06/13/2023. I was dissatisfied with the service provided. The sales representative assured me that all services I inquired about were included, but they were not delivered. When I called to express my concerns and discuss cancellation, I faced rudeness and unprofessionalism from both ******* and ****, the managers. They repeatedly interrupted me and refused to waive the $250 cancellation fee. The agreement discrepancy was also a point of contention.Despite promises, Romex Pest did not provide regular services as agreed upon. They failed to treat my entire property and neglected essential tasks. I encountered various pests and had to handle the situation myself. When I tried to resolve the issue with ******* and ****, they were defensive and unhelpful. They canceled my account without consent and charged the cancellation fee.I requested contact information for a higher authority, but both managers claimed to be the highest level of authority within the company. They refused to provide any further assistance or corporate details. Their behavior was unprofessional and unethical throughout the entire interaction. Moreover, the sales process lacked transparency, as the service agreement was not provided in a physical format. The sales representative only presented an electronic signature box without a visible agreement, which raises concerns about their sales practices. In conclusion, I never agreed to cancel the service, yet Romex Pest canceled it without my consent and charged the cancellation fee to my card. Their lack of transparency, unprofessionalism, and unethical behavior left me feeling wronged. I advise potential customers to approach the company cautiously and be aware of their questionable practices. My primary request is to have the account canceled and the cancellation fee waived.

I entered into a 1 year service agreement with Romex Pet Control on April 4, 2022.On April 14, 2023, after 1 year, I informed Romex that I no longer needed their service and did not want to renew the service agreement. Romex purports the agreement was not fulfilled and is trying to charge me an early termination fee because there were only 5 services performed and not 6, however the agreement states that it is for a term of 12 months and makes no reference to the number of services performed.

This has been my regular company for a couple of months. I found rat droppings and saw a rat in my garage and they cant come for six days. I tried to cancel and find a different service because thats ridiculous. They have obviously taken on too many customers. I simply want to cancel and use a company that can get here quicker than six days they want to charge a $250 fee the manager was a clown.

Romex Pest Control is trying to charge me a cancellation fee for not completing all 7 scheduled services. The agreement has a schedule they are supposed to abide by and one month they skipped because "They didnt have a technician available" and now were at the end of the date and in order to cancel they want me to complete a 7th service or pay a $250 cancellation fee. They are the ones who broke the contract. ******* who I spoke with said this is my fault because July 8th I responded to a text from them asking if " We will be performing a free termite inspection will you be available?" I responded same day with "No I wont, I dont need it, thank you though." And tried to claim I rescheduled a month which I clearly didn't do, which doesn't even make sense because they still serviced my house in July. Spoke to ******* twice in the cancellation team and he continues to place blame on me after he admitted that for one month (September) they didn't have a technician available so they skipped it and messed up the schedule and are now trying to get a cancellation fee out of me. I no longer live at the address theyre trying to service and if they had kept the schedule this wouldn't have been an issue.

Originally I had someone come to my door and I signed up for a 5 service annual agreement. This was interior and exterior and they said at any time they would come back and retreat as necessary. The service in itself was ineffective as I had to have them come back after at least 2 of the treatments and my grass died from something they applied as well. They came for my final contractual service on 3/27.I noticed wasps rebuilding nests in 2 spots and an active fire ant mound in the yard.I notified them by both email on 4/24 and phone a few days later after no response. On 4/28 I received an email from them stating that I cancelled my device more than a month prior and if I wanted to pay for a new service they would be happy to treat.I asked if they stood by their service agreement and got no response.I paid $172 for each of 5 services. If the service was quarterly, why am I seeing wasp/ant activity not even 3 weeks after they were at my house This is absurd. I would never use this service again. They should stand by their quality and come retreat for what I already paid for.

We have refunded the amount for the last service. Please allow approximately 5-7 business days for your money to be back into your account.

I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution for a refund. I declined a retreat as their service is ineffective. They only responded due to the complaint to BBB but ignored previous communication efforts.

Took Pest control service from Romex month ago. One of main reason we took the service was to take care of mice issue at home. During Initial inspection , it was suggested to close the exposure and we reached out the builder and did that. We told many a times to the inspection guy to cover the whole entries in garage and inspector denied to do that. He has done this to our neighbors. The issues was not resolved and we reached out Romex again. They sent another specialist and he suggested to take exclusion control for that ( **** usd ) . If the initial inspection fixed small wholes in the garage , it wouldn't have become serious issue. We called Romex to give discount of exclusion as we have existing service. They said big no and said someone will reach our to make further details. We didn't get the call at all. Overall their pest control neither solved the problem nor give values suggestions for the fix. Since I am not happy with the service , called them and requested them to cancel to service. They charged the whole annual fee which is completely unfair. Having one year contract is trap to the customers and forcing the end customer to be with them for a year. This is completely unfair. If you are not serviced well and customer is looking for alternate or better service , Please be fair with your charges..

