Love this place! So close to being able to see our baby boy. The midwives are very attentive and respond in a timely manner. They answer all questions and concerns and dont hold anything back. The biggest thing is the financial peace behind it. With insurance, you only pay the deductible and you have until you are 36 weeks to pay off that balance. They also work with you so much.

Thank you so much! It's our honor to walk alongside you as you welcome your little boy! We can't wait to meet him!

They pay their clients to post positive reviews! I labored for 60 hours and was transferred to the hospital. I was septic (which can lead to tissue damage, organ failure and death), diagnosed with chorioamnionitis (which can lead to pneumonia, meningitis, brain damage or death of the baby), dehydrated and a slew of other issues. Of the women I met prior to labor 73% of them were transferred to the hospital. Another mom who was a patient at Origins before me said that 82% of her class were transferred. These are not the numbers that Origins will give you when you tour. They continuously cancelled my appointments through the first half of my pregnancy. Don't be fooled by the pretty IG pictures, it is literally a house of horrors. They will tell you that it's unlikely anyone else will be giving birth at the same time. I listened to 3 other women labor while I was there. The midwives were spread thin tending to a total of 4 laboring mothers while I was in care, but they had plenty of time to chart about where my husband was and what he was doing the entire time I was in labor. The birth center is ill equipped. The dryer doesn't work. The ice maker doesn't even make enough ice for 1 mother much less 3 mothers and the staff. The cleaning service is one of their teenage daughters. They never checked on me after the baby was born (this is common for mother's that are transferred). When I called to see when the post partum nurse would come see us they said it wasn't necessary. They just want your money for the least amount of work possible. When ******* called to discuss my terrible experience her solution was to give me a free IV and to get me back in to have my herbal bath. I told her I wouldn't be caught dead back in that house. Again, they only care about your money. They did also include my son in their yearly review post on IG. He is not an Origin's baby. Luckily, my baby and I are alive and well, but that isnt the case for everyone in care with Origins.

This birthing center has a pattern of dropping moms late in pregnancy after their time has run out to get any refund at all, paying two times for the birth of their kids. Origins offers a discount if you pay by a certain week, we paid and were forced to leave their care with a perfectly healthy baby, only issuewas flipped breech. During the same visit they were quick to tell me that I needed to transfer care because she was breech or they can could do an EVC. Very quick to send me out of their care with no empathy for the financial matter we were about to put ourselves in considering we paid them for the birth of our daughter yet never even labored one second in their facility. Their contract is vague when it comes to the refund policy. They tell you their transfer rate which only includes moms transferred during labor, not prior to. 5 out of the 7 women in my class were transferred out of care after paying origins, one class 8 out of 11 were transferred prior. The amount of money this center has made off of parents who didnt deliver at their center is probably just as much if not more than moms who actually get to have their babies there. Their practices are very unorganized, I would be scheduled to meet with one midwife and they always switched come the day of, my labs were lost a couple times, you call up there and they never seemed to be able to answer my questions. The midwife turnover is very frequent, after talking to a couple midwives that no longer work there, they have left for reasons pertaining to the way they run their business and practices. Very unprofessional and gives birthing centers a horrible reputation.

When I started care here, the contract was very suspicious, requesting a large sum of money upfront. The contract is so vague in regards to how to get your money back if you dont continue care after 33 weeks. After leaving due to medical issues, Ive been in contact since December 2022. My baby was born January 2023 and it is now mid July 2023. Ive emailed back and forth and called for our partial refund for not continuing care for the last 6 months and the person on the other end of the email seems to need to get with the financial advisor its the same email i received every time I contact them. Do not do business with this company. They do not care for your well being as a pregnant mother. In fact they tried their best to have me continue care even though it was not in my best interest due to gestational diabetes. There is no counciling offered if you are diagnosed with such issue. They kept asking me to stay a few more weeks I assumed they wanted me to stay past a certain date so I could not get my partial refund. So many women end up transferring care to a hospital due to negligence of seeing issues prior to delivery to make sure they keep their money- and the patient ends up paying hospital bills in addition to fully paying for a labor and delivery at their facility. They request 500$ in cash for the assistant during the birth which in itself is sketchy considering it cannot be claimed on taxes. Save yourself time, peace of mind and safety by looking for another birth center with a clear contract or a facility that is natural birth friendly if thats what youre looking for.
