      All I wanted to do was change my address. I got some strange answer that my mother still owns my policy. She called at least 20x trying to transfer it over to my name. Now neither one of us can get ahold of a representative. My online account is disactivated. I'm being told that my account is past due but why would I pay money for something I can't even verify is real? Why can't I get an agent on the phone? Why can't I access my account? Where's all the money that I've been paying for insurance for the past 20 years?I want to transfer the life insurance policy to a different, less scammy company.

      I signed up for Globe Life insurance while I was changing from one job to another. I have since acquired life insurance through my employer. I have tried multiple times to cancel my policy through this company but they keep pulling the premium from my bank account.

      In June 2024 my grandma and grandpa didnt want to pay for the policy anymore and gave me the option to transfer the $10,000 insurance policy to me. So I decided to take it on. I reached out to the company via phone to initiate the transfer and change the beneficiary from my Grandpa to my parents and ***** the mailing address from my grandpas address to my parents address. And the person over the phone said she would do that and send a copy of the policy, as well as a change of beneficiary form in the mail. when I received a copy of the policy in the mail with the supposed updated address; it was spelled wrong and had the incorrect number and incorrect coverage amount ($5000, instead of $10,000). I later received the change of beneficiary form that my grandma recieved and forwarded to me. I completed that and the company acknowledged the changes were now made. They also still had my grandpas phone number as the contact information instead of my phone number which we had discussed over the phone as well. Each call I made to them there was either a new mistake made by them or they werent understanding and didnt know what they were talking about or what I was talking about. Because the phone was clearly not a good form of communication with them, I emailed them. I got one response and then no responses after that, even when I tried canceling my policy with them (because their service and communication is irreparably bad). I just paid for the policy, but the company is a nightmare/headache to deal with. Their customer service phone line is a nightmare and they wont answer me via email, so I just want to be done with them but they wont answer my email to cancel my policy and get a refund.**And I have Photos of the emails/my attempts to contact I didnt want to upload them here because they have my personal information and I dont know if those photos will be public; please reach out if you need those photos and/or if they wont be public.

      in the company's response dated September 10th 2024, they said "On August 28, 2024 (Wednesday), Customer
      Service responded to Ms. ****** advising her that refund requests must be made in writing, which is
      Company procedure." that is incorrect: I have not received any emails from customer service answering my question on how to cancel my policy and get a refund. Today, I have reached out the the email given on that same response letter that said to be contacted directly for any further questions (***************************************************************) and said, "Hey, this is ******* ****** from the BBB complaint,
      I know you asked customer service to cancel my policy immediately, can you please give me a confirmation of of the canceled policy when it is cancelled?" after receiving that confirmation of cancelation I will be satisfied.  

       

      I have also received a letter from this company last week, after filing this complaint, confirming that the company had transferred the policy to my name. I will have to get those letters I received last week from the company and upload them tomorrow.

      This company refused to pay my husband's death benefits claiming he lied on his application which he did not I have witnesses when he was made aware of the disease and he wasn't told until after he already taken out the policy. They have no right to accuse a dead man of lying to obtain money he cannot defend himself and. He is dead so money can't benefit him . I am upset my whole life is upside down. His death certificate states natural death.

      I am rejecting this response because:   jimmy was not aware of a diagnosis of COPD when he filed for coverage he answered each question to the best of his knowledge the Dr did not tell him he had COPD until well after he bought the policy. Globe life then says he did this intentionally which he did not. Advanced COPD was not diagnosed until after 16 pneumonias and COVID his cause of death was natural cause. Therefore if any one takes a policy with this company and like jimmy isn't aware they have a disease they are just out right.  Witnesses were present when the Dr and the  specialist told him after he obtained the policy  that is the point jimmy did not know anything about COPD diagnosis.  We trusted this company and did not seek other companies because of their tactics the question ask by the company was "to the best of your knowledge" he answered to the best of his knowledge so I am not satisfied with the decision other people need to be careful of this company.  I will continue to seek his death benefits and if unsuccessful at resolving this matter I will continue to accept other actions and pathways to prove my husband did not falsely give information intentionally but in fact gave to the best of his knowledge the truth.  His only mistake was trusting globe life and their representatives.

