On March 8th, 2024 I purchased an 07 tahoe gold in color from ************************* on ******** and signed for it in a home of i believe to be *********************. I did sign an as is paper but the rest of this will void that paper. It was raining the day I went and looked at the vehicle which was on the 6th. ****** told me if anything goes wrong with the vehicle bring it back and i will fix it for you or have my mechanic look at it and fix it. My issue is after purchasing the vehicle I had to send it back in which they had it for a week to fix a tail light, shift selinoid, install a seat belt, and make it to where the drivers seat would move forward and backward. Upon picking up the vehicle, and I also have screenshots, ****** told me if their "fix" for the transmission didn't work to let him know and he would rebuild or replace the transmission. Well the transmission went out about a week ago and I have been trying to contact them ever since with no luck. This vehicle is from out of state and the title was also washed and appears to be a clean blue title when it has been severely wrecked and should be a rebuilt salvage which is completely against the law. I either need the transmission fixed, my money back, or to switch me to a different vehicle. I have a 2 year old child and am also pregnant. Please make this right or the next step is court.

When this vehicle was purchased it was understood that the vehicle is "As is". Documentation was provided to the customer and even as a sign of good faith a AAA membership was provided at no additional cost. What **************** said about bringing back the vehicle is true and in good faith repairs were made to keep the customer satisfied even though an "AS Is" document was signed. As far as the vehicle being from out of town that is also true. When vehicles are purchased in an auction Dealers do not know where the vehicle may have been registered. I have attached the title before being transfer to show that this vehicle shows a clean title. After purchase that information is made available to us. Dealers are not allowed to change the condition of a Vehicle. If a vehicle is titled "salvage" that is what it is. If a vehicle has a "clean" title that is all handled by the state not the dealer. As dealers we are aware things may happen once a vehicle is sold, that is why that documentation is signed stating there is no warranty implied. To hold a dealer responsible for every issue that a used car would have after purchase that dealer would have offered an extended warranty of some sort. Even then the issue would have to be resolved with the warranty company and the customer not the dealer.

I am rejecting this response because:
This vehicle was not built back to safety standards and was extremely unsafe as there was no support at all in the entire front end of the vehicle. This was proven to the txdps office and they found that m&k motorsports violated the laws in which they protect. This vehicle was salvage and unsafe for my family and I. The front end was held together with zip ties, had no working seatbelts even after they claimed to have installed them, no support behind the motor so if it had been wrecked again the motor would have been in the back seat with my 2 yr old son.

    Regards,

We did not rebuilt any vehicle. When a vehicle is rebuilt documentation of that work has to be provided to the state. Get back in touch with ****** and let's get this situation resolved.
