Rating this company with a 1 because I cant give them a 0. Despite trying to cancel a policy I dont want to have repeatedly they continue to charge my bank account. Im faced with having to change my bank account or my bank to stop this. I would advise that no one do business with them. On top of expressing my want to cancel my policy with them I cant get them to stop bothering me with constant phone calls. All I do is waste my time trying to get this company to leave me alone. Couldnt even take no for an answer while on with their customer service line trying to cancel. If I wanted to keep my policy active then I wouldnt be saying I want to cancel. I am so discomposed with AIL As a company, it has been extreme disappointed with the turnaround of my request upon my policy, which I placed on June 20, 2024 and today is now July 11, 2024 Despite Being promised 3 to 5 business day turnaround I have experienced nothing but delays and poor communication. My application has been pending for weeks without any clear updates or explanations, causing stress and inconvenience. The lack of transparency and professionalism in handling my policy that I have held for years!!!! This company has left me frustrated and dissatisfied. I would not recommend AIL service to anyone For it has left me feeling that my life insurance policy for myself and family could be in the hands of a fraudulent CompanyReview from Miranda M

I didn't even deal with them directly, a family member did and gave them my phone number. I really wish they wouldn't have. They called over and over and over, they left a voicemail, they texted me, and then again, called and called all in one day on a saturday of a holiday weekend. I finally blocked the call. They just used a different phone number and called me over and over and over the following week. I finally answered told them I wasn't interested and then blocked the new number they tried calling me from. I cannot believe it's even legal to do that. Complete and utter harassment. They should call once, leave a voicemail and then if I am interested I will reach out. You don't proceed to harass people about making a will kit over and over on a saturday of a holiday weekend and certainly not over and over again during the week days as late as 8PM. If you call once and don't get an answer, don't keep calling! Take the hint! I block that number, take the hint!! It's like dealing with a psychotic ex-boyfriend! Because of this behavior, when I consider making a will I will NOT be calling them. Absolutely ridiculous!!!Review from Katelyn F

I would leave 0 stars if it let me. I have received countless texts and phone calls to interview for a job I never applied for. This is horrible business practice and is untrustworthy since they are paying a 3rd party for information on people without consent. This an invasion of privacy and security. How can you sell insurance to people when you are just going to sell there private information? Anyone reading this, no authentic insurance company should be selling your personal information or paying for it.Review from Kerri L

Worst customer service ever. They called me to make an appointment to talk about my coverage, yet when the appointment time came I was never actually called. I was rebooked 11 times, then to the point I asked for a mangers number. Got Elle's phone number, she is just as hard to reach - her phone goes right to voicemail and you can't even leave a message. Tried calling the *************** once again going to voicemail and never called back. If I can't reach anyone now, even when they wanted to talk to me, how was anyone going to reach them if we really needed them. I have come to terms that we may pay a little more for insurance now, but I need someone I can actually get ahold of, and calls when they say there going to. So upset by there service, and offered no help by there manager -- she just sent me termination papers. I am frustrated by AIL marketing practices and their refusal to place me on the company's Do Not Call list. Despite repeated requests, I continue to receive unsolicited marketing calls and texts from their agents.These communications are not only intrusive but also disruptive, as I have received repeated calls within a minute from the same number. I have clearly expressed my desire to opt-out of receiving such calls and texts, yet they persist.According to federal regulations and ethical business practices, it is mandatory for companies to honor customer requests to be added to a Do Not Call list. I do not understand why they persist when I had a "no-cost" one year policy that I refused to renew. It baffles me that they go to such lengths when there is zero payoff for them.Never entertain any meetings or calls with this company.American Income Life Insurance Company Response

If you decide to go into the insurance industry, steer clear of this organization. There are much better reputable companies or agencies out there. The leaders are allowed to yell and cuss at you. Shame you in front of people. They do shady business and lie about the products being sold. They allow you to do illegal business like write in states that you're not licensed in. They expect you to hit certain goals with leads that are 5 and sometimes 10 years old. You also have to recruit to get promoted and once you get promoted you have to pay a $250 fee every month for "recruiting fees." You have to try and fix business that falls off the books yourself, and then when you have chargebacks they take half of your check until it's paid. So usually even when you sale a lot you don't make much. There is A LOT of drama and negativity and when I new person comes on, if they are not the kind of person they like they won't even give them a chance. Policies seem promising and they pride themselves on immediate payouts. The problem is if you have a change in your life and need to cancel your policy they take forever to pay out the balance accrued. I've been waiting over 3 months and I'm still waiting. I canceled due to some financial troubles and they seemed to understand, now if I call I get an attitude and they hang up on me.American Income Life Insurance Company Response
