AIL have been overdrafting from my account for months. In addition they took a loan against my older policies for premiums claiming they weren't paid. As well as providing a partial refund that was substantially low in comparison to the near $500 they had taken from me by that time. I have been attempting to resolve this for months. Escalation doesn't exist and my agent to contact claims there is a staff shortage and he can't reach anyone in billing. I have been doing business with AIL nearly 10 years and in October I decided to add accidental coverage for my family. I don't have those policies and recently they have threatened to cancel my already existing policies due to their error. Forcing me to pay an additional nearly $100, causing me to feel extorted at this point. I haven't received a response since March, when you call management isn't available or the systems are always down.

We had a very unpleasant experience with AIL. Heres why:- First of all, we never contacted or asked to be contacted by this company. It appears the only reason why they had our information was because my wife was listed as one of her cousins backup beneficiaries.- They called me about 5 times while I was at work, and each time, the representative was looking for my wife and each time, I would give the rep my wifes phone number. It appeared to be a different rep each time and no one ever seemed to pass on the information. Finally, *** called me on a weekend and I was able to hand the phone to my wife to schedule a virtual appointment.- Art seemed very busy and wanted to make sure we set a time that both my wife and me could be there. My wife received a phone call prior to the appointment just to remind her not to be late. We felt the pressure to make sure we were there on time. BUT even though we were on time, *** was actually not able to show up at all, and we had to wait maybe 20 mins for another representative to fill in.- During the time we were waiting, we still did not know what the meeting was really about or why it seemed the company wanted so desperately to get a hold of us. This shadiness is so unattractive to us, especially since, come to find out, we were waiting for a sales pitch.- I received a text message the following week asking to complete a survey. Again, this was sent to my phone number but addressed to my wife, not me.- Also in the text message, they misspelt my wifes name as (****** instead of *******). I also remember them asking for ****** in the phone calls. And in all of the emails they sent my wife about the appointment, her name was always misspelled. We find this carelessly unprofessional. If this company cannot spell my wifes name correctly, how could we trust it with our insurance policy? If this company cannot contact my wife using her phone number, how can we trust it to contact the right beneficiaries in the future?
