      The gym is pretty to the eyes, but their contracts are purposely deceptive, just like their business practices. Force them to show you everything, line by line, before signing. They don't like that. Truly, buyer beware.

      I have been a member of two Trufits in *******, **. After using the gym on 4th street for over a year, I transferred to 34th street for my final year of school. In the middle of May I sat down and cancelled my membership, and was told I would be charged one last time since my payment fell into a 30-day window. After being charged in July, I called Trufit multiple times and received no answer. After being charged in August, I called again and someone actually answered my call. After explaining my situation, he told me that I had "notes" on my account that said my account should've already been cancelled, and that their "OM" would get in contact with me to cancel my account and refund me for those wrong charges. On September 1st, I was charged upwards of $50 which I assume is the yearly charge. I did not renew for another year, so this charge would is also wrong. I then called Trufit multiple times and I received no answer (in fact, I cannot even leave a voicemail). I cannot recall a time that someone was not at the front desk or in their office areas so I am assuming that my calls are being screened on purpose. Now, at my **** end, I have called my bank and asked them to block further charges. I have also filed a dispute and was told their investigation team would look into this. Ex-employees, who I consider my friends, have told me that the company culture is very misleading. An example would be when people who wanted to cancel their membership would be persuaded to "freeze" their account. Another ex-employee described Trufit as feeling like a "pyramid scheme".To conclude, do NOT get a membership at ANY Trufit club. From my experience, their business involves taking advantage of college students across the **************. I can only assume upper-management instructs mangers of each branch to do their business like this.

      Trufit took advantage of my Autistic sister. This gym shouldn't even get a 1 star review, mind you not all of the employees are bad but most of the managers and fitness managers are just worthless. They refused to help us when my little sister who's autistic was being charged 135 for an upgraded personal training session.. but we all cancelled our memberships before this "upgrade" they also refused to give us a copy of my sisters cancellation form and now their stating she never cancelled her membership. They are complete trash and are refusing to refund the money their taking out. We felt like they took advantage of my sister because of her disabilities, the form they had her fill out wasn't even explained to her she thought the form apart of all of us cancelling but apparently this form was for an upgrade. This just happened on Friday and we have to wait until Monday to contact corporate and go back to the gym to keep demanding a refund along with copies of our paperwork.

      This place is a total scam!!! I paid for a membership for my daughter to work out . They said it would be $10 a month. They then charged me $99, I called an they said it was a one time administration fee. They then charge it again a year later. My daughter signed up for a personal trainer. She said she would pay for it. They charged my account $155 twice! Even after my daughter said the trainer quite and she asked them stop taking the money out. I also called up there and spoke to personnel they told me to send an email which I did which they have not responded to in this morning they took out another $169 out of my account. I've had to pay my bank stop payment fees for this Tru Fit scam to quit taking money out of my account. I have no idea how people get rate this place anything but an absolute zero

      I signed up with tru fit in 2021 completed my contact with them and i was charged a cancellation fee . The paper i signed said if you signed up before a certain time you don't need to pay any cancellation fee. I can't remember the date but i told the lady well why do i have to pay if I signed up before that date why do i need to pay the fee. I was on a lunch break so I didn't have time to speak to a manager. Asked if there was a chance she can give me a call so i can better understand the fee I'm going to be charged. No one called i was still charged the fee. I know i wont get my money back if i can't even get in touch with anyone. Just fair warning regardless they will get money off you even after you finish a contract with them.

      They promote a free cancellation notice for 30 days but in order to cancel I had to put in a 45 day notice to avoid a 49 dollar fee. Woke up this morning to an "annual" fee that was never disclosed to me. Called the gym to get a refund since I had put in a cancellation notice on May 25th of this year and was told that i'm responsible for the annual fee even though I won't be there for the rest of the year since I canceled my membership? How does it make since to charge a yearly fee for a membership I got two months ago?? So basically I'm paying a yearly fee for 9 months I won't be there for, how does that make sense.

      Had 2 memberships with Freedom Fitness that was then bought out by TruFit. Cancelled both in May 2020 due to no enforcement of mask wearing inside the gyms, and due to moving out of town. Followed listed instructions for cancellation requests by submitting it in writing to the 19th Street location, was given print out of approved cancellation for both accounts. Then in October 2021 (15 months after cancelling both memberships, having never returned to any TruFit location anywhere), started charging our credit credit card again without any communication or notification to us. Disputed this with the credit card company and cancelled that credit card entirely, but TruFit continue to harass us multiple times a week with phone calls and emails about billing issues/overdue account. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS GYM, even if it isn't a contract. If they so much as have your 1 way to contact you, they WILL harass you until you change your phone numbers and email address.

      Big shout out for Angie ******* Trufit Trenton and McColl. Angie has great customer service. I approached her about a stepper that wasn't working, my preference for cardio. The following week, Angie, didn't forget me. She approached me to let me know it had been fixed. Great customer service I was impressed by her follow up. Thank you Angie *******