As pointed out before, the salesman, ******, should have been a used car salesman and I was an idiot for not reading the contract. He promised several services that he didn't incorporate within the contract on a small tablet with tinny lettering. The biggie is the $250 cancellation fee, which ****** said I could always cancel without penalty. I'll honor the contract for this year, we'll see how their service pans out.

Our agreement was that ROMEX would charge my account on the Thursday following service. 2 problems. 1.) We have not been recently serviced (the last we can recall was 2 or 3 months ago since the last time anyone has even seen a ROMEX truck on our street). #2.) Our home has not been serviced in at least 2 months, possibly 3, and I'm still being charged. I am contacting my financial institution to block all future transactions with ROMEX.

We have refunded and closed the account. Someone will be out to remove the ********* stations. This will be at no cost to you.

You were on an Every Other Month plan and we were last out for service on January 12. We also stopped by on January 27 and your next visit would have been March 23.

Feel free to call me if you have any questions.

A door to door salesman and owner of the Austin location (Nick ******* came to my door and explained their pest control. He mentioned a bi-monthly application and a $1 starting price for the first month. Next thing I used the handheld or phone and I agreed to start using the service and see if I like it. He never told me that this was a one year contract. I saw my signature and my initials in the contract that they generated but I did not see that in the screen that he showed me. This shouldn't be legal just to get your information and create a contract.

I agreed to a one year agreement with this company. They operate in several states. I one day received an email that showed my agreement several months past my 1 year mark. I contacted them and agreed to send me an agreement for one year which ended in June '22. Four months after the end of my agreement I came home to find a sign on my door saying my house has been service and a charge of $138 to my credit card. Mind you they have never came to my house without anyone being home. Not once. They assure that by texting you to verify someone would be home. This time they did not. I immediately called my credit card company to dispute the transaction (of which I won and was refunded) and put a block on their merchant account. The company said they had a right to continue service after my agreement ended until I notified them in writing to cancel. They even request several times to return to my house. I aggressively told them to cancel my agreement immediately. I had to reiterate this several times with threats to call the police if they stepped on my property. They then sent an email stating my account was cancelled. After that I called my credit card company because I kept receiving emails to update my credit card information because I owed them $37. My credit card company told me they blocked 3 different attempts to collect the $37 so far. I want this harassment and attempt to access my credit card to immediately stop. I'm afraid this company will send the bill to collections and ruin my good credit. I need your help. I already posted a review with BBB and google but they have a google account where google will remove any bad reviews making it appear they are a 5 star company when my entire subdivision has posted bad reviews. We have a Facebook group dedicated to warning any new residents about this company and their super aggressive sales tactics.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/18) */ Contact Name and Title: ****** ********* Manager Contact Phone: (XXX)XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *****@romexpest.com The final service of the agreement was completed in July. As your service agreement explains in the green text box underneath the calendar, "Upon completion of this agreement treatments will continue until cancelled by the customer." As a result, your account was still active and appt reminders were sent to you 4 days prior to service. You opened this email twice and we also texted you. Our system tracks this. You also signed and initialed this agreement. I will happily provide screenshots as proof. I have also emailed you privately to resolve this matter and you would not work with us. I have also called 3 separate times and have also sent multiple SMS messages so we can work toward a resolution. The $37 charge is a dispute fee that was applied when a charge for service was disputed. We had no issue closing the account after your request. We had closed the account, but only added the charge after you decided to dispute. If the balance is not collected within 100 days it will be sent to a collection agency, which is not something I want to happen to you. Again if you would like to discuss this further, please call me at (XXX)XXX-XXXX. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/11/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) If you prided yourself in your policies your aggressive salesman would have stated all you just said while selling your product. Just like other unethical companies you hide it in small print. You did not text me that you were coming out and you can't possibly prove that and you know it. Yes you did email me. Interesting that like every previous time your people came out to do a spraying you confirmed someone would be home. You didn't after my agreement was up. Also unethical. Other neighbors complained about this as well. I picture of my house is not proof any service was done. That's why your people always texted to confirm someone was home knowing I have a locked gate. Obviously a tactic used after agreements are up to trap the client into paying another session. The $37 fee added to my account was due to my bad review on ******* not the BBB Complaint. That can be proven. After all this I'm going to ask you to send my bill by mail. I will pay by certified check before the 100 days are up. I want the bill dated the day it was mailed. In lieu of that I will make sure my ****** review is updated daily. I'm retired, I definitely have the time. I will also be able to keep my BBB review posted. No matter if you keep getting people to add reviews over mine I will make sure mine is updated over and over as long as your company exists. Thank you for your time. One threat is as good as another. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/11/28) */ We never added a fee due to a ****** ******* That has never happened and we never do anything like that. We haven't made any threats whatsoever. Regardless, I have waived the fee and will send you an updated invoice in the mail. You no longer have a balance of $37 on your account and will not be sent to a collection agency at all. May you be well. ****** Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2022/12/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The business has come to a reasonable solution.