      I am rejecting this response because:   the company continues to deny the fact jimmy had not been made aware of the diagnosis the Dr had not physically tod him nor explained the diagnosis the Dr stated on the death certificate jimmy died of natural causes. He had been hospitalized for a year excluding maybe 4 weeks for reoccurring pneumonia due to bacterial infections that was not actually found for 4 months after the pneumonias and COVID  he declined but it was not because of COPD he wasn't aware no Dr told him of that diagnosis until after he obtained the policy

      My complaint is a both Globe Life Insurance. This company is very aggressive. I made an inquiry about life insurance about a month ago. I have received no fewer than 5 mailings about life insurance and more than 10 phone calls about their products. This is way too much and has disrupted both meetings and work times. I let the agent know I didnt want to work with them because I was looking for whole life insurance. Not term life. They offered me a Zoom meeting today at 10 am with their top agent in **. The agent called me 45 minutes before the meeting saying we can have a Zoom meeting now. It is Saturday morning and I should not be disturbed about a meeting I already have an appointment for. The agent ********************* (License #: ******* Agent #: ******************************** very pushy. Once I let him know that I would not be starting my meeting now. And based on my experience with the company I do not think its a good fit, he was very rude and said I didnt want it anyway. He hung up on me. I actually have my life insurance license as well. I know that customer service is apart of the job. These tactics make me very concerned about the manner in which they are operating in ********.

      I decided to complete an online life insurance quote with Globe Life and I regret it. The company has been sending me several letters in the mail every week despite me asking them to stop spamming my mailbox with unwanted mail. On average I get 2-4 letters from them weekly. I am also OPTED OUT on the DMAChoice and DirectMail.com lists.

      Rest assured, I will never put my email or home address on another Globe inquiry or quote again. But it really is a shame how you spam and take advantage of people who have no idea they are being put on multiple mailing lists. Its unethical and catches a lot of people of guard. Please note that I am on multiple Do Not Mail lists, so even if I do complete a quote, you should not be mailing me anything.

      Please confirm that I am on the *** Choice, Opt Out Screen, and DirectMail.com/National Do Not Mail List. I hope your marketing department subscribes to all three of those services.

      I have requested in writing for the company to desist all marketing solicitation for me to come back, or to increase and purchase additional life insurance for any other grand children.I sent a letter to the company a year ago, to remove my name from their mailing list that is addressed to me for the purpose of marketing. I sent another letter on 7-14-2024 addressed to Globe Life Center P.O. Box ****** *************************** to remove my name from their solicitation mailing list, and I requested that my personal information including data, not to be shared, given away, or sold to any of their partners, subsidiaries, businesses, or parties. I have received advertisements to reapply for insurance for myself and to apply for additional insurance for my grand children or insurance for other grandchildren.I have declined. I currently have two active Whole Life policies with Globe Life for my two grandchildren. Their policies I will keep.I want the directed advertisements to me to cease.I had canceled my personal Term Life insurance policy with them, I had applied for Whole Life, and was told by the company that the underwriters had the right to change my request, and therefore I was given a Term policy of which I was not aware of, that I was paying for a Term Life policy when I applied, therefore, I canceled my policy with them in 2023.

      I requested for a refund for the policy 0047F6109, As I did not apply for term life which the policy was as I was informed that the underwriters had the right to change. I had applied for a Whole Life policy for the policy 0047F6109, but was given a term policy instead without my knowledge.

      I want all monies refunded to me for the policy 0047F6109 please.

      I also want the telephone number ************ removed from my grand children's Whole Life policy accounts.

      I update the removal of the terminated phone number ************  information to Globe Life on the forms for payment, year 2023, a verbal request with representatives in the year of 2023, and letter sent 2023 with payments for my grandchildren.

      The only mail that should be sent to my P.O. Box ******, which are addresses to me for my grandchildren are ********************************** and *****************************, in the format of paper billing only. I have not opted for paperless billing or automatic payment. 

