A guy came out and initially installed the wrong door knobs, he had to come back and do it again. Then he charged us via apple pay, zelle, venmo or ****** when the website clearly stated that it takes card as well. He was not budging. Also need to mention that the front door keypad was working fine until after he was done changing the lock on it and now it doesn't work. He would not leave until he was paid with the methods he wanted.1st Class Locksmith Response

My 17yo daughter locked herself out of the truck today, attempting to be a grown up she called a locksmith. Her dad had told her what reasonable prices are ($60-$80) so when the guy informed my 17yo daughter that she owed $430, she didnt know what to do and freaked, pulling out of the Christmas stash. My concern is that A.)she is now funny aware of cash transactions, getting a name and calling Dad 1st is the only way! B.)they took a picture of her ID should I speak to my local police?! I have been researching locksmiths to replace existing locks with digital door locks. 1st Class Locksmith was one of the companies I called to get an estimate. I was told by person answering the phone they would have a technician call me. Technician called to say he was by my house and would stop by to check out the existing/replacement locks. I was taken aback. I was expecting him to quote estimate over the phone. However, since he was by the house I agreed for him to stop by. He checked the locks and gave me a quote. I told him I was still researching companies and would get back to company. He then became rude and belligerent and said he would not come back for the amount quoted if I didnt allow him to do the job then and there! Im regretting this individual coming into my home. How has this company remained in business for, supposedly, 37 yrs? I will NEVER use this company for any work and will strongly advise friends and colleagues who may be looking for this service to not give them any consideration.1st Class Locksmith Response

If I could give zero stars, I would. This so-called locksmith service is nothing short of a scam. I found myself locked out of my car, which is already a stressful situation, only to have it made infinitely worse by these crooks. What shouldve been a relatively simple service unlocking my car turned into a financial nightmare when they handed me a bill for $508.00! Yes, you read that right.From the start, their customer service was dodgy. I called to inquire about the price, and they gave me some vague response about how pricing "depends on the job." Little did I know, that was just the beginning of their deceit. When the so-called locksmith arrived, he worked on my car for less than 10 minutes and then handed me the outrageous bill. I thought I misheard him at first. $508.00?! For WHAT? There was no advanced warning of the cost, no breakdown of fees, just a demand for payment right then and there. It felt like I was being extorted in my own driveway.When I questioned the price, I was met with a string of excuses: Oh, this is a standard rate for emergencies, Its after hours, This car is harder to unlock. Give me a break! Theres nothing standard about charging someone an arm and a leg for such a simple task. Other locksmiths I called afterward were appalled when I told them how much I was charged. I honestly feel like I was targeted because of my vulnerable situation locked out, desperate, and needing immediate ******* make matters worse, when I asked for an itemized receipt, the locksmith acted irritated, as if my request was unreasonable. And now, I'm left fighting with them to get any sort of refund, but of course, theyre nowhere to be found. They take your money and disappear, leaving you helpless.Stay FAR AWAY from this scam of a company. They are dishonest, predatory, and have no qualms about taking advantage of people in emergencies.
