative for over 30 minutes trying to reinstate month-to-month but the person kept saying the same thing over and over again that it is company policy that after 30 days they could not reinstate month-to-month. This is unacceptable since it is Moxies error in closing my account. We have lots of insects coming into our house in need the service, however cannot commit to another 12 months as we plan to move. The representative could not put me in touch or connect me with anyone with authority to override. This does not make sense to me that they would want to lose a customer, and not provide the solution to my problem, even though it was their error.

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution to wait for the review but want to keep this open until it has been resolved with reinstatement of my account month to month.

      I have been trying to cancel my service after fulfilling the initial one year contract. I was in contact with their customer service in June 2024 and was told I was no longer under contract and could just schedule additional services when we needed them. A week later I received an auto-schedule notification that the service agent I spoke to explicitly told me I would not be receiving anymore. I canceled the appointment, then received another email two weeks later. I called customer service and was told she could connect me with an agent who would "officially cancel", then 15 minutes later told me no one was available and she'd have them call. I did receive an email but it said I could not cancel without calling the provided number. The number does not work and goes to a recorded line that automatically hangs up. They do not respond to emails. I would like assistance making sure my account is completely deactivated, future services cancelled, and no more contact from the company.

      Hello, I have been with Moxie pest control for years. They have very bad customer service but I kept them due to cheaper package price. Today they sent their technician (*************************) to service. He didn't service but sent email that the service was done and charged my account. I was naturally ***et and reached out to CS support and requested a call back from the manager. **** (customer support manager) called but couldn't help. I requested escalation. A guy named **** called claiming that he's customer retention supervisor. He did not offer or even tried to resolve or explain anything but said I am going to proceed with closing your account. I told him many time that I don't approve of that but he hung up on my face. I need someone to put me in touch with one of the higher *** to resolve this issue. Thank you, ******

      On May 4th 2024 we hired Moxie Pest control to do preventive maintenance to our property. We were specifically told by the salesman that we would see "nothing" in regard to insect in our home after their treatment of the property. After our first treatment we noticed a significant uptick in the number of insects seen in our home. When we cancelled our contract with them they said that was fine. We all were just going to move on. This morning they charged our account in the amount of $444.80 and are calling it a cancellation fee. Consumer law dictates that a company can not charge an individual for a cancellation in the amount of more than what they accrued in damages. In this particular instance they did not accrue any damages and refused to disclose how they calculated any damages they may have incurred based on our cancellation. Moxie pest control is lying to their clients and violating consumer laws while they do it.

      In June 2024, I had a service done by Moxie although I told the representative I was really was not interested in changing. He stated I was able to cancel my service with no charge. When I called the representative it was told to me they would make note of the cancelation. Today, I received a text message they were now charging for a early bird cancelation. When I tried to resolve the issue the Account Manager refused to listen and state I would charged.

      I was solicited for pest control service by a sale rep from Moxie.Inquired if you could service ***** systems. She said yes certainly.proceeded to ask , you know thats a proprietary system and needs special equipment ?She said , Oh yes , we do it all time and have the equipment to service it. She added it to the service instructions on her tablet. Service wall voids I have come to find out , None of that is true. She let me sign a contract for services , you had no intentions or capabilities to provide.Moxie provided me with false information , which was the sole premise of my purchase.

      I was approached by Moxi pest control agent through a door knock offering pest control services (I reside in ********, and I am just being made aware that on 06/30/2024, BBB confirmed that Moxie Maryland had not obtained a necessary license from the ************** of ************* It was explained to me that they were offering a special for services as my neighbors use them. During the consultation, they expressed that I would be able to cancel service at any time if I was not satisfied with their service. After the service was completed, the issues were not resolved, so I tried reaching out to Moxie Pest Control about the issue and explained that I was not happy with the lackluster service. I didn't feel the technicians were thorough. They were not helpful when I called and kept telling me I had to keep the service. Even if it weren't up to par, they would continue to send people out. When I explained that I would prefer not to continue with their service because the issues still existed, they said I had to pay $500 to cancel even though I had only had the initial consultation and no follow-up services. I spoke to ***** and another manager in Dallas named *******, **************************** The last individual was very unprofessional when I asked to speak to another manager or representative. He said his boss wouldn't accept calls or emails when I asked for the corporate headquarters email, which I also refused. He said they do not care how the customers feel about their service or whether it's done correctly or not. We are still required to pay for services. Usually, people are able to contact and speak with someone inside the company who cares about customer service concerns and their lack of services, but this company would not allow that. I mentioned I would reach out to the BBB, but they did not care. Considering they are not licensed in ********, I may have to find a way to challenge the charges made.

      Account number ****************************** is a scam. I signed up for quarterly service, cancel anytime according to the tech. I was shown the contract on the techs data pad, which was too small for me to read. He gave me the price per visit which was ok with me, but he hid the fact that they charge over 200 to cancel, which contradicts his cancel anytime comment. They are showing a balance of 335$ on my account, nearly all of it being this fee. I told them if they remove this dishonest fee then I will pay for my last visit. They refused and threatened to turn me into collections. These people are dirty and expect payment for 2 more visits they didn't even do. They don't disclose this to you when they come. Anyone who reads this do not hire these scammers. There are plenty more to choose from who don't operate this way. I know as a business owner who routinely hires pest control for multiple properties. Even though I offer repeat business and referrals this company still scammed me. Any company that cares about about a quick 206$ more than a long term customer is not a real business. They need to operate dishonestly in order to stay afloat it seems. Don't give them your money. I want this company to remove this junk fee they failed to inform me of and then I will pay the rest due. Otherwise nothing.

      Company is harassing and putting my account in collections due to me not paying money they first told me I didnt owe . Now all of a sudden I owe them . After they falsely advertised and lied about there services . They told me they would contact me before performing services on my home . They did not .and they also wasnt supposed to tell me that they would come either . They lies to get a sale. They have texted and called me past business hours to know why I canceled my account. They proceeded to call me every other day and hang up when I answer . And now when I finally talk to some one I owe them 170$ when I was originally told my account is canceled and I owe nothing ! This company is a complete scams and just want to take your money . I refuse to pay that money for services I didnt approve of !