      I have no other users of my P.O.Box, therefore mail that is not addressed to me, for care of my grandchildren, Please do not send other persons mail to my P.O.Box whom I have not listed as a authorized user.

      I disagree with Globe Life response. 

      The account was a Whole Life account, I was told by a Globe Life representative that my account was no longer a Whole Life account, and was changed by Globe Life underwriters to a Term Life policy, which I was not made aware of. I therefore informed Globe Life to cancel the policy immediately and I wanted all my funds returned.

      Globe Life needs to be investigated for performing policy action changes to consumer policies without notice, and consent by the consumer.

       

      As a consumer purchasing a life insurance policy, I should have the right, to have notification, and the opportunity to keep, or cancel any the policy that Globe Life underwriters make, and to be refunded money if I choose not to keep the changed policy from Whole Life that carries cash value, that underwriters changed to term that has no cash value for the insured.

       

      The legal choice was my request for a Whole Life policy, of which Globe Life performed a consumer medical inquiry about my health and inquiry to the pharmacies about my medication through and by Globe Life third party consumer checking agencies the company uses.

       

      I want all my money refunded $1,031.18.

      I want to be contacted by a supervisor at BBB. The BBB Response Portal is not working, and every code pertaining to login with the code to access the portal so that I can read the company's response, does not allow access. The web response portal, has gray-shaded the area that has me listed as a business of which, I am not. My account email is registered with BBB regarding ID ********, and when I try to login using my email option, I am getting a response from your site stating that my email is invalid and cannot be found, but if my email is invalid, and not registered with BBB, how is it that I am able to receive your messages sent directly to my email as registered with BBB as referenced above? I have tried to respond and read Globe Life's response to me since October 2024 using the BBB response portal with no success. This delay can be misconstrued by BBB and Globe Life, that I am not compliant and unwilling to communicate to resolve this matter. What other recommendations do you BBB have for me to access the responses from Globe Life that you are in possession of.

      Globe Life Accidental and Life Insurance Company, has not addressed why they changed my Whole Life Policy of which I originally applied for. The whole Life policy was changed by their underwriters to a Term Life policy of which, I was never made aware of, by a letter from the company regarding this change, nor did I ever receive a phone call by Globe Life Accidental and Life Insurance Company or their underwriters. Globe Life consulted with a consumer reporting agency to perform a credit check, and a consumer check regarding any and all medications, and information regarding my overall health. I want my money refunded for the total cost I paid the company for changing my whole life policy without notice to me to a Term Life which has no value to it. All of my insurances with Globe Life have been Whole Life, including a past Whole Life policy 00-20M1288 ***** E ********. $20.000. I should have been notified of this change and given the option to accept the policy or cancel it. This is an unfair business practice towards a senior consumer. Our income is limited we do not have money to give away. I want Globe Life to refund the money for the policy 00-47F6109, that I thought was Whole Life.

      There is no PDF to view as suggested from Globe Life, Assistant General Counsel. My request for the refund for my original Whole Life Policy as paid for monthly, to Globe Life. Without notice to me, Globe Life underwriters changed my Whole Life policy to a Term policy. Globe Life legal Counsel should have ensured me the consumer the option to accept, or cancel the changed policy by their underwriters. My rights of notice of this policy change was never granted.

      The resolution to address from this date forward refund for payment of 1,043.00.

      I applied for a Whole Life policy. Globe Life underwriters failed to notify me of this change, as a paying consumer for a good, I have the legal right to be notified and given the opportunity to accept the change or cancel the policy and the right to a refund of funds paid. I was never given this constitutional right. I want to be refunded the full amount paid on the policy in question.

      I do not need a review of the active two policies that are for my grandchildren.

      It seems that there was a world wide computer glitch that friday that affected many businesses computer systems, operating systems. I may havew jumped the gun so to speak that day. I was freaking out about my policy. I am so sorry. On tuesday I was able to pay for my policy and rectify the situation. Although no one ever spoke of the outage. Highly unusual.  I thank  God that there is a place that we the public can come to handle such events. Thank you.
